Hello It has been way too long. Life is busy, healthy, and good. Mac turned 10 years old yesterday. He is growing into such a young man. He has a love for people that can only come from God. We have been off treatment for 5 blessed years and now only have to visit Egleston 1 time a hear. He is at his summer camp called Camp Sunshine this week. This is a camp for children that have had cancer and other similiar diseases. He really enjoys the camp and looks forward to going each year. For his birthday he bought a bearded dragon lizard. He named it JJ. It is a funny little animal that turns its head like he is listening to you. I will update some pictures to let everyone see how much he has grown over the years. Take care and continue to give thanks for Christ for the work he has done in Mac's life.

In Christ

David

It took a while but I finally figured out how to update the journal again. Mac is still doing great. He is getting ready to finish up his 2nd grade year. He is done so well. Our family is still doing all the normal things. It is great. I went to Mexico on a mission trip and while across the border I could not help but think about how blessed we are. I was not that many moons ago that it was a major trip for one of us to leave to house to go to town. The trip away let our family know how much we depend on each other. We are a TEAM. Mac and Tori was so glad when I got back. They had been praying for me. A dad knows that he is doing something right when his kids are praying for him. Tori is starting to school next year. Times flies. We continue to live on the blessings of Christ and the hope he gives. We are only going to the DR once every 3 months. We are about to go to a Surviors Clinic where they will check Mac out concerening the effects of the chemo. They will conduct test like a bone density test. It will be knew but we know that God has many things instore for Mac.

May God Bless You

Hello everyone,

Mac and Tori are counting down the days until Christmas. This is such an exciting time. Over the last couple of months we have had some hardships. Sometimes it gets hard to look for blessings, but once you think about them they are all around. We are so blessed that Mac was healed. We are praying for another healing. Mac's aunt Anna is struggling with her health. She will go to the doctor tomorrow. Landon, passed his hearing test. He has been put on a waiting list for the Marcus Institute for an evaluation to see if he may have some type of developmental delay. I know God who created Landon can heal his mind and body. Please pray that the doctors will act soon. We love you all and will keep you updated as soon as we hear.

A New Beginning

Well it was checkup time again for Mac and everything went great. It seems that my little giant has hit a growth spurt. In the past 2 months he has grown 7 inches. I think they had to double check the numbers when they saw that. Everything is still going marvelous. Mac is doing well in school and football is going again. While Ashlie was at Egleston she learned that there was a child that was not doing well. The next day they were going to have to decide whether or not to turn the ventilator off. I could not imagine that decision. Tori is still growing like an weed and has started pre-k this year. She is the funniest thing. She talks non-stop when she is picked up. I think she is really enjoying being a “BIG” girl. Our family is doing well and we always cherish your prayers. We will continue to go to checkup for about 7 more years but life is good!

May God Bless You

Hello everyone,
We hope you are having a great summer. We have been so busy. Mac went to Baseball camp with his friend Jasper. He had a great time. The past two weeks we have been going to swimming lessons. We are all counting down the days until beach time. Please pray that Papa, Kenneth, gets to go with us. He is having back trouble and it wouldn't be the same without Papa and Gigi at the beach. Mac has an Egleston appointment next week. So we will keep you informed. We are going to see Monica this week. Not long until school is back on, so enjoy your summer.
Love the Collins Bunch

Hello! I trust that everyone is doing well. Life is still going great as we count down the final day of school. Mac is playing baseball and getting better each day. The end of the school years is alway a crazy time. It was on the last day of school when we were told that Mac had Leukemia. We have been many miles since that day and the Lord has carried us all the way. This coming week I will be speaking at a Realy for Life Function. The chance to tell Mac's story is always exciting! The story really does not begin at the hospital. It really started at an old rugged cross. It was no surprise to God that Mac had Leukemia. it happened for God's Glory and Honor.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, March 11, 2008 9:31 PM EST

It has been a little while since the last update. Everything is still going great. Mac has to visit Egleston every two months now. we have come so far in this journey. It is still great to see all the wonderful people that have been with us on this journey. Mac had a great checkup and everything is looking great. We have started baseball and Tori has started taking gymnastics. They both are having a blast. Tori will turn 4 on the 13th. She was so tiny when we discovered that Mac had Leukemia. As our schedules include less visits they seem so be filled with more activities. Life is great!

May God Bless You

Wednesday, December 5, 2007 10:13 PM EST

Well it has been a while since our last update. I guess the main thing I can say is that Mac is doing great. Mac has been off his chemo for a little over a year and everything is just clicking along. He is doing a wonderful job at school and growing like a weed. We have added a new addition to our house in the form of a little puppy named Sasha. She is a little fireball. Sasha likes to chase Mac and Tori around the house. We are still having to visit the Dr office but we are now on a program to visit every other month. This is really great. Even though Mac has been off treatment for a year we still request that you pray for him. God is doing great things in his life and we continue to live each day on his grace and mercy.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning

A lot has happened since our last update. Everything is OK with Mac but several weeks ago PawPaw passed away. He had fought the cancer for a long time but it was finally time to go home. His love for life and his grandchildren has kept him going for sometime. We want to thank you for your prayers and for all the food. I know PawPaw would have loved to have pulled up a chair and ate a little himself. Mac is still doing great. Each day is still a blessing as God has healed him of his cancer. Football is going well. He is the center and just looks great.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning Day

Hello! It has been a while but I wanted to let everyone know that we are doing great. Mac has started 1st grade and appears to be doing great. Football has started and they have Mac playing center. He is doing great! I would like everyone to pray for PawPaw. The tumor in his leg is starting to make his legs swell. We always pray that God will intervene and provide healing. We also pray for good days and peace from the pain. We love all of you and just wanted to let you know that life is still great.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 25

Hello! I hope that all is going well for everyone. We have been having a great summer. Our trip to the mountains was peaceful. This week has been filled with swimming lessons. Mac is doing great in the water. Even Tori is getting comfortable with the water. We continue to enjoy the blessings of God. The journal entries are coming farther apart but we still realize how blessed we are and where our blessings come from. We continue to live on your prayers. Ashlie and I gave blood recently and all those memories of Mac having to have blood came flooding back. Though our lives go on to new chapters it is the past stories that have shaped and molded us.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 24

It has been a long time since my last update. Everything has been going great. We have been having a lot of fun. We went to the zoo yesterday. Mac and Tori enjoyed the animals. Fathers Day was extra special this year. Mac was saved during Bible School. He was baptized on Fathers Day. This was another step on the road for his life. God has great plans for his life. My plans can only reach out that happy and in God’s will in everything he does. My little boy is growing up. I love you son! Next week we are going to take a little vacation to the mountains. We are all excited about the time together.

A New Beginning 23

I am a week behind. Sorry. The main thing right now is that summer is officially here. We are all excitied about this time together. My family is the most important thing in the world and for the first time in 3 years we do not have any chemo to take and no school lessons to prepare. The Lord willing it is going to be an fantastic time. We will have some appointment to go during the summer. One coming up is to discuss Mac's ear surgery to make his left ear look like his right. There is nothing that can be done to give him hearing but they can repair the look of the ear. The thing is though, Mac does not want it fixed. He says that is the way God made him. Out of the mouth of babes! We are praying about what to do but we do want to talk to the doctor about our options. Relay for Life is tomorrow night so if you are around be looking for us and say "Hi!"

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 22

As usual I am a little late but that is because we are so living life. Mac is getting ready to finish K with a bang. He has done so well this year. He makes us all proud. Tomorrow will be the 3 year mark since we were told that Mac had leukemia. I remember the room we were in and the waiting for the final results. My little baby has since turned into a little boy with all the love for life and compasion for everyone he meets. The heart of a child is love because the heart of a child is that close to the heart of God. My family is blessed. My family is filled with love, hope, and grace. Events like this forever change the way you view life. My prayer for the countless people that visit this site is that we all realize the value of each day with your family. Make the most of it. Success is poverty compared to family. Mac is still enjoying each day and learning more and more. We are all ready to head to the beach this summer. Sand, ghost crabs, and the beautiful creation awaits.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning Day 21

The ball games continue and so we also move closer to summer. The Lord willing we have a super summer planned. Everyone is doing great and playing hard. Mac has done so well this year at school. He is reading all the time and has a great love for books. I think Tori will not be far behind him. Mac had a little fall tonight at my softball game and scraped himself up a little but he stopped complaining about it later. We will see how is feels tomorrow. We will be going into this summer riding on your prayers and the blessings of God.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 20

Mac continues to do well. He went for a check-up at Egleston last week and his counts were great. This will be the last month on his antiobiotic. This is one more praise and step toward finishing a long journey. Thanks for continuing your prayers.
Love,
Ashlie

A New Beginning 19

Come on summer. With all the testing over at school life is much calmer for the teachers. Mac is still enjoying playing T-ball and he is doing a great job. His health is great. We are so blessed! It is hard to believe what all we have come through to get to this point. Our little boy is growing up. We have started talking about the surgery that will make is ear look like the other one. We have not talked about it much but Mac does not have an ear canal in his left ear. My little man said that he did not want the surgery because that was the way God made him. From the mouth of babes come the riches of heaven. We are not sure how to handle this so please pray that we will have the wisdom of how to handle this decision.

May God Bless You

Thursday, April 19, 2007 9:36 PM EST

A New Beginning 18

Mac continues to do well. He played T-ball again tonight. He loves it. We love watching him and the team. Please continue to pray for him and our family. All of his great-grandparents are under the weather. Landon (Mac JR.) is doing better. Anna's test came back good. Keep praying that Mama Duck will continue to heal.
Lots of Love
Ashlie

A New Beginning 17

Everyone is doing great. Mac did have a little accident at school today and hurt his foot but that is just apart of growing up. He plays his first T-ball game on Saturday. We are all looking forward to that.

May God Bless You

Thursday, April 5, 2007 9:17 PM EST

A New Beginning 16

Well Mac has officially made the papers. His Celebration party was a great success and everyone seemed to have a good time. Mac as excited all day. It was great to have Mamma Duck there to celebrate with us. We wished all the staff at Egleston good have came. We love them all. This celebration was really for everyone that has prayed us through this journey as much as it was for Mac. In the Old Testiment God's people would build a an alter to remember the goodness of God. This party was as such. Everyone that has been involved with us through this journey has reason to celebrate and share the goodness of God. We celebrate the past and anticipate the future. God's character never changes. Thank you to everyone that helped make the celebration a success.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 15

We are already beginning to enjoy the Spring Break. Mac and Tori are both feeling great and spending a lot of time outdoors. Mac has not had a major breakout in a while so that is an answered prayers. We are making the final plans for Mac's Celebration Party this coming Tuesday from 4-6 at Hopewell Baptist Church. We have always relied on the prayers of God's people and invite you so stop by. I guess the best thing to say tonight is that life is normal and life is fun. T-ball is going great. Mac and Tori's new dog Shadow loves both of them. The dog has became a outside dog but the kids get her out everyday for several hours to run and play. Our kids are doing just what kids should be doing: playing, playing and more playing.

May God Bless You

Friday, March 23, 2007 8:25 AM EST

A New Beginning 14

Life is still going great. Mac is not breaking out that much with the hives. It really seems to lend itself to a seasonal reaction. We are still making plans for the Celebration. It seems that Mac and Shadow (the new dog) are getting along great. Tori loves Shadow but just not the first thing in the morning. T-ball is still going well. Mac loves to hit but does not really like the running. With sports going on it is easy to get him asleep at night. I think we need to sign Tori up for a sport because she is my little night owl. Please continue to pray for Landon and Anna. The procedure on Landon did not show any thing significant which a a praise. Anna is having several test run today.

May God Bless You

Thursday, March 15, 2007 9:49 PM EST

A New Beginning 13

We have had a very busy week. Mac has lost a total of 3 teeth. He seems to like pulling the loose ones out. Tori turned 3 years old. It is such a joy to watch them grow up. She had to experience a lot with Mac's treatment also. She was practically raised on Mawmaw's biscuit and gravy. God has blessed use with wonderful children. Tonight we got another addition to the family. We have a 11 week only lab mix named Shadow. She is all black and very sweet. Mac has been wanting another job sense our poodle passed away. I think him and Tori will worry the poor dog to death playing with it. continue to pray for Anna and Landon. Landon will have some test run on Tuesday at Egleston. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

May God Bless You

Thursday, March 8, 2007 9:26 PM EST

A New Beginning 12

It has been a very long day at work but it is such a blessing so come home and see the family. No matter how life seems to go the fact that I have a family that is blessed with Gods love makes it all OK. The big news on the homefront is that Mac lost his first tooth. He was so excited. Of course he had to take it to school to show everyone. We spent night before last with Mac and a stomach virus. He seems to be feeling better but the hives (which had stopped for several days) have come back. We are back to treating them with medicine that helps a little. Please continue to pray that we can find a way to make them stop. Please also pray for baby Landon and Anna, they are having some medical issues. All in all life is going well and each day is still a blessing. We are making preparations for the big Celebration in April. It will be a celebration of life, of love, of mercy and most of all of God's amazing love. Mark your calendars for April 3, at Hopewell Baptist Church from 4-6.

May God Bless You

Saturday, March 3, 2007 8:20 AM EST

A New Beginning 11

We have been strolling around trying to make sure of what eat this past week and that has been a challenge. It seems like soy is in everything. We were getting a little furstrated so we called the dr back. It seems that while Mac did register for some food allergies his biggest factor was for mold. This is going to be a hard one since there is so much grass (hay) around our house. We are also looking under our house. It appears that water is getting under there when it rains. Every Everything else is going great. Mac is still doing super at school. We had a great time last night at some friends house. The kids were shall we say "kids". They were having a great time! Best wishes to all of you. We are working on the preparations for a big celebration to take place in April. God has richly blessed our family and we want all to celebrate with us!

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 10

I'm sorry about not updating the website. Thank your for reminding us. When we went to the allergist, four foods showed up positive. (diary, soybean, peanut, and tomato) I never realized how much stuff used soybean. He has broken out a little, but has not been on any medication. We have had to put him on a strict diet. He has been such a trooper. Please continue to pray for his breaking out. Thanks for all your prayers

Thursday, February 15, 2007 10:02 PM EST

A New Beginning 9

Life is still clicking along great. We are still having a problem with Mac breaking out. We go to the alergist on Wed. Tomorrow Ashlie will take Mac to Egleston for a checkup. This week Mac made Ashlie the sweetest Valentine Day card. He has such a tender heart. The weather has been making it hard to get outside but have made each warm day count. continue to pray that God's hand of mercy and healing is on Mac. God has so many wonderful things in store for him. Saturday we will get to see Monica. She is going to come and visit for a little bit. This will be the first time we have seen her since the court hearings and custody was taken away from her parents.

May God Bless You

Friday, February 9, 2007 10:20 PM EST

A New Beginning 8

Life is still moving at a nice and slow pace. Mac is doing well from having his port removed. He took it to school to show everyone. We are still breaking out and looking for wisdom from God in this area. Between all the crazy weather it has been rough finding time to play outside so we take every pretty day with thanks. We are schedule to see an alergist at the end of the month. Pray for this visit that answers will be found for the breaking out.

May God Bless You

Thursday, February 1, 2007 9:51 PM EST

Update: Everything went great with the removal of his port. He is recovering great and will be back in full swing in a couple of days. We met a family with a child named Grace while we were their. Grace has just started treatment for ALL just like Mac. Please lift her up in your prayers.

A New Beginning 7

We are making the final preparations for our trip to Egleston tomorrow. Mac will have his port removed!! We are all excited about this next step in our lives. Mac has been such a hero through it all. He is an inspiration to us all. I love you so much son! God has so much in store for you.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 6

As seems to be the trend I am a day late. Sorry! Life has got very busy. Mac is still doing great. The we have just finished medicine for the ear infection and are making the final plans for having his port removed on Feb.2. We have talked to Mac about it and at first he was excited but he is a little scared now. Please pray for the peace of God on him that we have had this entire journey. This has been a long awaited day. Going along with the appointment is one for his breaking out. We thought we had it figured out but that did not appear to be the case. We have a apointment Feb the 20 and 21st at different allergist. It is amazing the time it takes to get to see a doctor. Please continue to pray for wisdom for us. We are looking for the possible things that are breaking him out but without God's help I am afraid we are just looking in the dark.

May God Bless You

Saturday, January 20, 2007 10:30 PM EST

A New Beginning 5

I am a little late getting this entry in so please forgive me. everything is still going great. About the only thing that is still going on is that Mac is still breaking out. He is getting over an ear infection that gave us a little scare bacause he woke up at about 11:30 crying. We could not figure out what was wrong. He has been on medicine for about a week and going much better. We had a super time in the mountains. The crazy thing is that he did not break out the whole time we were gone. We went to the store today an bought a new mattress for his bed. We think that the one he had may have something in it that is making him break out. I hope that each and everyone of you are having a great new year. Please continue to lift him up in your prayers as we are getting closer for the removal of his port on Feb 2.

May God Bless You

Thursday, January 11, 2007 9:38 PM EST

A New Beginning 4

We are still busy with school and play. We have received good news from Egleston. Mac should be getting his port out of Feb 2 if everything continues to go well. Mac is still doing great in school and had a very good report card. We are going to the mountains this weekend for a little R&R. Everyone is ready for the trip.

May God Bless You

Thursday, January 4, 2007 9:59 PM EST

A New Beginning 3

We have had a very busy Christmas and New years. I did not tell everyone last time but Anna went to the hospital on the 24th and had a baby boy. Baby and mother are doing well. Mac was really ready to start back to school today. He wanted so much to see all of his friends. We went to Egleston for a check up and found out that we may get our port out at the end of the month. They are going to try us on Bactrim which is an oral antibotic. If all goes well Mac will not have a need for his port and we will be able to take it out. It makes me a little scared. I guess it is easy to hang on to the little things.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 2

We have been busy since the last update. Mac had an ear infection early in the week but seems to be doing better now. Of course dad took him hunting with an ear infection before we knew about it. He ran a low grade temperature that we treated at home and everything is much better. Christmas was a blast. Christmas is for sure made for the kids. Mac and Tori were so excited. They were running all over the house. Mac wanted me to leave the light on in the living room so Santa could see. All ub all life is going very well. We are enjoying our break and everyone is feeling great. I think we are all ready to see a little snow now.

May God Bless You

A New Beginning 1

Hello! I have sure missed updating each of you every night. It has really felt like a piece of me has left. Things are still going great. Mac is still healthy and playing hard. We are all getting ready for Christmas. Life is falling back into place and it is blessed. We still have to give him medicine for breaking out but we are still prayerfully about this matter and hope that it will eventually go away. Mac and Tori are two beautiful children. They play together well and fight well also just like brother and sister. WE visited Egleston yesterday to say hello. It was good to see everyone. Tori had an appointment for her breaking out but she is doing much better. A little bit of medicine is keeping hers under control. Christmas will be here and gone before I update again on next Thursday. I hope that everyone experiences the true meaning of Christmas in Christ. The presents are nice but the Savior is what it is all about. Thank you for your prayers and for still checking in on us. I should have some new pictures of Christmas next week.

May God Bless You

Day 933

Mac had his Christmas musical tonight at school. It was wonderful. He was singing loud and having a great time. It was special to see him up there singing with all of the other children. There are so many children at Egleston that are not able to do this. The disease of cancer is a terrible thing for anyone especially a child. Kids are suppose to be enjoying life to the fullest. Through your prayers Mac has this opportunity. Through your prayers my family has the opportunity to enjoy these wonderful years. My Savior is special. He has been our strengh and our shoulder for this journey. If you do not know Christ as your Savior find out the true meaning of Christmas this season. Tonight will be the last night that I will update every night. Life is getting back to normal. This journal has been be a resting place for so long it is hard to stop the daily entries. Through the journal I have found a place to share my feelings to you but really I have been sharing my thoughts to Christ. Emotions have never really been apart of my life. Through this journey I found another side of me that I did not know I had. Mac's journey has been our journey. As one journey stops another one begins. I will continue to update each Thursday night until he gets his port out which will be 6 more months. I want you to know how we are doing and the great things that God is still doing in his life. Though the daily journal ends please do not let your prayers stop.

May God Bless Each of you for your kindness and love

David, Ashlie, Mac and Tori Collins

We all had a good day today. Services were wonderful and the kids have played hard all day. Mac had a much better day with his breaking out.

May God Bless You

Saturday, December 9, 2006 11:08 PM EST

Day 931

Mac had another good day. He did break out a little today but hopefully tomorrow will be much better. It sure has been cold. We are barely into winter and I am already longing for the summer. I think we would all like to see a little so first though. Mac went down to Chunck Cheeze today for his PaPa's work family outing. Him and Tori had a blast with all the games. Later we celebrated his cousins Cameron's birthday so it has been a busy day. Everyone is fast asleep for another good day tomorrow.

May God Bless You

Friday, December 8, 2006 10:51 PM EST

Day 930

I promise tonight will be much shorter. If you did not get the cahance to read last night please do. It was for all of our prayer warriors as much as it was for us. Mac has had a great day and we are counting the days down until school is out for Christmas. We have a busy day tomorrow so it out to be interesting.

May God Bless You

Day 929

Life is slowing down a little bit and that is definitely for the best. We have been on a roller coaster ride for the past two years. We have been blessed from the beginning with the best friends and family. We started this journey 2.5 years ago. A young family that was getting ready for the summer had their plans changed. We were one day away from summer break when our world was forever changed. Future plans, trips, and laughs were exchanged for the hardest summer of our life. I would be amiss not to also testify that during this valley we saw the hand of God in ways that we have never seen. Until you have been through a tragedy you cannot fully understand the poem “Footprints in the Sand”. God carried us through the worse of times. I remember Mac unable to get out of bed, unable to eat, falling every time he tried to walk, and crying when we tried to make him. I remember the precious rides on the Gator. It was the one thing that brought him comfort. We put many of miles on that vehicle. I remember parking it under the pecan tree and just enjoying holding my son close. The fears of the unknown flooding my emotions that I never knew I had. To see your son hurt and know that there is nothing you can do is devastating. The stays in the hospital were killer. We had to leave our little girl at home to take care of our son. When a family is stricken with this disease it affects everyone! Through time we say many trips to the hospital. Many were scheduled and others were not. I remember the nurses inserting a tube in his nose because he was so constipated. The tube was put in when he was asleep but when he woke up the first thing he did was try to yank the tube out. The anger that was felt during these times can not be described. Life was not being fair. It can be said that adult could deserve what we get. We make bad decisions and the consequences of these decisions often shape our future. But a child, what have they done? The answer lies in the fact that they have done nothing but have been born. I wish I could say that I understand it all but I don’t. The only thing I know is that I have seen the power of God to heal my son. If I dwell on the why I only get angry. If I dwell on the who all I can see is Christ. As time moved on Mac got into a routine with the medicine and things got better. We were always afraid of him getting sick and several times had to close the doors of our house to the friends that had so loved us. This was a very hard decision but was necessary to protect his health. Over and over our friends and family have been with us on our journey. We held a couple of blood drives in honor of Mac. The outpouring of love that was shown was unbelievable. Even the Red Cross could not believe the turnout. Why did you come? Why did you care? Love! Love breaks down all walls. In addition to our friends we developed new friends that were treating Mac. The first day we were in the hospital we meet a lady called Momma Duck. Two scared adult were ministered to by this women that has turned into a wonderful friend. The staff at Egleston cared for us as much as they did Mac. Peggy, Hidi, Dr. Briones, Tara all showed unbelievable love to Mac. The list of names goes past my memory. Everyone at the hospital cared. The Bible teaches that no greater love can you have than you lay down your life for someone. I always thought this meant physically dieing for someone. During this journey I have come to realize that it means much more than that. It means people changing their schedules for you. It means people giving of their money for you. It means people giving a shoulder to cry on. It means people committing to pray for you and your family. There have been so many of you that have followed Mac’s journey over the past 2.5 years. I know that you read the journey daily and pray daily for my son. Thank you. My family has been made physically stronger because of this love. We have matured as parents and as Christians. What does the future hold? I do not know for sure but I now this: Mac is in the hands of God and I believe that he will be faithful to finish the healing that he has started. The test results show that Mac has no cancer in his body. God has a plan for his life. We chose the name Malachi from the Bible. We chose it because we realized that Mac was a gift from God. Malachi was a prophet that stood for God when no one else was listening. That has always been my prayer for Mac. Stand for God when no one else is listening. Proclaim his love, his power, his caring, and his mercy. Mac has seen all of this. One day he will see his salvation. Most parents want their children to do better than they did. I want Mac to know Christ better than I did and do. I want him to find his happiness in Christ and Christ alone. I want him to be what God wants him to be. I want him to find contentment in this life. I close with this thought. I hope each of you never have to experience what we had had to endure. I pray that your family stays healthy. I also pray that you find out what we have learned about God. He is faithful, he is Holy, and he loves you and he loves me. Thank you for loving us! Thank you for loving my son. Each of you had a part in Gods plan. Be encouraged by Mac’s healing. When your children are loud you should thank God that they can be kids. Please continue to always lift Mac up in your prayers.

May God Bless You

I am now officially finished with school and the work for my Masters. No more leaving my family to go to class. No more trying to work around the trips to Egleston, doing the homework in the room, and making it back to class. I get to be just plain old dad. Family is what it is all about!

May God Bless You

Unless something changes we are going to keep him out of school tomorrow aned give the medicine more time to work.

Since being off of chemo Mac has developed a pretty good taste for good. He still has problems with some food that he was sick on before because he thinks he will get sick again. Mac has had a good day. He did break out a little today but no like he has done before. We had another wrestling match tonight. My little boy is getting strong. Of course Tori had to try her hand on the bed also. Luckly, we kept her from falling off again.

Sunday, November 26, 2006 10:30 PM EST

Day 918

Much better day with the hives. I think he went all day without any. I got one of those special moments tonight. Mac wanted me instead of Ashlie to lay down with him and read a book about bugs. Some things (bug books) dads just do better:] Nights like tonight remind me of a song tht talked about with all the things I have done wrong I must have done something right. Children are the most precious things in this life. For those of you that have not seen the new pictures check them out.

May God Bless You

Saturday, November 25, 2006 11:51 PM EST

Day 917

We have made it through the first night in the past 2.5 years without having to take chemo (except when he was too sick to take it). It was a blessing for all of us. We have had a busy day playing and working around the house. Be sure to check out the new pictures.

May God Bless You

Friday, November 24, 2006 11:17 PM EST

Day 916

NO MORE CHEMO!!!!!! We have finally arrived to the day. Mac took his last dose of chemo tonight. We have a picture of the moment to share with you soon. He was so excited about the moment. We had little party with a big one to come. I am waiting for our visit on Tuesday to recap the 2.5 years but please know that we have cherished your prayers and will always urge you to remember Mac.

May God Bless You

Day 915

We have had a very good Thaksgiving. Tomorrow will be our last dose of chemo. Praise the Lord. The 2.5 year has came to the end. Mac is still fighting the hives and we have no idea what he is allergic to. The medicine worked a little better today so we pray that tomorrow will be much better.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, November 22, 2006 10:11 PM EST

Day 914

We are still breaking out and are starting to get a little furstrated by the whole thing. We called Egleston today an they prescribed Mac a 5 day supply of steroids. We are really praying that this will solve the problem. Please pray that the breaking out will go away. It is starting to bother Mac by causing him to itch.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, November 21, 2006 10:57 PM EST

Day 913

We are all looking forward to time off from school. I hope that everyone enjoys the Thanksgiving season and remember that every day is a blessing and every day has reason to be thankful for. I have only 2 more Tuesday night classes and I will be finished. I received the results in from my graduation test and I passed!

May God Bless You

Monday, November 20, 2006 9:21 PM EST

Day 912

Mac went to the allergist today and they seems to think that even though he is breaking out everything is OK. I guess that is why he is the doctor and I am not. He thinks that since the welps do no stay that the medicine is doing its job. We are going to watch it for a little while longer. Mac had a great day at school. His teacher won the contest and had to kiss the pig! Mac raised the most money out of any of the kids for the American Cancer Society. He was so happy. We will have pictures of the day soon. You know it always takes me a little while. Four more days till we are off the medicine!!!!! Oh yea, it looks like I messed the numbers up again on the day. It should be right now.

May God Bless You

Sunday, November 19, 2006 9:06 PM EST

Day 810/811

Sorry for not posting last night but I could not get onto the web site for some reason. We have had a blessed two days. Mac has been working real hard. His school is raising money for the American Cancer Society and the teacher that collects the most money has to kiss a pig. Mac has really wanted his teacher to win so he has been around collecting money. He has collected $94 this weekend! We want to thank all of our friends that gave money and the staff at Egleston that also gave money to help Mac. The money helps Mac’s teacher to win but more important than that is the money collected goes to fight the fight against cancer. This side of Heaven we will always have disease that affects the innocent because of the effects of sin in the world. God has granted doctors the ability to create treatments to do away with some of these terrible diseases. We realize and proclaim that the real healer is God and God alone. Whether the healing comes from medicine or divine intervention the creator of all is God and the giver of all life is God. We will spend this week in reflection about the past 2.5 years. It is coming to an end. Friday will be Mac’s last chemo. We will have a little celebration and a bigger one to come. Please continue to lift him up in your prayers whether he is on treatment or off. I know that God has wonderful things in store for him and he grows into a follower of Christ.

May God Bless You

Friday, November 17, 2006 9:23 PM EST

Day 809

We had a great visit today at Egleston. Mac did not have to have his port accessed because they are doing to do it when they do the final LP and bone marrow check. Mac will take his last medicine next Friday and on November 28 he will go for the checks mentioned. I think we are both a little nervous but at the same time we know that God has got everything in his hand.

May God Bless You

Thursday, November 16, 2006 10:57 PM EST

Day 908

The weather sure has been cold today so there has not been any outside playing. Mac had another breakout spell. Continue to pray about this. He is still doing well in school and enjoying each day. Overall his is having a great time and the only problem he seems to be having is the breaking out. He does seems to be getting tired lately and is actually taking a nap at school. I really think this is because he probably should go to bed earlier.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, November 15, 2006 10:09 PM EST

Day 907

Another day has came and gone. Mac has had a wonderful day and remained breakout free up until tonight. This still has us baffled about the reason but we know that God knows what it causing it. He created the heavens and the universe and has complete control of everything going on. We ask that you would still pray for wisdom to understand the cause so we can correct what he is coming into contact with.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, November 14, 2006 11:59 PM EST

Day 906

Mac took a very late nap today so it was a long time before we could get him asleep. He is still breaking out and we area still trying to figure out the cause.

May God Bless You

Monday, November 13, 2006 8:07 PM EST

Day 905

Mac has had a pretty good day. His breaking out seems to have done better. It has been a relaxing afternoon that is always needed. He has some friends over right now so with three boys in the house it is a little rowdy.

May God Bless You

Thursday, November 9, 2006 9:04 PM EST

Day 901

Mac has had an interesting day. He was broke out this morning still so we took him to the doctor. After that he wanted to go to school (I have got to talk to him) so he went for a little while and then started to break out again so he came home. Please life this breaking out problem to Christ. Pray that we will be able to determine what is causing him to break out so we can work on keeping him from it. I had the same problems growing up and we never really determined the cause. Everyone else is feeling great and loving each day.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, November 8, 2006 10:52 PM EST

Day 900

We have hit the big 900 mark. Not much longer. Mac has had a case of the breakouts today. It seems that Mac and Tori both got their dads skin. May God Bless You

Monday, November 6, 2006 10:28 PM EST

Day 898

This going to school one day and then off a day works for me. Mac has had another good day and it ready for a day off. Ashlie is going to the doctor tomorrow to have a little procedure done so please keep her in your prayers. They are basically trying to rule out the possibility of cromes. That is probably not spelled right but it has to be pretty close.

May God Bless You

Sunday, November 5, 2006 8:42 PM EST

Day 897

We all went to see Monica this morning. She was really surprised to see us at her church. She looked wonderful and appears to be doing well. It is such a blessing to see God work in the lives of all of those kids. Mac has had a headach today and has started to cough. We are not sure of the cause so please lift this up in your prayers. I know that there is a lot of this going around.

May God Bless You

Saturday, November 4, 2006 9:18 PM EST

Day 896

The basketball game was wonderful today. Mac did much better. He still had that million dollar smile on his face the entire game. It is probably good that they do not have a scoreboard because it would really not matter to Mac what the score was. We are going tomorrow to see Monica baptized with her 3 brothers. It should be a very special day.

May God Bless You

Friday, November 3, 2006 10:17 PM EST

Day 895

It has been a chilly but warm day of the heart. Mac is really getting the hang of school. He wrote 6 sentences in his journal today. We went to see his cousin Katie twirl the flags tonight at the football game. Mac like the game and Tori loved the band. The are a sight. Mac has another game tomorrow. It ought to be interesting.

May God Bless You

Thursday, November 2, 2006 10:26 PM EST

Day 894

Mac had a short basketball practice tonight to get ready for the big game on Saturday. Other than that we have spent the day at home. It was great. He did have his count done today and was able to get his flu shot. The only one left is Tori and she will get hers on Monday. Mac got real tired tonight so it was good that he got to bet at a decent time.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, November 1, 2006 9:11 PM EST

Day 893

Today has been a little slower than yesterday which is always a plus. We had a short wrestling match tonight. It was going well until Tori fell off the bed. She is OK but we may have to find another place for the matches. Mac has another basketball game this weekend. Please be in prayer for a friend of ours named Earnie. He has develped a type of cancer and needs your prayers. Pray for God's miracle hand to touch another.

May God Bless You

May God Bless You

Saturday, October 28, 2006 9:44 PM EST

Day 889

What a day. All of our schedules have been busy. Mac had a basketball game at noon. He had such a good time. He smiled the whole game. All the running wore him out but he was still smiling. He was not real agressive on the court about goin after the ball. He is such a good natured child. We are going to have to work on that a little bit but the most important thing is that he enjoyed himself! My test went well I think. It will take 3 weeks for me to know the results. The biggest thing I can say is that I had peace before and after the test. Thank you for all of your prayers. Mac's teacher is coming for lunch tomorrow. It ought to be an interesting day.

May God Bless You

Saturday, October 28, 2006 6:57 AM EST

Day 888
It is early Saturday morning and everyone is still fast asleep. In my studies I forgot to do the journal. Mac had a great week at school and was able to get out of the tresure chest. He is excited about his first basketball game today. We are still fighting the morning nausea that is associated with the chemo. As the day goes on and his gets going his body does much better and all the signs are gone. In a few hours I go to take my comprehensive final. The time away from my family for school is coming to an end. We all at times must make adjustments for different reasons. May these adjustment never become a way of life for myself or for others. Family is just way to important!

May God Bless You

Thursday, October 26, 2006 10:31 PM EST

Day 887

Today has been a normal day and that it good. We have been busy all week with revival. We have seen many people saved and that is always a specail but sometimes it is good just to prop your feet up at you house and relax. Everyone is feeling fine and sleeping fast at the moment. I usually do not request any prayers for myself but I do have a special one for Saturday. The past year I have spent working on my Masters of Education. Saturday is the big day and the big Comprehensive Examination. A four hour final to determine if I will receive my Masters. Please pray for the wisdom to cover the necessary knowledge. I have had to take time away from my family to complete this task and I am about finished and ready to get back to just being dad and husband but I must get over this hurdle. Please pray that God will grant me the wisdom necessary. Moving on to other matters we had a great wrestling match tonight. Tori is getting the hang of it. Oh how I love my family!

May God Bless You

Wednesday, October 25, 2006 10:58 PM EST

Day 886

Everyone has had a long but great day today. We finished off revival tonight. My plate is full of things to reflect upon. Mac was up for a wrestling match tonight and then quickly went off to bed. We have wonderful news about Dr. Briones. It appears that his wife is improving greatly and is not in ICU anymore. I will let you know more as we find it out.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, October 24, 2006 9:48 PM EST

DAy 885

Another night of school is over! Mac is getting ready for his first game this weekend. He woke up a little bit when I got home talking about going to play and having to practice. He had no idea what he was saying. He had a good day at school today and is really starting to take to reading. He has always like math a little better ( I think) but his reading is really picking up.

May God Bless You

Monday, October 23, 2006 9:43 PM EST

Day 884
Everyone is tired and have headed for bed. Church was wonderful tonight. Mac got a little happy during the service. When we got home Mac said he was too tired to wrestle. He plays hard but when it comes that time and he is tired he goes to sleep pretty good. Tori on the other hand appears to have got her second wind. She is a mess. We are enjoying the grand days. God has done so much for us and through us. I have the best family a man could ask for.

May God Bless You

Sunday, October 22, 2006 10:09 PM EST

Day 883

The weather cleared today so the kids were able to play outside. I think they needed that. We had a good start to a revival tonight. We have a prayer request for all of our prayer warriors. Mac's doctor, Dr. Broines, wife is in desperate need of your prayers. She is pregnant and has had major complications. I am not sure of all of the exact detail but his wife is in ICU. The baby is doing OK but she is not. Please lift her up. This doctor has taken such good care of Mac. Pray that God will take care of him and his wife and deliver them from this medical emergency.

May God Bless You

Saturday, October 21, 2006 10:20 PM EST

Day 882

We have been busy all day today. This afternoon Mac had his Fall Festival. It was a wild time. Him and Tori came home with 2 goldfish. I remember those days. I hope these 2 fish do better than the ones did in our big tank. We have had to start over with that one. If this does not work I guess it was not meant for fish to be in this house:]

May God Bless You

Friday, October 20, 2006 11:19 PM EST

Day 881

Mac had a good check-up today. His counts have dropped back to 1600. His idea range in between 500 and 1500 so this is pretty good. It has been a long day for him and Ashlie with the field trip and the trip to Egleston so I know they both will sleep very well. We found out today that Mac will probably keep his port in for 6 months after he finishes treatment so they can continue to give him his antibotics. They want to be careful that he can fight off anything while his body tries to recover for the 2.5 years of treatments.

May God Bless You

Thursday, October 19, 2006 10:45 PM EST

Day 880

WE started the day off with Mac throwing up. He woke up early so we should have known. We are praying for a much better morning tomorrow for my little hero. He has a field trip tomorrow so I am sure he will have a blast. He goes back to Egleston tomorrow so keep him in your prayers.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, October 18, 2006 10:21 PM EST

Day 879

I learned a new word today, nifty. Thanks Boss. I guess that means that today was nifty. Church services were great. I was home tonight so Mac and Tori had their wrestling match. They are so funny. They try to gang up on me with Tori yelling "Bubba, Help!" Mac goes back to Egleston on Friday for a check up. Please begin to pray that the port acess with go well.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, October 17, 2006 11:13 PM EST

Day 878

Mac had basketball practice again today. He was tired because he fell asleep before practice. He has always been hard to get going after a short nap. I had school tonight when I got home he said that it was too late to wrestle. I hated to see thatlook in his eyes. Tomorrow we will have to do a double match!

May God Bless You

Monday, October 16, 2006 8:45 PM EST

Day 877

We went over to my parents house tonight and Mac played himself out. He fell asleep on the ride home. Once he is asleep you can forget about getting him up. He has felt great today. The police came to the school today so the kids could see the police car. I think Mac enjoyed it. This Friday he goes on his first field trip. I am sure he will have a blast.

May God Bless You

Sunday, October 15, 2006 10:04 PM EST

Day 876

We had a good day of worship today. This afternoon we celebrated PawPaw's birthday. Tori thought he needed a party hat so we had to bring some to the party. Mac has felt good today and has had a lot of fun outside playing today.

May God Bless You

Saturday, October 14, 2006 10:54 PM EST

Day 875

Mac and me took a little trip with Grandale to Bass Pro Shop this morning. This is a store made for the boys. Mac loved looking at the fish. On the way home we bought two more for our tank. We will have to see how they do. Mac has had a busy day and is already fast asleep.

May God Bless You

Friday, October 13, 2006 10:11 PM EST

Day 874

The weekend has arrived and we are all ready for it. Contrary to what most people probable think a short week at school is worse than a 5 day week. Mac received an award at school today for Outstanding Character. We are really proud of him. He seems to get along with everyone. This morning was much better with his nausea so he had a good day.

May God Bless You

Thursday, October 12, 2006 10:09 PM EST

Day 873

This morning started off a little rough. Mac drank two cups of milk and it did not agree with his stomach when he got to school. Ashlie took him back home and cleaned him up and he was able to go back to school. We have a Sprite ready for him in the morning. I think he just drank too much milk. Tomorrow is Friday and the start of another great weekend.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, October 11, 2006 9:41 PM EST

Day 869-872

I am sorry for not updating the journal but where the Lake is has probably not even heard of a computer much less the internet. I tried last night but the server was down. We had a wonderful time over this break. The is not much to do at the Lake which makes it the best place this side of Heaven. Sitting on the back poarch you can see a piece of Heaven every morning as the sun comes up and the birds are singing. The lake shines like glass. Mac and Tori had a great time. We fished most of the days and one night we roasted marshmellows. Tori was a sight. She was sticky from one end to the other. Mac did not catch any fish but enjoyed the time at the Lake. Moments like these bring back my own childhood. Those precious times spent on the lake can never be taken away. It is from these times that memories are made. I hope one day that Mac can remember the good times we had sitting on that bank waiting for the fish to bite. I truely believe that times like these are where fathers make and nurture their little boys into men. God has been so gracious to such an undeserving man as myself. I have a wonderful family and tresure every minute with them. Mac is talking about the day he will get his port out. He is very excited about this day. May God's grace and mercy ever abound on his life.

May God Bless You

Saturday, October 7, 2006 9:18 PM EST

Day 868

We are packing our bags for a little trip. The kids are all excited and so are we. It will be good to have some peace and quiet. The Lake is for sure the place for this. The only sounds you really hear are the crickets at nights and the ducks in the morning. What a place! Mac had a partner tonight while we wrestled. Tori decided to jump into the battle. She was all over me. They thought they had me a couple of time but I turned the table. They are so precious when they are playing.

May God Bless You

Friday, October 6, 2006 10:58 PM EST

Day 867

Mac and Tori both enjoyed their day together since there was not school today. We have started our fall break and are looking forward to spending time together. These are always the best times.

Thursday, October 5, 2006 9:36 PM EST

Day 866

All is well. Mac had his counts checked today and they appear to be dropping like they are suppose to. We are looking forward to several days off from school so the family can spend more time together.

Wednesday, October 4, 2006 10:23 PM EST

Day 865

Mac has had a splendid day. He had a fun time at church tonight. He has reading homework everynight. It is amazing how well he is doing. We go tomorrow to see what his counts are. We will do this locally. It will be interesting to see how the additional medicine is making his counts drop.

May God Bless You

Day 864

Mac enjoyed his last day of football practice. It is been a long day so I have not been able to put the new pictures on. Mac did not go to basketball practice tonight. This was our decision. The two practices have just been too hard on him. We did not realize this when we signed him up knowing that there would be a 2 week overlap. He has had a great day with our usually nightly ritual of wrestling.

May God Bless You

Monday, October 2, 2006 10:35 PM EST

Day 863

We have had a calm and relaxing day. Mac had the day off from any kind of practice and that was really needed. All is still in the house as everyone is asleep. It is at these moments that I can really reflect on the love of God. God has richly blessed my family throughout our ordeals. His hand of mercy and grace abounds greater that I can imagine. To look at all we have been through and not see the hand of God is to be blinded. To see Mac sleeping in his bed so peacefully is to know that angles are truely all around. I pray each day that my life will be a testamony to my son, my daughter, and my wife. Mac has his own to share oneday. He remembers the finer details of his treatments as if it was yesterday. For Mac that means that it all happened when he was three:] I am sorry for rambling but I just want everyone to know that the doctors, nurses, friends, and family have been great but the hand of God working throught these dear people and the blood of Christ continues to work in my family. I hope that each of you can say the same.

Sunday, October 1, 2006 10:08 PM EST

Day 862

I think everyone is feeling better. We are hoping than no one else comes down with what Ashlie had. Keep praying for a hedge of protection around Mac and Tori. Tuesday will be the last football practice and then Mac can concentrate on basketball. It has been a while since I have updated the pictures. I will have some sports pictures this week.

May God Bless You

Saturday, September 30, 2006 10:47 PM EST

Day 861

It has been a very relaxed day. Ashlie appears to be feeling a little better. Me, Mac, and Tori went to see Coplain play football this morning. After that is has just been a lazy day.

May God Bless You

Friday, September 29, 2006 11:24 PM EST

Day 860

This week as went by pretty fast with all the time spent in court. Mac has finished another week. He will make up his football practice on Tuesday. Ashlie is sick so please keep her in your prayers. I would not even attempt to spell what the doctor says she has but her throat is hurting and she has started taking medicine. Her strep test came back negative.

Thursday, September 28, 2006 10:26 PM EST

Day 859

It sure was great to see the rain today. Football practice was rained out but I know that Mac needed a rest. He is getting better at basketball each practice. The one thing that is great is that he is having so much fun!

Wednesday, September 27, 2006 9:11 PM EST

Day 858

Mac was very tired this morning. This was his worse day yet. All these extra activities are really wearing him out. He is sleeping great but just does not seem to be getting enough. At the same time the additional chemo has to be taking his counts down also. He is still not eating like he has been in the past. His body will have to get use to the additional chem. We have wonderful news about Monica. We finished up in court today and the judge ordered that parental rights be seperated. Custody of Monica and her 3 oldest brothers has been signed over to the Chick-fil-A Winshap foundation. I will be the first to admitt that given normal conditions it is best for children to stay with the parent. These kids case was not normal. I will not go into any details but this decision was an answer to much prayer. These kids can now create a life that is safe and well provided for.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, September 26, 2006 10:31 PM EST

Day 857

Mac was very tired today. It seems that having football and basketball practice is rough on him. The funny thing is that tonight we still have to wrestle and then later he had to stretch. He was a sight to behold on the football field. He was smiling the whole time. It does not matter that other children are faster than him. He is having a great time and that is what counts. I heard a mom tell her child to run the ball like another child. I know she meant well but all I could think about was if the child took it that way. Parent, be careful how you encourage your children. Encourage them to take pride in their on work and not always comparing them to others. Oh how I love to see Mac smile!

May God Bless You

Monday, September 25, 2006 10:15 PM EST

Day 856

All is well in the Collins household. Everyone is a sleep and feeling great. Mac is reading for practice tomorrow. He had a good day and appeared to do well on his new medicine dose.

May God Bless You

Sunday, September 24, 2006 10:13 PM EST

Day 855

Church services were wonderful as well as a lot of getting my toes stepped on today. Mac told us this morning that he was having a fun time going to church. That is always good to hear. We are hoping for a great week. The additional chemo has caused Mac to be a little nausea in the morning. A zofran is helping. He took his last 2 tablet dose for the week tonight. The rest of the week will ne the usually tablet and a half. We are praying that the week goes well.

May God Bless You

Saturday, September 23, 2006 10:32 PM EST

Day 854

Mac has gotten back into the wrestling mode. it seems that we have to find the big bed a couple time a day so he can try and take the title form dad. i remember doing the same thing with my dad. I guess I will have to let him learn like I did that the title never passes until you have kids of your own. I love you dad! Mac has had a relaxing day today. We went to the movies to see Cars. Mac and Tori sat through the whole movie watching everything. A couple of times during the movie Mac was pumping his hands in the air in excitment.

Friday, September 22, 2006 8:54 PM EST

Day 853

Mac had a good visit today at Egleston. His counts (ANC) were high and as a result they have increased his 6MP chemo to bring them down. This is not a concern as we have doing this many times. The problem is that Mac is growing and gaining wait so his body is requiring more chemo to get the desired results. We say Mamma Duck today. Please keep her in your prayers. She is going to have a hip replacement and is hobbling around bad. I was exciting and nerve racking to talk to the doctor today about what will happen when Mac goes off treatment. They will do a bone marrow check, spinal fluid check, and take his port out the same day. If we ever take our eyes off Christ is easy to way what if. God has taken care of all of us this far and he will be faithful.

May God Bless You

Thursday, September 21, 2006 10:35 PM EST

Day 852

I know that I have not mentioned much about Monica lately but she is doing well in the CFA group home and is making great progress in her education and her faith. Mac has had another busy day with tomorrow going to be worse. He has football and basketball practice. Pray for strength and endurance for him.

Tuesday, September 19, 2006 10:34 PM EST

Day 849/850

It looks like I did it again. I wrote the journal for last night and did not post it correctly. Sorry! Mac is doing wonderful. He is still busy with sports. This Thursday he has football and basketball practice. We go back to Egleston on Friday for our monthly checkup. Mac has been having some blood in his stool. He has had this happen several times before but it always makes us a little nervous because they never can seem to tell us why. Please pray for a great checkup on our road to being finished with treatments.

Sunday, September 17, 2006 9:41 PM EST

Day 848

It has been a blessed day. The weather has been right and the kids have enjoyed it. Mac has started riding his play Gator again. Today he took turns on that and the 4 wheeler. Hopefully we are all rested for another week.

Day 847

Mac played himself to an early bed time tonight. We went to town and of course we had to stop by the pet store. We got our first African Cichlid. We will see how he does before we get more. On the way home Mac went to sleep. I guess he knew he had to get a bath when he got home:] We have had a wonderful day being together.

Friday, September 15, 2006 11:30 PM EST

Day 846
Mac is excited about not having to wake up in the morning for school. We spent a good amount of time this afternoon playing. Mac and Tori got on the play John Deer Gator and went for a drive. It has a site to see with both of them waving. They love each other so much even though at time they get on each others last nerve.

Thursday, September 14, 2006 10:45 PM EST

Day 845

Everyone went to bed early tonight. Mac is ready for the weekend. With the weather having cooled off it is much easier for the kids to play outside. Mac came home after football practice and practiced hitting on a hitting tee. He did a super job and had me, Ashlie, and Tori chasing the balls all over the place. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, September 13, 2006 10:38 PM EST

Day 844

Mac is out for the night after having a good night. He is doing well with his memory verses at church. Tori was a little hard to get down tonight. Tomorrow we get to have a little football fun again. It seems like since school started back life is just a blure with all that is going on.

May God Bless You

Day 843

We had another day of football today. I cannot get over the feeling of seeing Mac run around that field after all the days of treatments. He is having a fantastic time and just enjoying life. He is getting tired a lot lately due to his busy schedule and all the exercise. Please pray for strength and endurance for him through each of the days. I have a prayer request for a friend of mine that I work with. Trina has been diagnosed with breast cancer. This is a very shocking blow for her and her family. She is my age so this is not really expected. Please pray for God’s grace, mercy, strength, and healing power to illuminate in and through her life.

May God Bless You

Monday, September 11, 2006 10:43 PM EST

May God Bless You

Sunday, September 10, 2006 10:37 PM EST

May God Bless You

Day 793

Last night was a late one but we made a lot of progress on Mac's big boy room. Hopefully we will be putting the boarder up tomorrow. We go to Egleston tomorrow for a checkup and to receive his monthly antibotics. The summer is quickly coming to a close and I sure had to see it end.

May God Bless You

Day 792

David and I are having a painting party tonight. Mac got new bedding and we are painting his room. He still had border from his baby room. It is kind of sad. But he is so excited about his "hunting" room. Thanks to Abby and Jonathan, we do not have any little helpers. They are spending the night with them. Mac seems to be a little emotional lately. I think he is just worn out. He wants to go and go. Tori is our little princess. She tries hard to keep up with her Bubba.

Day 790-791

Let everyone know that we are back and rolling on a different computer until I get mine fixed. It appears that my hard drive is toast according to my famous high tech cousin (thanks Brent). I always have someone that can answer my questions. Things are still going smoothly. Mac is feeling great and getting ready for school. We are trying to figure out how to get him up in the morning. He is a heavy sleeper so it ought to be interesting. I promised new picture and they will be coming later in the week. Its crazy how dependent I have become to a computer. I worked all day today to get my check book back on the computer so I could balance it. Tori is still all smiles. She has a tendency like Mac to get into fire ants so right know she has about 15 bites on her legs. I hope that life is going well for everyone and continue to check in on us and praying for us daily. Oh yea, Ashlie wanted me to tell you that Mac was having a super day in the last journal and not a supper day. Too many teachers in one house:] Mac does not stand a chance.

May God Bless You

Thursday, July 20, 2006 5:44 PM EST

Day 787-789

Sorry for the lapse. My computer has messed up and will be down for a couple more days. Mac is still doing supper as we going into the last leg of this summer break. This will be the last summer that we have with a child not in school. It is wonderful to see him grow up and enjoy life.

May God Bless You

Monday, July 17, 2006 11:03 PM EST

Day 786

It has been a hot day today. "O" came to spend the day with us. All the kids were playing all over the house. I will have some new pictures tomorrow of Mac playing on his water slide with one of his friends. He waited all day for her to come and play. You will enjoy the pictures when I get them posted. Mac is still feeling great. He is developing such a personality. Some of the things he says would amaze you. I have been reading a book titled "Gift of Life" by Henri Landwirth. This man is responsible for the creation of Give Kids the World. If you want to find out more about this foundation you might try this book. In his book he quotes Winston Churchill by saying, "We make a living of what we get and we make a life by what we give." What a wonderful expression about life. Hate breeds hate but love breeds love. Hate can never overcome love but love can always overcome hate. My family has received so much love over the last 786 days. We have been loved by so many people. We continue to cherish your prayers and your expressions of love!

May God Bless You

Sunday, July 16, 2006 11:27 PM EST

Day 785

We started the day off with a wonderful day at church. Mac and Tori have spent the day playing and having a great time. The evening service was about the Church being the Bride of Christ and the husband loving his wife like Christ loved the church. To think about this sends chills up my spine. Mac and Tori good at church. Tori would not stay in the nursery I guess because we have spent so much time together on vacation. Mac is still felling well praise be to God.

May God Bless You

Saturday, July 15, 2006 11:25 PM EST

Day 784

We have spent an enjoyable day around the house today. Mac went and had his counts done and they appear to be fine. All in all it has been a nice calm day. Mac's appetite has been a little off today. This is probable due to the Friday does of 6MP and Methotrexate. It should get better in a day or so.

May God Bless You

Friday, July 14, 2006 10:15 PM EST

Day 783

Today has been a much calmer day. As usually it was spent unpacking, washing, getting caught up on the grass and the toys that have not been played with in a while. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the pictures of our vacation. As I said before we wanted to share a bit of our life with the ones that are praying for us. I think that Mac had the time of his life. He is still talking about all the things we did. I have to say that for a 5 year old he was ready to handle any roller coaster. He wanted to get on some of the big ones but maybe next time. Disney, Make a Wish, and Give Kids the World work hard to insure that every child has a super time. We were able bypass the lines at each ride due to our “magic” buttons that you may have seen in some of the pictures. They treated us like royalty while we were there. Tori enjoyed her self but she still hates to see characters in costumes. You may have noticed some of the tears in the photos. Our fancy meal was served in the castle. The place was called Cinderella’s Palace. It was neat to be called My Lord or My Lady. The kids enjoyed the little show that was performed during the meal. The magic in the buttons is displayed in the smiles and laughs of Mac and Tori. It is these smiles that make each day a blessing. As summer comes to a close it has been unimaginable. We have been able to have so much family time. I have often wondered what people talk about on the front porch when their kids have all grown up when the mom and dad did not spend enough time with the kids. As for us we are set on making memories, looking toward the future, and enjoying the present.

May God Bless You

Thursday, July 13, 2006 11:01 PM EST

Day 782

We are home!! It is so wonderful to be back in our home. We had a fantastic time. I will tell you more about it tomorrow. Right know though we are all heading for bed.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, July 12, 2006 11:50 PM EST

Day 781

We had a great time at the Magic Kingdom tonight. Our fancy meal was a very enchanted evening. We had one final go on several of the rides and then called it a night. We will head home tomorrow and thus end a very special week in our families life. Mac's wish has been a week to remember in all of our lives. We want to thank everyone that has made this week possible. The folks from Make a Wish and Give Kids the World are very special to us. They have made it possible for this week to happen. Mac will never forget this week and neither will the rest of us. Thank you to each and everyone to you that have prayed us through another week.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, July 11, 2006 1:00 A.M. EST

Day 780

Sea World was good today. I think we are all wearing out a little bit. The killer whale show was wonderful. Most of the new pictures are of things we say today. Mac is still feeling great so please keep on praying for his health to stay super.

May God Bless You

Monday, July 10, 2006 10:33 PM CDT

Day 779

Well, we hit the Animal Kingdom again today. I think it also hit us. We went to Dinoland. Mac rode the rollar coaster twice. He loves it. We also saw The Festival of the Lion King and It's Tough To Be a Bug. We went to see the parade tonight. It was beautiful. We are going to sleep a little later tomorrow and go to SeaWorld. Mac is loving the rides.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Monday, July 10, 2006 1:23 AM EST

Day 778

What a day! We have been going all day. This is coming late not because I forgot but because we just got back to the hotel at 1 A.M. Everyone is wore out and already asleep. We made reservations today to eat at a fancy place on Wednesday. Mac and Tori are both doing well and having a super time. Please check out the new pictures.

May God Bless You

Saturday, July 8, 2006 11:11 PM EST

Day 777

Hello from Disney World. What a day it has been. We know have a family of fliers. Mac, Tori, and Ashlie took their first flight today as we went to Disney World. They all did a super job. Mac kept looking out the window. He could not believe that he was higher than the clouds. The people from Give Kids the World have been super nice to us. We had to complete some orientation work tonight but that did not stop Mac and Tori from having fun. We were able to watch fireworks tonight from our back porch. They were beautiful. I am going to try and update the pictures every night so each of you can share in our fun. It is your prayers that carry us. It is not much but we wanted to give you a little something back in terms of seeing the smiles of Mac and Tori’s face as we get to experience Mac’s Wish.

May God Bless You

Friday, July 7, 2006 10:12 PM EST

Day 776

The bags are packed and we are ready to go. The kids are going down for a good nights sleep because it will probably be the last sleep we get until we get back. Mac has seen the video and he wants to do it all. It will be a wonderful week. Please lift us up this week. We are a long way from Egleston so please pray for health, safety, and fun.

May God Bless You

Thursday, July 6, 2006 10:15 PM EST

Day 775

We are on the count down and have started packing. We are so excited and blessed to have such a great opportunity. Please pray that no one is sick or gets a fever. I know God is fixing to bless us. Thank you, Lord. Please continue to pray for Tori and the doctors. Mac is still doing great and we are praying through a cough. Damon Noll is having scans done soon. Please pray for them. We all went to help Dad work on his classroom today. I think you called it work.
May God Bless

Wednesday, July 5, 2006 11:28 PM EST

Day 774

All is well. Everyone is feeling fine and enjoyed today. Mac went and got a big boy haircut. He told Ashlie that he wanted his hair cut like mine but I have a better chance of winning a million dollars than he has of Ashlie letting him shave his head.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, July 4, 2006 9:13 PM EST

Day 773

Happy 4th of July. Today we celebrate independence and a new way of life. Contrary to what the news and other media sources will tell you our country was founded on Christian principals. The principals and led the charge for a better place. In case you were not aware, the motto of the Revolutionary War was No King But King Jesus. I think that even the most "clouded" minded invidual should be able to understand this statement. Why do I mention all of this on Mac web site? This freedom and the hand of God have made it possible for cures to be developed for a disease such as Leukemia. Mind you though, our deliverence come from God and God along. We just do not have to have the Red Sea parted to see the hand of God. The healing and protection through difficult times are evidence enough that God will never leave us or forsake us. Mac is doing great. He has had a busy day so he is already asleep. Tori on the other hand is wide awake. Mac had a great time tonight at my Aunt E's house playing. As far as his treatment is going the only thing that needs to be said is Praise the Lord! He is doing wonderful. Continue to pray as we get ready for our trip. Pray for everyones health and traveling safety.

May God Bless You

Monday, July 3, 2006 11:46 PM EST

Day 772
Mac had another wonderful day. He is now officially 5 years old. Every childhood has special memories for both the parents and the child. With Mac we have seen so many wonderful blessings of God. We have been in the valley at the beginning and several times since. We have learned to value each day and make the most out of it. God is growing up a young man with a heart of God and a testomony to match. We received the blood test results from Tori. She has some things (segrates, sorry Anna I am sure that is not the correct way to say it) that are elevated. They want to retest in 2 weeks. They are looking for the possibility of an auto immumine problem. We are knowing that God already knows why she is breaking out at times and rest in his loving Grace. Please continue to lift both Mac and Tori up in your prayers.

May God Bless You

Sunday, July 2, 2006 10:40 PM EST

Day 771
Today has been a pretty normal day. Tori had blood work completed this morning. She came to church with 2 bandaids on her arms. They had trouble witht he first arm and had to use the other one. Mac is still catching bugs left and right.

May God Bless You

Saturday, July 1, 2006 10:33 PM EST

Day 770
Well it had to happen. I finally got around to working on the web page. I hope you enjoy the new pictures. It is amazing what you can do when school is out. Mac has had a wonderful day. He got a water slide today and as the pictures show he had a super time. Today was corn pulling day to we spent most of the day outside. Thanks Ben for playing with Mac all day. I am sure you will sleep well tonight. Tori is running a fever. She had 3 spots on her legs. We are going to take her in the morning for some blood work. Please keep her in your prayers along with Mac. My CT scan came back clear. It is now a fact that there is nothing in my head. I hope that everyone has a Christ filled day tomorrow.

May God Bless You

Friday, June 30, 2006 10:05 PM EST

Day 769

Mac started the day off playing and looks like he will finish playing. We had went out to eat tonight but Tori got sick so we had to come home. She has felt hot at times today. We will see what tomorrow brings. Mac got a Bug Catcher for his birthday and I feel sorry for all the bugs. He is all over the place catching them.

Thursday, June 29, 2006 11:16 PM EST

Day 768

Mac has been excited all day today about his party. We celebrated his birthday today at a sprinker park. He has been talking all day. He tried to take a nap but of course he was not able to go to sleep. Thank you to all that came to the party. We appreciate you taking your time to spend my our family. I know that hundreds would have came and we appreciate everyone that cares so much for us. We are offically now counting down until we go to Walt Disney World.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, June 28, 2006 11:31 PM EST

Day 767

Another good day today. Mac is excited about his birtday party tomorrow. He loves to go to the sprinkler park. He going to go tomorrow morning to pick up his cake and a couple of more items. VBS has been a blast this week. Mac has really had a good time. It will not be long before it will be time to pack for Disney World. Mac seems to ask everyday when we are going.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, June 27, 2006 11:18 PM EST

Day 766

We had a very good appointment today. Mac's LP went smoothly. They have went up on his 6MP because his counts are still high. This is not a terrible thing but it does mean that due to the fact of him getting older and his weight is going up he is able to handle more chemo. The magic number is around 500-1500 and Mac is sitting on a 3,000. The increase in the chemo will bring his numbers down. Please pray that he does not get sick due to the increase in chemo.

May God Bles You

Monday, June 26, 2006 10:39 PM EST

DAy 765

Mac and Tori had a great time at VBS tonight. Mac is really starting to enjoy making new friends. Tori was spending a lot of time playing with a boy tonight. I am going to have a talk with her after this journal:] We go tomorrow for Mac's LP. Please lift him up in your prayers. Please pray that the procdure goes well and that the spinal test are negative. Best wishes to all you you and thank you always for your prayers.

May God Bless You

Sunday, June 25, 2006 9:57 PM EST

Day 764

Thank you Noll family for keeping us on track. Our brains have definitely taken a summer vacation. Somehow we went back 100 days and we definitely don't want to do that. Mac, Tori, and Olivia had a good time at Bible School. All the adults were worn out.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Saturday, June 24, 2006 11:01 PM EST

Day 663

Mac and Tori have been so excited. Ms. Pam gave us an aquarium and they can not wait to get some fish. We got it all cleaned and set up. Thank you, Ms. Pam. Mac is beyond feeling good. He is wild. We think his hemoglobin is in the thirties. He is wound tight. Praise the Lord. They are still working hard on Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house. Tori has been prancing around in her high heels all day. What a priss!!!
May God Bless

Friday, June 23, 2006 10:55 PM EST

Day 661-662
I guess the end of the semister is causing me to have a melt down. I looked at the journal for last night and realized that I had not completed it. I will be glad when
Sunday night is over with and with it all my classes will be done. Everyone is feeling well. We go to Egleston on Tuesday for Mac's LP procedure. This is where they will take a sample of his spinal fluid for testing and give him chemo in the spine. They will sedate him again. Please pray that everything goes according to plan. He is getting a lot older and is asking questions about what and why they are going these things. He still does not fully understand but he is a smart cookie.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, June 21, 2006 11:16 PM EST

Day 661

Today has been a hot day. Mac helped me pressure wash the porch today I think just so he could play in the water. Everyone is feeling well. Mac and Tori have been dancing around the house tonight like the people on TV. Mac's energy levels are way up. He is all over the place with little Tori following behind.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, June 20, 2006 11:32 PM EST

Day 660

We had a super time at the going away party today. Mac was on his best behavior and even Tori got in on the action. We have all the needed paper work now and we can start thinking about packing our bags. MawMaw and PawPaw have had a OK day. A company has started to clean the house and the electricity is being worked on. It will be a slow process to get them back into their home.

Monday, June 19, 2006 11:59 PM EST

Day 659

We started to day off with a late sleep in. Mac was able to dig in the garden for potatoes later this afternoon. He loves to work in the garden. While we were digging we looked up and smoke was coming out of MawMaw and PawPaw's roof. It seems that a fire started in the kitchen. Everyone is OK and the fire department did a wonderful job. There are a very caring bunch of people. The kitchen took a lot of damage and so did the roof. We should be able to tell a lot more tomorrow. Please keep the family in your prayers as they start the repair of the house. Mac goes tomorrow for his going away party from the Make a Wish Foundation. He is already looking forward to seeing Mickey when we go to Disney World.

May God Bless You

Sunday, June 18, 2006 11:59 PM EST

Day 658

Fathers day has been a real blessing. I want to be the best dad possible. A realize an important fact about this statement is that a part of me being a good dad is having a great wife. A think we were all recovering from the long drive yesterday. It was wonderful to be in church this morning. The songs and the message were inspirational to all dads. We were able to go and swim tonight at my brothers. Mac as always had a super time. Tori did put her feet in the pool. This is a start. I was great to see Mac and Tori laughing and playing. One last thought about Fathers Day. I have the best dad in the world. I love you dad!

Saturday, June 17, 2006 11:22 PM EST

Day 656-657

We finally got back home. We were scheduled to come back last night but dad was unable to sleep during the day so we came back this morning. Everyone had a wonderful time and everyone was glad to be back home. Mac and Tori have played with their toys like they have never seen them before. I will post pictures from our trip soon. Dads, tomorrow is your day. I hope that you have a wonderful one. Our families are the most important "company" we will ever work for. Lets always remember that.

May God Bless You

Thursday, June 15, 2006 9:56 PM EST

Day 655

We had a change of plans today. We did not go to the water park today. We dedcided that they really just liked their park a little too much when we found out the price. Mac did not care he spent the day in the ocean floating away. He has got good at finding these little sea shells that he calls "diggers" because they dig back into the sound when the water leave them. He is such a sight. Ms. Tori is still digging away underneath the umbrella. She is is no big danger of gettng a sunburn. Tori and me did feed the birds today. The was smiling the whole time. We will be heading back home late tomorrow night so please pray for traveling grace. It is much easier driving at night. The kids will sleep most of the way. We have had a wonderful week and are looking forward to one more day tomorrow.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, June 14, 2006 6:50 PM EST

Day 653-654

Hello mom. I made it to the journal. It is crazy on vacation. So many things to do. Sorry to everyone again. We are all having a great time. It is hard to get Mac out of the water. We are going to go to a water park tomorrow in Panama City. Mac is looking forward to playing games tonight at Tommy T's. We have found a lot of shells and crabs. Tori is still being the shade bunny and has not got in the ocean. She says the water is too cold. Go figure. Thank you for all of your prayers that are making this trip possible.

May God Bless You

Monday, June 12, 2006 2:56 PM EST

Day 650-652

Hello! Sorry for being behind but I had a little trouble getting on the internet. It appears that the server was down on Sunday. We are having a blast. Mac had chased them poor ghost crabs all over the beach. As usually he is getting in the water enjoying the waves. He told me he was not scared on them waves. It seems at the beach about all you do is eat, sleep, and play. Its wonderful. It is nice to be in a place where the clock really does not mean anything. Mac is doing well getting over the Decadron. We are backing the Respiradole out of his system. Tori is her usually playful self but she does not like to get into the ocean. She sits under the canopy and plays in the sand. She is going to be a pool girl I think. They are calling for a lot of rain soon as the storm passes through Florida. We are hoping that rain is all we get. We lost the canopy yesterday when the winds got rough. Everybody on the beach was scrambling to get inside. I should be able to update daily now that the internet is back up.

May God Bless You

Friday, June 9, 2006 11:12 PM CDT

Day 649

We had a great day at Egleston today. Tori was able to go with Mac and Mac show baby sister what a big boy he is. He did not cry during the access. He will always be my hero. We are pack and ready to go to the beach. Everyone is asleep as I try and finish some last minute school work. I should be able to update daily from the beach. I sure hope so since I have to send in school work over the internet.

May God Bless You

Thursday, June 8, 2006 9:59 PM EST

Day 648

We go tomorrow for our last Vincristine. Mac will take his last dose of Decadron tomorrow morning. Praise the Lord. Another cycle will be complete. We will leave for vacation on Saturday. Please remember to lift Mac's health up as we go on vacation. We will be a long way from Egleston. Pray against fevers and sickenss. Pray that the effects of Decadron will be calmed by the soothing ocean. He is so looking forward to this trip. He deserves a great week.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, June 7, 2006 10:26 PM EST

Day 647

It was a late night and a long day butI finished one of my classes today. That will open up a lot more time to spend with my precious family. Mac has had his moments today but all in all he has been OK. He went to the park today and ran off a lot of energy. Tori was all over the place from what I hear. Things went well in court today. We still have temporary custody of Monica and we will go back to court sometime around November/December. I really cannot tell you more than that because all business that takes place inside a juvenile court is sealed. Just please remember this situation in your prayers. The courts may be ruling againt prayer in places but God still has the high seat in any court.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, June 6, 2006 11:48 PM EST

Day 646

We found out this morning that they had increased Mac's decadron dose. The reuslt has been a totally different child today. His has be emotional at times and upset others. Then a little latter he is OK. We have increased his dose of Resperadol(sp) in an attemt to counter balance the effects. He has complained of his chest hurting. This may be heartburn due to the Decadron. We are goning to call about it tomorrow. Tori had a good visit today with the allergiest. He does not see any reason to think an autoimmune disorder. Praise the Lord. He want us to give Tori Claratin for about 6 months and see if she breaks out while on the medicine. We go back to court tomorrow on Monica and her placement. For those of you that do not now we have temporary custody of this 12 year old. She is in a wonderful home sponsored by Chick-fil-A and we hope this continues.

May God Bless You

Monday, June 5, 2006 10:30 PM EST

Day 745

What day! Mac has had a super day even while he is on the Decadron. Tori is all over the place playing. Tori will go to an alergist tomorrow to see what may be causing her to break out. The house is getting cleaned and the clothes washed so we can begin the first steps of packing for our family beach trip. This trip is needed by all. Having so much to day will do Mac good as he comes off the Decadron. He will take is last dose Friday morning and then the beach will be there for him all week. I can see him and Tori chasing the ghost crabs already.

May God Bless You

Sunday, June 4, 2006 9:52 PM CDT

Day 744

Today has been a day filled with worship. The services were super today. It is amazing how God can work through a song to let you know how much you really need him. That has been the story of Mac's journey. It has been so much like to poem Footprints. It is during those rough times that God carries his children. The important thing to remember is that during the good times we still have no less of a need for God. Mac has had another good day. He gets emotional every once in a while but God has been with us every step of the way. Please continue to pray against the side effects of the Decadron and Vincristine. I was reading Ashlie's journal entry for last night and she is right, I am swamped with school work. It is not the work that is difficult but the time away from my family spent on the computer or in a text book that makes it bad. With the exception of taking one year off I have been in school for the last 5 years. When my Masters is finished I will be finished for a while. I love to learn but the time away from Ashlie, Mac and Tori is a high price to pay. I hope that everyone reading this realizes that you can never buy back your child's childhood. Dad's, take a day off and spend with your wife and children. The joy you receive will be worth a day's pay.

May God Bless You

Saturday, June 3, 2006 9:52 PM EST

Day 743

Today has been great. I know God has heard our prayers. Mac woke up in a great mood. He has actually been wide open all day. He has been a little pale today, but his spirits are high. I took Mac and Tori shopping today. We took Mac's piggy bank to Rhubarb Jones for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I hope to post pictures soon. David has been swamped with school work. That is one reason we got out of the house so he could work in some peace and quiet. We went to the mall and they rode the merry-go-round. We had a great time. Mac was a super big brother. Continue the prayers. Remember Damon Noll, he gets counts done June 6.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Friday, June 2, 2006 10:33 PM EST

Day 742

It was a rainy Relay for Life, but praise the Lord for the rain. Our garden is need of it desperately. Thanks to all who came and supported our family for the relay. I hate that any of our family has to walk the survivor walk, but I am glad they are walking it. It has been special for Mac and Pawpaw (and others over the past two years) get to walk together. We are looking for many other survivor walks together. Dr. Briones increased Mac's methotrexate that he gets on Friday's because of his weight and height. He has gotten his first dose of Decadron tonight, and 13 more to go. Please pray for this cycle as we will be going on vacation right as the cycle ends. The past two times Mac has run a fever afterwards, but we are praying God will spare us this time. Please pray for the Egleston team as they have lost several patients and have gotten 80 new patients over the last few months. Dr. Briones needed a lift, he seemed down today. We love you, Egleston team!!! Mac's counts were good.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Thursday, June 1, 2006 10:25 PM EST

Day 741

We have enjoyed a good day. Mac went shopping with Ashlie. I am sure that was a treat. We go to Egleston tomorrow to start our next cycle. Please lift Mac up in your prayers. Pray that he does not get sick or too moody. We are counting the days down until the trip to the beach. It will be a good place to be after this cycle.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, May 31, 2006 9:37 PM CDT

Day 740

We had a great day. We try to get outside and play before it gets unbearable. Mac checked on his potato plants. He has become quite the farmer. He has to check on the garden every day. Sorry about the journals. I guess our mind has gone on vacation too. We were in the Memorial Day Parade. Mac and Beau showered people with candy. We all had a great time. Thanks for letting us go, Uncle Douglas. Please be in pray for next week. Not only is it Decadron week, but also Tori goes to see the allergist (she goes off all meds on Friday) and we have a court date about Monica. Thanks for your prayers.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Day 739
I bet you think we cannot count or know the days of the week now. Between all of this school work I have got messed up and forget last. It is crazy when you are on the computer for hours and still not finished. We went to a Relay for Life dinner tonight. Mac was wound up and wanted to know when the lady would stop talking and when the desert was coming. We go back to Egleston on Friday to start another cycle of Vincristine and Decadron. Please begin to lift Mac up in your prayers. This will be the last cycle for the summer and we will finish before we go on vacation.

May God Bless You

Day 738

What a day it has been. We had a wonderful services this morning and my brother-in-law preacher a very powerful message tonight. I need to do a better job of sharing my hope in Christ. Mac and Tori both played hard today. We celebrated Gigi's b-day today. I think she was "30":] We are getting ready to ride in a Memorial Day parade tomorrow for my brother who is running for District 27. It ought to be a hoot with Mac, Tori, Bea, Coplan, and the oldest in the bunch Jordan riding in the back of the truck throwing out candy. Jordan is really going to have to help us out.

May God Bless You

Saturday, May 27, 2006 9:45 PM EST

Day 737

This will be short because Tori is trying to help me type. We have had a good day and are looking forward to a super day in God's house tomorrow. Mac and Tori are still feeling well.

May God Bless You

Thursday, May 25, 2006 9:48 PM EST

Day 736

We had a great day. Mac and David worked hard on pressure washing the house. Ms. Sara called from Make a Wish and invited us to come to the office for a going away party. They really go out of their way. Thank you Make a Wish. Mac and Tori had a great time with their cousins tonight. Praise the Lord, Tori has not had another breakout so far.
May God Bless
Ashlie
Mac slept in his bed all night. Yea!!!!

Wednesday, May 24, 2006 10:33 PM EST

Day 734

David's last day was today. The kids and I surprised him at work. They liked visiting Daddy's school. We are ready for summer vacation. We got news today that we are staying at the Polynesian Resort at Disney World. Mac loved the waterfalls when we showed him the place on the internet. Keep praying for us and lots of love.
May God Bless

Tuesday, May 23, 2006 9:24 PM EST

Day 732

For those of you that noticed we jumped about 5 days to get caught up on the correct day. I told you that teacher can teach math but have trouble doing it. Ashlie finished up today at work and I finish tomorrow. Toti is off steroids so hopefully the little mood swings will be going away. We have a relaxing evening out in the yard tonight with Mac and Tori helping me and Ashlie work in the yard. Life is good!

May God Bless You

Monday, May 22, 2006 9:26 PM EST

Day 731

Being over the 2 year mark feels like we are on the downward side of the hill. We still cherish your prayers and know that they are the reason for Mac health. I have not got to see much of them today because of school. Oh how I long to be finished with school for a while. We heard from the Make a Wish Foundation today and it looks like we are getting things set up to go to Disney World the first part of July. I know the kids will have so much fun. The lesson about giving back to the Lord that Ashlie mentioned yesterday was special. He had made $3.25 at his lemonade stand. He would have made more but he said it was too hot to be in the sun. The Bible teaches us to raise our children in the ways of Lord and they will not depart from the path. These little lessons in life that everything we have comes from God are the special moments in a parents life. I want to make sure that Mac understands that the hustle and bustle of life are not the things that matter the most. He is still feeling great and I know that God has a special plan for both him and Tori.

May God Bless You

Sunday, May 21, 2006 9:29 PM CDT

DAY 730

It has been two years, can you believe it? Oh, how my heart breaks to remember that day. But, how my heart rejoices over what God has done. God has answered many prayers and seen us through some rough times. He will carry us through the next few months. Mac has been in remission since day 30!!! We are so thankful for that. Thank you for all your prayers and messages. They encourage us all. Continue to pray for Tori. Thank you God, Egleston, family and friends. We love you all and know God has placed you in our lives. Mac had his first lesson on giving to the Lord. David and I told him he needed to give part of what he made from selling lemonade to God. He said that's fine, but I am not giving my dollar, no way. He was happy to give his quarter. We were both laughing inside.
May God Bless

Saturday, May 20, 2006 9:55 PM EST

Day 725

We all had a good day. Ashlie and the gang had a yard sell and Mac decided to sell lemonade. He was going to charge $3 a cup but finally agreed on $.25 a cup. The crazy thing is it was his idea to set up a lemondade stand. Thats my boy! We are all looking forward to an exciting day at church tomorrow.

May God Bless You

Friday, May 19, 2006 10:04 PM EST

Day 724

The school kids are all gone and we have a couple days of planning and we can join in the fun. It has been a rough year but teaching is the best profession that someone can undertake. A lot of the kids come with a troubled home life and hopefully you can make a little difference in their future. Mac and Tori have both had good days. They have played well and are fighting at times just like borther sister do.

May God Bless You

Thursday, May 18, 2006 9:14 PM EST

Day 723

Tori had a rough night last night. She threw-up about 6 times before she finally settled down late this morning. We are praying for a much better night. She is having another outbreak of the rash. We are still unclear about the cause so please continue to lift her up in your prayers. Mac has felt great today and left the house this morning to roam around between the grandparents houses. Tomorrow is the last day of school. Upon looking at the journal dates it appears that we have made some mistakes in the numbers. What do you expect from a couple of teachers:] May 21st is coming up and that will be two years since we were told that Mac had Leukemia. We have been so blessed throughout this time. Mac has grown into such a fantastic little boy. He is full of questions and a lot of answers. The last thing to say for tonight is COME ON SUMMER!!!

May God Bless You

Wednesday, May 17, 2006 8:39 PM EST

Day 722

Mac had a great graduation from preschool. He did a great job singing. Yes, I cried. Not just because he is going to school, but because he was able to walk by himself across the stage, he is in remission, he has hair, and should I go on. I was so broken, thinking back to where God has brought us from. He has truely blessed and we are so grateful. I know that God is going to take care of Tori, no matter what. We also lost our little poodle today. We had to put her to sleep and Mac was very upset by it. We told him the doctors were taking good care of her, but she could not come home. Some good news is .... Olivia is going to be a big sister. Mac is so excited about the new baby coming. Thanks for all your prayers and love.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Tuesday, May 16, 2006 10:14 PM EST

Day 721

Ashlie has made the final preparations for the big graduation tomorrow. I know that Mac will look the part. It is hard to believe that he has completed a year of preschool. Thank you to all of his teachers that have been so good to him. Tori had a good check up visit today. We are going to see an allergiest to see what they think. We have seen one before but are going to try another one that is local. Everyone has had a good day. Mac went fishing again but did not catch anything. He thinks he is suppose to catch something everytime he goes.

May God Bless You

Monday, May 15, 2006 9:33 PM EST

Day 720

It has been a very busy day. Because of school and errands I have not seen my children since this morning so this will be brief. I understand that they both had a fine day and that they were both feeling well. I have got to run down stairs to get some daddy time before they go to sleep.

May God Bless You

Sunday, May 14, 2006 9:30 PM EST

Day 719

I hope that all the mothers had a super day. Mac and Tori have the best mom in the world. Mac and Tori are still both doing well. Tori's rash appears to be going away even though we still do not know what is causing it. Mac has played hard all day. He loves to play with his cousin Ben and Katie. As we start another week please continue to lift both Mac and Tori up in your prayers. We are and always will be grateful for your prayers because they unleash the power of God.

May God Bless You

Saturday, May 13, 2006 11:08 PM EST

Day 718

Today was a good day. Mac went to a birthday party at ChuckECheese's. He had a great time. Tori went too. She had a good time as well. I only picked her up off the floor from a crying spell two times. (You have to find laughter in things sometimes.) After we got home Mac went fishing with Papa at a neighbor's house (thanks Mike and Diane) and caught a six pound bass. You will get pictures soon. Tori seems to be doing better. Please continue to pray that God will show the doctors what to do or for God to heal her. I am so blessed to have two wonderful children. I am so thankful for God giving me the opportunity to even be a mother. Thank you Jesus. I hope all women have a wonderful day tomorrow.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Friday, May 12, 2006 10:12 PM EST

Day 717

The week is finally over with and we are looking forward to a great weekend. Summer is just around the corner and that will signify that everyday is a weekend. Mac is still doing well. He is still on breathing treamtments for his cough but everything is OK. Tori get a little ill at times and does not want to eat during the day but tonight she did eat a pretty good supper. Continue to lift both of them in your prayers.

May God Bless You

Thursday, May 11, 2006 8:59 PM EST

Day 716

Mac did his usual today visiting different houses throughout the day. That is one benefit of living in the "commune". Tori has had a better day and her rash is starting to go away. We knew it would but we still need to pray that whatever is causing this rash will also go away. She is doing a good job of taking her medicine just like Mac. Continue to lift both of them up in prayer.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, May 10, 2006 10:02 PM EST

Day 715

Another school day has came and gone for Mac and it was a good one. This afternoon we took Tori to the doctor for a check up but also because she was broke out in a rash and had a bad cough. The doctor thinks that what she has may be some type of auto-immune thing. The body reacts by breaking out in a rash. He has started her on a 12 day run of steroids to wipe it out if this is the problem. He is not for sure what is causing the rash but he does not think it is allergies. The one thing that I know for sure is that God knows and we are in prayer about it and would like for you to join in the prayer chain for her. Whatever the situation we stand on the promises of God and know that he will be glorified. It appears that the rash may be going away a little bit so that is a blessing. She is fast asleep soon to be followed by her Bubba, Mac. Pray for Ashlie. A mothers heart runs deep and seeks to know everything will be OK. Not knowing the truth of what is causing the rash can be unnerving. We may never know what caused it. She is the best mother in the world so please pray for Gods peace on her heart.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, May 9, 2006 10:24 PM EST

Day 714

The days keep moving closer to summer vacation. The kids are getting real anxious at school also. Mac is ready to go to the beach. He took up being a teacher today with Tori. It appears that he was using a real phone when he was telling her about dialing 911. The operator called the house back and Mac answered the phone and told Gigi that 911 was on the phone. Wh well, he is trying to take care of Tori.

May God Bless You

Monday, May 8, 2006 9:42 PM EST

Day 713

Mac was a Ninja Turtle today for his costume day. I was told that he was all over the place. He has been feeling really good with the exception of some wheezing. He is back on breathing treatments for this problem. All this hay I think is playing with his allergies. Best wish to all.

may God Bless You

Sunday, May 7, 2006 9:00 PM EST

Day 712

We had very good church services this morning and Mac had his Awana celebration night tonight. He did a super job singing. Last year he would not sing but this year he was singing above everyone. It is a sight to see him around other kids his age. He is so much taller and bigger than the other children, even the ones that are older than him. He is still feeling well and each day is a blessing. Mac's Uncle Jonathan is going in to have some surgery tomorrow on his toe. I told him that we would let the world know. I give him a hard time but he loves Mac so much. I wish everyone a blessed week. Be sure and count your blessings and name them one by one because God has so much he wants to show you.

May God Bless You

Saturday, May 6, 2006 10:18 PM EST

Day 711

Mac started his day off with a b-day party for one of his classmates. I was able to take him and he played on those air jumping things for a solid hour. He looked like he was enjoying every bit of it. Tonight we had an adventure. We all loaded up in the truck and went to CFA to eat and then to Home Depot. We looked like the Clampids coming down the road. To help you understand a little more I have an 1989 Toyota truck. With me and Ashlie and Mac and Tori in their car seats there was not much room the breathe. These moments are the best cherished. WE are looking forward to church tomorrow and another day of play.

May God Bless You

Friday, May 5, 2006 10:33 PM EST

Day 710

Mac has been wired all day. His trip to Egleston went well. His ANC is elevated so we are praying that they will go back down on their own. If they do not they will increase his chemo. This is a situation that we are very familiar with. His body is getting stronger and as a result it tries to get back to normal. Normal would be nice but for the 2.5 year treatment the doctors want to keep his ANC between 500-1500. He had a super time at camping day today at pre-school. They made smores and had their sleeping bags ready to roll. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend.

May God Bless You

Thursday, May 4, 2006 9:11 PM EST

Day 709

What a day. Everyone has been all over the house playing. Mac is excited about his camping day tomorrow at school and we are all excited about the last day of school. Mac goes tomorrow for his check up so please remember him in your prayers.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, May 3, 2006 8:54 PM CDT

Day 708

We have a praise about Jeremys grandmother. She is doing much better and is stable. She is trying to talk and responding to the family. Praise the Lord. Mac had a fantastic day at school today. They had bubbles day and he took his bubble maker. He came hope soaking wet but smiling. I am finally finished with school for about 1.5 weeks so that will give us a lot more family time. This summer we will all be walking in a Relay for Life event. This walk helps raise money for cancer research. In our family alone we have Mac, PawPaw, Granly, and a friend named Hooper that have battled the disease or still undergoing treatment. We use this web site as a means of updating you on Mac's progress and to lift you up by the power that God is showing in Mac life. We would like to ask that if you would like to make a donation to the Relay for Life you can send it to us and we will see that it gets to the organization. I am very leary about asking for a donation but please note that God provides all of our needs and none of this money is for us. God has richly blessed us throughout our treatments and we know that he will continue. We only mention the donation because this is the easiest way to communicate this need. The only thing that we ever ask of our readers is your continuus prayers for Mac but if you would like to donate to this cause please send the money to our address and we will turn it in to the Relay for Life organization. The weekend is on its way and we all love to spend all this time together. Mac is still doing great. Please continue to pray for his appointment on Friday. He is going for a check-up but they will have to access his port and he hates that. Please pray for peace during this procedure for him.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, May 2, 2006 10:08 PM EST

Day 707

everyone has had a great day. Mac and Tori had some beautiful weather to play outside. We received some news that Mac's friend Jeremy received some good news. Some of the cancer appears to have shrunk in his throat. Praise the Lord. On the other note, Jeremy's grandmother had some complications after a surgery and may have had a heart attack. Please remember this family in your prayers. Tomorrow is my last day of school this term and then I can have a much needed week off.

May God Bless You

Monday, May 1, 2006 9:42 PM EST

Day 706

One class down and one more to go this semister. Mac had another b-day party to go to and from what I hear he had a great time. Tori is still feeling well from her fall so it looks like she will jump again. Mac has so much going on at preschool that it is hard to keep up with the fun. Hopefully we will have some good weather tomorrow so both of them can wear themselves out playing.

May God Bless You

Sunday, April 30, 2006 9:25 PM CDT

Day 705

It has been s super day starting out with a very thoughtful message from the preacher. Mac did a great job at church and even little Tori seemed to be able to have some fun in the nursey blowing bubbles. We have had a busy day with Mac having a birthday party and then Aunt Abby having one tonight. I have one more 2 more classes this week and then a week off. I plan on spending all of this extra time having fun with Mac and Tori. School is something that I do enjoy but I sure miss being able to help out at home and playing with the kids. We gave Mac a breathing treatment tonight because Anna heard a little noise. We go back this coming Friday so maybe we can get rid of the issue before we get there.

May God Bless You

Saturday, April 29, 2006 8:10 AM EST

Day 703

This one is coming a little late. Mac and his mom had a fabouls time yesterday at the Muffins With Mom. The kids sang the moms a song and had made some things for them. Next week they will have PJ day at school so Mac had to get some new ones. He is funning about his PJ's. He usually wants them to match. This afternoon we will go and get Monica for a little visit.

May God Bless You

Day 704 10 P.M.

We started the day off getting the house ready for Monica's visit. Along the way Tori fell on the trampoline and hit her nose which resulted in a trip to the ER. They did an x-ray and did not see any broken bone. It was good to see Monica. She looked good and is still enjoying her new home. For those that do not know Monica, she is a 12 year old girl that we have temporary custody of. She is staying in a wonderful group home that is supported by Chick-fil-A. She is doing well in school and making great progress. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day at church tomorrow.

May God Bless You

Thursday, April 27, 2006 10:12 PM EST

Day 702

Tomorrow is Muffins with Mom and I know Mac will have a great time. Dad has had his day and now it is moms turn. We will be getting to see Monica this weekend for a couple of hours. Mac is excited about this visit. Monica is still doing well in school. Friday is finally here tomorrow. The end of the school year always gets hectic. I know that Mac is ready for a break also even though he enjoys going to see his teachers and all his friends.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, April 26, 2006 9:34 PM EST

Day 703

The weather was a little rainy this afternoon but that did not stop Mac from having a good day at school and at home. He did a super job of listening tonight while I was at school . We had to have a wrestling match tonight when I got home from school. He went running to tell mommy that he had won. We go back to Egleston next Friday for a check up.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, April 25, 2006 9:44 PM EST

Day 702

It is always good not to have to go to school so I can spend more time with Mac and Tori. Mac loves going to school but he has a blast when he does not have to go. He is an amazing little boy. Tonight he was telling me about the a system of the body. He pretty much had it right. He had a great time playing across the road tonight with friends. When we were coming home he stuck a leaf in his mouth because that is what farmers do. You never know what is going to come out of his mouth.

May God Bless You

Monday, April 24, 2006 9:41 PM EST

Day 701

Everyone sounds like they are ready for bed so this will be short. Mac had another good day at school. This afternoon he had to check the garden out to make sure everything was growing. He loves to be outside. He drew his picture tonight for his Make a Wish trip. He did a super job but I guess I am probably a little biased.

May God Bless You

Sunday, April 23, 2006 10:55 PM EST

Day 700

We have made it to day 700. Such a number deserves all praise to the Lord. We have had a good day and all of us enjoyed worshiping tongiht. As usual it is late and I am working on school work. Mac has felt good today and all is well.

may God Bless You

Saturday, April 22, 2006 9:47 PM EST

Day 699

Well we got up this morning and found out that the anchor held and the house was still on our lot. The thunderstorm was spectatular. Mac slepts through it all. We have had a good day. Mac helped me take our poodle to the vet. They had a Rescue Hero play area and he stayed busy with that. Of course daddy had to join in the fun. I guess everyone thought we were crazy but oh well. These precious moments will last an eternity. Jonathan and Abby decided to feed us tonight and than we had a litle kick ball came with a beach ball. Mac and Tori were laughing all over the place. Their laughter echoed across the yard like a wonderfully trained band. Laughter soothes the soul and hearing both of them enjoying life is wonderful. I think we have 20 more days of school. Mac will be happy for the summer to arrive also. He wants to know how much longer until we go to the beach and they to Disney World. In the eyes of a child the world is truly a beautiful place. Adults need to see the world this way.

May God Bless You

Friday, April 21, 2006 10:15 PM EST

Day 697/698

The weekend has arrived. Mac is still feeling great and his counts were super today also. I did not post last night because of the storm. Sorry! We should have a good weekend in store and wish the same for all of our readers.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, April 19, 2006 9:33 PM EST

Day 696

The week is coming to an end and we are all thankful for that. I have updated 2 of the pictures so be sure and check them out. We are still all feeling fine. Mac is steady and on course with his treatments. He did not want to go to school this morning which is par for the course but he always has a wonderful time.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, April 18, 2006 9:07 PM EST

Day 695

Everyone had a super day today. Mac went to the library with Tori and Gigi. He loves to go there. This will be a short one tonight because I have a wrestling match with the big boy. He is still feeling well and playing hard. Come on summer.

May God Bless You

Monday, April 17, 2006 10:00 PM EST

Dy 694

It has been a long day with school but the day is finally ending. Everyone is in bed and appear to have had a good night. Ashlie does so much for the family. She has a lot of slack to pick up when I am not here. A great family is a great team and I have the best team in the world. Mac has the day off from preschool tomorrow so he should have a relaxing day playing.

May God Bless You

Sunday, April 16, 2006 10:22 PM EST

Day 693

I hope that everyone had a blessed day. Can you fully imagine the feeling that was felt by the ladies thatwent to the grave and the stone was rolled away and the angel spoke the words that Jesus was alive!. Mac and Tori have had a fun day looking for eggs and playing with the other children at the places we visited. His stomach is bothering him a little and he has showed some similiar signs of C-Dif but we will wait to see what happens tomorrow. It could just have been what he ate today. Please pray for all the kids across the state that are having to take the CRCT. It is ashame that so much pressure is placed on one test. How would you like your job performance to be judged by one event.

May God Bless You

Saturday, April 15, 2006 9:47 PM EST

Day 692

From the looks for the Day numbers it appears that the teachers need to learn how to count. Everything has went well today. The kids loved looking for eggs and they will have more to find tomorrow. Mac gave us a surprise today when he asked us if we knew what Easter was. He told us that it was about Jesus and the cross and that he died because he loved us and for our sins. Out of the mouth of babes come the eternal truth of God. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow celebrating our Savior.

May God Bless You

Friday, April 14, 2006 10:39 PM EST

Day 671

Isn't the weather wonderful? What a blessing!! Mac played the role of a farmer today. He helped Daddy and Papa plant some more in the garden. He also got very brave on his four-wheeler tonight coming down the big hill behind our house. He said, "That was awesome!" Uncle Matt is trying to recover from gall bladder surgery. We hope he feels better soon. David is having an allergic reaction to possibly his antibiotics. We are looking forward to the easter egg hunts over the next two days. We should be putting some new pictures up soon. Jesus Christ is King of Kings!
May God Bless
Ashlie

Thursday, April 13, 2006 10:05 PM EST

Day 670

Friday is almost here and we are all ready. With pretty weather ahead of us I can sense a fantastic weekend. Everyone is still feeling well. We were able to spend time tonght with Big O. She is such a sight to behold. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and enjoy your Easter weekend. If my chance you do not usually go to church, why don't you go this Sunday as experience the true meaning of Easter. The results last all eternity.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, April 12, 2006 10:23 PM EST

Day 689

Today has been a super day spending time with Mac at his Easter party. He had a blast looking for them Easter eggs. It has been nice the last two days to get to spend more time with both Mac and Tori even though I have not felt the best. It seems like the older I get the more allergies I am getting. I had school tonight and we had some interesting talk about religion and schools. It bothers me that people think you can teach the history of the Bible without the faith of the Jewish people. The God that is healing Mac is not an object to worship or a set of rules to follow. He is living! It is sad to see people that think you can combine several different religions into a learning experience about the history of them. The only history that I know and believe in is Christ. I do not speak as one that has heard about the power of God. I have seen it too many times to deny it. That is the most important lesson I will ever teach Mac and Tori. We are all looking forward to this weekend to we can play some more. Life is good.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, April 11, 2006 10:11 PM EST

Day 688

Mac and Tori had a good day. Daddy was feeling under the weather and went to the doctor today. They got to come home earlier than usually. They have been loving this weather. Tomorrow, Daddy will join Mac at his Easter party. This will be interesting. Please pray for Jeremy. He will be getting a treatment from Denver. They were so excited that his red blood count came up on its own. We praise you, Lord!!!! Keep them in your prayers.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Monday, April 10, 2006 9:50 PM EST

Day 687

It is finally the end to a really long day. Mac had a good visit at the dentist today. He had a little trouble with the x-rays so they will have to do them again later. Everyone is ready for bed so hopefully we will all sleep good.

May God Bless You

Sunday, April 9, 2006 11:22 PM EST

Day 682-686

We finally arrived back at home from several days in the mountains. Everyone had a wonderful time with the much needed break. Sometimes it is just good and needed to get away from everything. I wish I could say the same for the school work but the due dates do not change. I am having to wait until 12:01 so I can try and get the classes I need for the summer. I took the compuer with me but with no internet connections and to tell you the truth I really was having a great time with my family and did not want any interruptions. The catch up game I can handle but I can never make up for time lost with my family. This is a very important lesson for all to learn. Mac is still feeling great and enjoying each day. He is ready to go to Disney World. The people that we have met along our jourey have been wonderful. They have taken care of all of us physically and emotionally. The staff at Egleston is the best. We will always be greatful for this trip that has been arranged. We could not afford at this time of our life to make this trip happen but there is a group of caring people that have a heart for children. As soon as I find the camera I will load the pictures from the trip.

May God Bless You

Day 681

We had a good visit with the team at Egleston. Even getting his port done wasn't as bad as it has been. He did a good job. Well, we all met Mrs. Sara today. She was a sweetheart. The verdict is ... Mac wished for Disney World. We are so excited. We filled out all the paper work. He is so excited about flying too. Yes, people from the commune are going on a plane. (The commune is joke at Egleston because we live so close to family.) He did have to be isolated because he was exposed to the chicken pox. That was okay. We sure don't want to get others sick. When he finished all of his medicine today he had a little breakout, but it quickly went away. Dr. Briones and Tera checked him out good. We are not sure what happened, but it hasn't happened again today. We will be gone for a few days and I'm not sure how often we will get to update. We will definitely update again on Sunday. Thanks to those who are visiting our site. Our prayers are with all children who face the scary word- Cancer.
May God Bless

Day 680

Tonight starts the preparation for our visit tomorrow for the LP procedure. From the names and locations of the guest journal we have several new friends following Mac's story. Thank you for your prayers and support. Tomorrow Mac will receive chemo in his spine and they will take out some fluid and test it for Leukemia. His spinal fluid has remained clear since the beginning and the Lord willing it will remain. We know that God has much in store for Mac as he tells his story. We have this procedure done about every 16 weeks. Mac will have to fast so the eating rules go out the window tonight. We try to keep him up later than normal so he can have a late night snack. Mac is still very excited about going to the mountains this week. He talks about it all the time. Tomorrow we will also meet with a lady from the Make a Wish Foundation to talk about Mac's wish. He wants to go to Disney World. At times he says that his wish is to have another puppy. We will have to see what he says tomorrow. I started chemo tonight for my skin cancer. This will last for the next 16 weeks every other night. Compared to what Mac has been through this is just a minor inconvience. Tori is still all over the house and growing like a weed. After the trip to the mountains I will update the pictures so you can see both of them updated.

May God Bless You

Day 679

Another beautiful day has came and gone. WE have had a good time in church today. We took the opportunity to visit some sister churches today for a change. We are counting the days down until we go to the mountains!

May God Bless You

Saturday, April 1, 2006 9:59 PM EST

Day 678

It it hard to believe but it is 10 P.M. an all the kids are asleep. We wore them out today playing. It has been a day made in heaven today. The breeze was like the workings of the Holy Spirit, the sun was like the warmth given by Jesus in our hearts, and the beauty of the creation was a gift of God. We have all enjoyed today and everyone is healthy and feeling great. We go back to Egleston on Tuesday for a LP. Mac will have to fast so please remember him in your prayers. It looks like I will start my topical chemo for my skin cancer on Monday and Anna will take the stitches out tomorrow. It was hard enough for the doctor to talk me into taking an aspirn a day much less have to put this stuff on for 6 weeks. I guess you could say that I am hard headed when it comes to taking medicine. One thing for sure is that after seeing all that Mac has gone through the complaining stops with that fact that I just do not like taking medicine. Mac is my little hero. He has been so strong through to worse of times. His courage and strength are only matched by the other children that have had to endure the same. I hope that everyone enjoys church tomorrow and remember that all good and perfect gifts come from the Father.

May God Bless You

Friday, March 31, 2006 9:26 PM EST

Day 677

Spring break has arrived!!!!!!! Mac got to see Mamma Duck today. Sorry I missed you today. We are looking forward to some good times ahead.

May God Bless You

Thursday, March 30, 2006 8:58 PM EST

Day 676

Tomorrow is Friday and the last work day before spring break. We have a lot planned, including a trip to the mountains for several days. Mac is looking forward to going. His days are still great with the exception of a cough that kept him and us up last night. We have started his breathing treatments again and cough medicine. I spoke with the nurse about my case and even though I persisted the do not want to cut it out. They say that the cancer is paper thin and that the topical chemo treatment is the best choice. The treament will last for 6 weeks every other day. I would rather just cut the spot off but oh well. Growing up the dentist told me that he was going to have to pull about 6 baby teeth if they did not fall out but he made the mistake of giving my parents the chart that had the teeth numbers on it. I got the encyclopedia, found the teeth, and worked all of them out. Everyone would have a fit if I worked on this spot so I guess I will listen to the doctor. I tell you that story to give you some insight on Mac personality and his strong will. He gets it honestly. Continue to pray for my family.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, March 29, 2006 9:33 PM EST

Day 675

Mac has a wonderful time at church tonight. He had to ask a girl to dance while they were playing the music. I think it may be time to have a talk:] Everything has went well for him today. He did a good job at preschool and is still feeling well with no noticed side affects from the shots. I received news today that a biopsy that was completed last week on a spot on my chest is basal cell carcinoma. This will be the second case that I have had. The last one was removed from the side of my head. The doctor wants to treat this one with a topical chemo. This is definitely a case of reaping what you have sown. I spent so much time in the tanning beds and in the sun in search of that perfect tan. Oh well. We will treat this and keep on going. Continue to remember Mac and that God will continue to heal him and use him in a mighty way as he grows up.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, March 28, 2006 9:29 PM EST

Day 674

What a day! Mac went to register for kindergarten and had to take a little test. He scored a perfect 100 on it. We were so proud of him. The fact that he even was taking a little test is another story. He was shy at first but as the time progressed he was looking at books while sitting on a bean bag. It was a wonderful day.

May God Bless You

Monday, March 27, 2006 9:57 PM EST

Day 673

Another day has come and gone and the blessings of the Lord have continued to shine upon my family. Mac has not had any complications from the VZIG shot he was given. He has not shown any signs of breaking out. It usually takes 7 days from the day of exposure to break out. Tomorrow is a big day! Mac goes to register for kindergarten. I am not sure I am ready for it. For the last 673 days we have sheltered him from the problems of this world. We have watched his counts to determine where he can go. We watch his bowel movements when he is on the Vincristine to decide what he can have to eat. He loves bannanas but they do not mix with Vincristine. We have watched so many things and because of these action we have grown closer as a family. This is a mile stone in his life because all he has been through will be remembered for the GREAT things that God has done. For those of you that have children that are healthy do you celebrate the small events in their life? You should. Every day a child is growing into a future man or woman and they will not remember the things that you bought for them, or they cars they had to ride in. The things that they will most remember is the time spent with them and the celebrations they you all shared together. The cost may be cheap but the result will never be able to have a price placed upon it.

May God Bless You

Sunday, March 26, 2006 9:30 PM EST

Day 672

We started the day off with a trip to Egleston so Mac could get a shot to help fight off chicken pox. I think it was called VZIG. I will check on that and let you know tomorrow. He did a great job due to the wonderful care of the 2 nurses in the ER. They were very good with him and made the experience bearable. It is times like these that you are brought back to reality and the purpose in all these treatments. We had to tell him that we were going to Egleston to get a shot. He cried and cried. All children may have to go through the chicken pox but most children will not have to go and get a shot because of it. That part of life is just not fair. The great thing is that there is a God that is watching over Mac and taking care of him.

May God Bless You

Saturday, March 25, 2006 10:31 PM EST

Day 671

Today was a lazy day spent around the house. The wind was blowing hard so there was not much outside playing. Mac was able to ride his battery powered 4-wheeler a little. We did find out some news tonight. Mac has been exposed to chicken pox. I appears that one of his cousin started breaking out today. This child's mother is real upset about bringing her son around Mac. The thing is this, Mac is a little boy full of life. There are times when we keep him "bottled up" because of is counts but we want him to live life to the fullest. We know that no one would expose Mac on purpose. These things just happen and then God takes care of Mac. We will have to go to Egleston tomorrow to receive an antibotic shot to make sure that his body is able to fight the chicken pox. Mac has had his immunization against chicken pox so we will just wait and see what happens. Please lift him up in your prayers that he would not have an outbreak.

May God Bless You

Friday, March 24, 2006 9:20 PM EST

Day 669/670

Sorry about not updating last night but the web site would not let me log on. Mac has had 2 very good days. We had his CBC checked today and it appears that his counts are dropping like we needed them to. They should be back into the range we need. We had a cookout tonight at PawPaw's and the kids played their little hearts out. PawPaw is doing better and was able to enjoy the evening. Mamma Duck showed up to visit. It is always a treat to have you here in the commune. For those of you that are new to the web site, Mamma Duck was our nurse that first weekend. She cared for us as much as she did for Mac. She has become a dear friend along with several others at the hospital. We thank God for all of them. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, March 22, 2006 10:18 PM EST

Day 668

Today was much better wise. Mac appears to have a pattern of waking up on school days saying that his stomach hurts. We play that game and then he goes to school feeling much better. His energy level is still high and he is having a great time each day. PawPaw had a pretty good day. He ate more today than he did yesterday so that it always a plus. Please continue to remember Jeremy and his family.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, March 21, 2006 10:58 PM EST

Day 667

The rains have left and hopefully we will see the sun shine soon. PawPaw is feeling OK but not the best in the world. Mac is still all over the place with Tori following close behind. He is going to be in trouble when she can catch up with him.

May God Bless You

Monday, March 20, 2006 9:56 PM EST

Day 665

The day started off cold and ended colder. PawPaw is back home and trying to continue the process of getting better. WE are hoping that being at home helps. Mac is still feeling well. Tori took a little tumble out of the tub tonight but it does not appear that she hurt anything. I guess this is just one of many.

May God Bless You

Sunday, March 19, 2006 10:00 PM EST

Day 664

It has been a good Sunday. Mac is still feeling GREAT. He was able to see PawPaw tonight. I think both of them enjoyed the visit. Hopefully PawPaw may come home soon. They may not have to do surgery on his gallbladder. Please continue to lift him up in your prayers.

May god Bless You

Saturday, March 18, 2006 9:32 PM EST

Day 663

We sure were blessed with a beautiful day. The weather was great. Tori's birthday party was today and she had a wonderful Pooh party. Thanks to everyone who came to wish her a Happy Birthday. Day 662

Hey we have good news. Pawpaw has been moved out of ICU and into a room. He is still not feeling well though. Mac had a great time at pre-school tonight. Thanks to Grandmother and Granley for bidding on Mac's class project. We got lots of stuff to take to the beach. Thanks to everyone who came to eat and support Mac and his preschool. Jeremy will go for more radiation next week. Please remember him and his family. They are going to the race Sunday. I hope they have lots of fun. We are meeting with Make a Wish in April.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Thursday, March 16, 2006 9:50 PM EST

Day 661

It has been another long day. Sorry I have not updated on PawPaw. He was moved to ICU late last night. He has a lot of infections in his body and they are trying to determine the cause of the infection. They may move him out of ICU tomorrow because they seem to be doing a better job with his blood pressure. He will probably be at North East Georgia Med Center for several days. Mac is feeling fine and enjoying each day. Continue to lift them both up in your prayers along with our friend Jeremy. He will have a very important scan completed tomorrow. WE are looking to Christ for the results.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, March 15, 2006 9:47 PM EST

Day 660

It has been a long day with work and school. Also, PawPaw had to be taken to the hospital because he was not responding or able to stay awake this morning. He is doing better but his blood pressure is still very low. We are not sure of the cause yet. I will let you know when we find something out. Mac had a great day with bike day. He is still feeling well and eating well. Continue to pray that his counts will get into the correct range and that God will continue to heal him.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, March 14, 2006 10:38 PM EST

Day 659

Mac and Tori both stayed outside today a pretty good bit. Mac had fun playing a game with Gigi where you try to pop a balloon. Tori seemed to be played out from play house she got yesterday. All in all it has been a good day. Tomorrow, Mac get to take his bike to school. That ought to be an interesting day.

May God Bless You

Monday, March 13, 2006 9:42 PM EST

Day 658

Today was Tori's birthday and she had a good one. Thank you to everyone in the family that purchased the playhouse. She loved it. They are calling for a storm tonight so I guess she will have to mop the floor tomorrow in the play house. Mac had a good day. The morning started off a little slow when he has to go to school but it gets better as the day goes on. Please remember our friend Jeremy. He will have another scan on Friday. I am praying that God will heal him. The medicine does not seem to be getting the results which lays it at the feet of our God. Please pray for his healing and that the scans will surprise everone on Friday so that the Lord may be glorified for answered prayer.

May God Bless You

Sunday, March 12, 2006 8:44 PM EST

Day 657

What a day it has been. If pretty weather makes us feel this good on Earth just think about the glorous time we will have in heaven living in the presence of God's Son! Mac and Tori had another great day playing. We may never get him inside this summer. Mac's treatment is still going well. He is still eating good and as mentioned playing hard.

May God Bless You

Saturday, March 11, 2006 8:48 PM EST

Day 656

Mac has played all day long!!!!! He has been in such a good mood. I am longing for each day to be pretty where him and Tori can stay outside where kids belong. He bought a pet fish for Papa's pond. He has chased a mole around the yard (only in the commune Mama Duck), went to a birthday party and finally gave out on the way home. Tomorrow is suppose to be pretty I am sure of more good times. It took a little while but be sure to check out the new pictures.

May God Bless You

Friday, March 10, 2006 8:39 PM EST

Day 655

God has blessed. Mac's counts were actually a little higher than what Dr. Briones would like for them to be. His ANC was 2000. They like to keep it between 500 and 1500. When he left the hospital, his ANC was 590. So they are definitely up. We go back in April for counts and a LP (chemo in his spine). If they are still up then Dr. B will up his dose of chemo. Please pray they don't have to do that. Jeremy had his last radiation today. He was getting blood and plateletes. They were doing good. We heard from Make A Wish and will meet with them hopefully at our next Egleston appointment. Please pray for Mac's counts and Jeremy's family.
May God Bless
Ashlie

He did a super job on his bike today! Dad is always scared to death that he willl fall but I guess that is my job.

May God Bless You

Monday, March 6, 2006 8:31 PM EST

Day 651

Mac had a good day at school today. He loved dressing up like a cowboy. This afternoon the 4 of us had a blast playing basketball. Mac was full of energy and wanted to ride his bike like daddy so we put on the helmets and rode a little bit. He is getting much better! We go back this Friday for a checkup.

May God Bless You

Day 649

Mac and Tori had a great day. Someone forgot to tell Tori that we could sleep late. She got everyone up at 7:00. Jonathan and Abby took Mac, Tori, and Olivia to Royston to see his mother's baby chicks. They also took them to McDonald's to eat and play on the playground. Thanks you guys, they had a great time. I went to see some students from school play basketball. Mac and Tori went with me. Then we went to see Mac's previous babysitter, Ms. Sandra and her family. It was great to see them. Mac has started coughing and coughed all night. We will start treatments again. Pawpaw has had a bad day with stomach pain. Pray for them and Jeremy's family. Pray for Damon Noll he had an LP today.

Day 648

The weekend finally arrived and dad came home with no books or work so it will be a great one. Mac is still feeliing well and is playing hard. He is getting a little mouthy. I guess it comes with the age and everything that he has been through. With the pretty but cool weather this weekend we should be able to get some good playine in the yard accomplished. Mac is back on all of his medicine again so keep him in your prayers.

May God Bless You

Thursday, March 2, 2006 8:56 PM EST

Day 647

It has been a good day! Mac is feeling well and was able to go over to my parents house tonight to play with his cousins. They love to have a great time. It has been nice to spend the time with Ashlie, Mac, and Tori without having to worry about school work. Playing is what dads do best. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, March 1, 2006 8:45 PM CST

Day 646

Mac went back to school and had a great day. We also got to go back to church. We always miss church when we can't go as a family. God surely blessed us with a beautiful day. Mac, Tori, and I played ball this afternoon. O, Olivia, also came over for a little while to play on the swingset. It was so much fun. Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for the Gaddis family.

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 9:47 PM EST

Day 645

We received good news today. Life is back to normal. If you can call Mac's life normal. I mean normal for a Leukemia kid. He will be back to school tomorrow. We do praise God for Mac's rise in counts and decrease in liver enzymes. He is back on chemo, beginning tonight. I have a special prayer request. I know all of you are such prayer warriors. The Gaddis family desperately needs your prayers. They will meet Thursday to see if radiation will help with Jeremy's cancer. They are running out of options and their hope is becoming slim. Pray for healing, comfort, and peace through this very difficult time. My heart has ached for this family. We love you, Gaddis family.
May God Bless

Monday, February 27, 2006 10:52 PM EST

Day 644

Tomorrow is the last day of this class for me so hopefully the work has been completed in the right manner. It will be good to be able to play with Mac and Tori without having to worry about getting the paper wrote. Mac is feeling well and hopefully the CBC will show the same tomorrow. We still feel like his hemoglobin is down but we pray that it is on the rise. Pray for Ashlie as she takes Mac tomorrow because they have shut down one lane on 85 South and this could lead to a huge traffic problem.

May God Bless You

Sunday, February 26, 2006 9:32 PM EST

Day 643

Another day hitting the books and sneaking in time to play with the kids. Mac is starting to eat more due to the fact that he is not on his chemo. We are still scheduled for a visit on Tuesday to see if we can start the chemo again. Other than that he is having good days and playing hard. He does appear to be short of breath at times be this is probably due to his hemoglobin being low which would result in his body not getting at much oxygen from the blood. This should increase each day. We will find out on Tuesday. Best wishes to all!

May God Bless You

Saturday, February 25, 2006 11:40 PM EST

Day 642

It has been a long day because of school work but I wanted to let you know that Mac is still doing well and ask that you continue to lift him up in your prayers. Each day continues to be a blessing. It is difficult to get school work completed when his smiling face is asking for me to play with him. These are the times that make life worth living.

May God Bless You

Friday, February 24, 2006 11:07 PM EST

Day 641

Today has been a good day for Mac with the exception that he did not go to school. He appears to be through the final stages of the Decadron with only a few ill moments every once in a while and some of these are probable the strong will that he has. We are praying that his counts will go back up soon so he can start his chemo again. We will know on Tuesday how he is doing.

May God Bless You

Thursday, February 23, 2006 10:45 PM EST

Day 640

Mac had a good day today and it feeling well. We know that his counts are still down so he hung close to the house today. Each day we pray that his counts will increase and that he will stay healthy. PawPaw came home today. He seems to be feeling fine. Continue to keep him in your prayers.

May God Bless You

Love,
Mac

Praise the Lord!! We are all home. It feels like a burden has been lifted, when we all come back together. Thanks for all the prayers. Mac's counts were not where they want them, but he was doing well so they sent us home. He will have to go back on Tuesday. Please pray for his liver enzymes. They were still up. Pawpaw may get to come home tomorrow.

Tuesday, February 21, 2006 10:55 PM EST

Day 638

Well, another day has come and gone and my son is not home. These are trying times on the family and close friends. Mac is enjoying himself and was able to go to the playroom today. His ANC has dropped to a 180 which is very low. We have seen this pattern before but it always nice when the counts start to climb. Today we found out that his liver enzymes are high. This could be caused by several factors such as a bad check, chemo, of a virus. They will take another check tonight. Please pray that the levels are normal and that his ANC is starting to climb. The treatment of Leukemia has several different phases and it is easy for people to think that once the “heavy treatment” is over with that life goes back to normal. This is correct in some senses but not 100 percent. Mac’s body still has trouble fighting infections and we always have to keep this fact in the back of our mind. Mac will miss school tomorrow and I know that he would want his class to know that he enjoys his friends and teachers and will miss them. God has blessed me with the best family in the world. Please continue to pray for his health and his treatments. To the young lady named Tana that signed the guest book, thank you. Nurses are God’s special people because the work they do with children and adults is incredible. The love and compassion speaks of the love that Christ had and has for us when he bore our sins on the cross. Continue in your studies and realize that God grants and gives you the love and skills that will be needed to do your job.

May God Bless You

Monday, February 20, 2006 9:44 PM EST

Day 637

Mac had a visit to our home away from home, Egleston. He ran a low grade temperature for several hours this morning. We were hoping for good counts then we would get antibiotics and come home, but that did not pan out. Mac has very low counts so it is a stay. He has been begging to spend the night at the doctor's office so unfortunately he is getting his wish. Mac and Papa are having a spend the night party at Egleston tonight. I feel sorry for the nurses! Ha! As I was leaving Mac said he wanted to mash the "red" nurse button and tell the nurses a joke. He is a joke. He is 100% mess and we all love him more. That's his joke. He says I love you more infinite. It is very hard on our whole family when we have hospital stays and this time with Pawpaw at another hospital it makes even more difficult. Thanks to everyone who is helping us with the journey of Leukemia.

Sunday, February 19, 2006 11:05 PM EST

Day 636

It has been a great day in the Lord. Mac has felt good today but did mention that his head was hurting him a little. He is excited that he has the day off from school tomorrow. I am sure he will be a big help with Tori and O. Please pray for PawPaw. He went into the hospital Friday because he had several blood clots in his lungs and now they have found one in his leg. Pray for a speeday recovery and a quick trip back to the commune.

May God Bless You

Saturday, February 18, 2006 8:46 PM EST

Day 634/635

Last night ended up being a late night. We had a super time at the circus. Mac, Tori and O did great for such a long show. It was a pleasure to watch their faces as the different event happened. Mac is feeling very well. He has played all day today! I cannot wait for the weather to get warmer so we can play outside. We are trying to back Mac off his Respiradole. He still has his moments but this has for sure been the best cycle we have completed. Thanks again for your prayers! Keep them up!

May God Bless You

Thursday, February 16, 2006 9:57 PM EST

Day 633

Mac had had another pretty good day but tonight he had a headache. The Decadron may be the cause of it may be making the situation worse than it is. We still have several days before it is out of his system so continue to pray for him. We go tomorrow to the circus so pray that everyone is feeling well.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, February 15, 2006 10:14 PM EST

Day 632

Mac was not feeling well this morning. He was complaining of his stomach and legs hurting. As a result he did not go to school. As the day progressed he got to feeling better and was able to go to church tonight. I think yesterday wore him out. His constipation has cleared and he is doing pretty good. He still is having fits from time to time but each day we are praying for the steroid to get out of his system so he can be that happy child.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, February 14, 2006 10:43 PM EST

Day 631

Everything went well today for both Tori and Mac. Mac's counts were good and he received his last dose of Vincristine and took his last dose of Decadron this morning. It will take about 7 days for it to get out of his system. Due to the fact that he has taken a Vincristine without being on the decadron his counts may start to drop. Please pray that they do not drop too low and that he stays healthy. Tori gave some blood today to see if they can determine what type of allergies she may have. We will know the results in about 5 days. Thank you God that he has been answering your prayers. This cycle has been the best that Mac has had. Please do not stop praying because it is not over with yet. Each day over the next week of two will have its challenges.

May God Bless You

Day 630

One more dose of Decadron to go. Mac has had a good day. He has started to complain of his stomach hurting. He is also trying to get constipated. We have started the Myrolax to help with this problem. I think we have watch it well and have caught it in time. Please pray that the visit goes well tomorrow and that the constipation will end. Mac will have a dose of Vincristine tomorrow. This will be his last dose of that for about another 16 weeks. Praise the Lord.

May God Bless You

Day 628/629

Last night got crazy and we did not get the journal completed. Sorry! Mac has been having some good days. At times you can see the Decadron Beast raise his ugly head but it is overwith in a little bit thanks be to God. Our friends at church got to see a touch of it tonight. Once he gets something on his mind he does not understand anything but yes. Continue to lift him up because your prayers are the reason for this treatmeant cycle going so well. I believe is was Paul that told us to pray without ceasing. Think about Mac and pray for him throughout the day. The only way to see God's hand at work is to pray for his moving. A lot of times we say that God does not seem to do anything but we fail to ask, seek, and knock for us mercies to fall out of Heaven like the pure white snow that we have seen. I caught my self getting really excited about the snow flurries and then thinking that same excitment should be in my life all the time because of the wonderful love of my Father in Heaven. Mac has a party tomorrow at school so I know he will have a super day with the Lord willing and the strength of your prayers.

May God Bless You

Friday, February 10, 2006 11:08 PM EST

Day 627

School went well today but you can start to see the mood changes in Mac. His temper is getting a little short, expecially with Tori. We did have a new little friend show up on our doorstep. A little dog showed up at Gigi's house and followed us home. Mac has been playing with him most of the night. If anyone knows who the dog might belong to please let us know. The familiar sound of let it snow, let is snow is in the air.

May God Bless You

Thursday, February 9, 2006 8:09 PM EST

Day 626

Mac had a good day. His moods have been very good. He got very tired and is ready to go to bed which is nice but not normal. Usually he doesn't want to go to bed. He will be going to school tomorrow. Please pray he continues to do well.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Wednesday, February 8, 2006 10:09 PM EST

Day 625

Mac did well today at school. He has had a couple of emotional moments but nothing too far off course. Since the decadron is getting more and more into his system we have increased his Respiradol(sp) up to a full tab at night. This will probably make him a little groggy in the morning but it will ease his morning until he gets going.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, February 7, 2006 10:03 PM EST

Day 624

It has been a long but good day for everyone. Mac had a great visit and is now on his cycle. We gave him the first dose of decadron tonight. He has 13 more to go. Each day I expect to see the blessed hand of God on his life and this treatment. He is faithful to hear the prayers of his people. Life has it moments that are hard to explain. A fathers love for his children can not be measured. If I can love this much how much more does my Father in heaven love us. Through Mac's treatment we have seen the very hand of God. The disciples asked Jesus to see God. Jesus replied that if they see him then they have seen the Father. May my son, daughter, and wife see Jesus in me so they can see the Father. (Sorry for the rambling) God has just really let me know what I have and that all of it is by his love for me. Mac is such a trooper. He is getting to the age where he understands more about what is going on. He is a smart little boy. I guess he gets that from his mother. As we go down this journey Mac is strengthened by your prayers. Please never stop praying for him.

May God Bless You

Monday, February 6, 2006 10:57 PM EST

Day 623

Mac has a good day at school today. He was really excited about the little bit of snow. I hope that we can have a good snow so he can make a snowman. He goes tomorrow to start the next steroid.chemo cycle. I know that you have been lifting him up and I thank you for this. Please pray with out ceasing over the next several months for his treatment. Pray that the side effects will be minimum and that he will have good days. Tori is still growing quickly. It is amazing how fast they grow up!

May God Bless You

Sunday, February 5, 2006 10:52 PM EST

Day 622

The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful day. Mac started to day off slow due to some medicine we gave hime to get ready for the steroid cycle cut as the day progressed he was back to his old self. Please continue to lift him up as the cycle starts on Tuesday.

May God Bless You

Saturday, February 4, 2006 11:16 PM EST

Day 621

It is good to be home. The men's conference was great but there is not place like the home with your family in it. Everyone is doing well. Thank you to all that participated in the benefit singing for Mac's friend Jeemy. Continue to pray for this family. In life we try to figure out answers to situations that we do not understand but the truth of the matter is that God knows his children and has a plan. Please continue to pray for the hand of mercy and healing upon Jeremy.

May God Bless You

Friday, February 3, 2006 9:25 PM EST

Day 620

Mac's breathing seems to be better while doing the breathing treatments. He will definitely continue those until Tuesday. Mac has had a good day. We went to eat at Red Lobster, his favorite place to eat. (Mine too!!!) We are missing someone tonight, Daddy. He has gone to a men's conference. We hope he has a great time and can't wait to see him tomorrow. PLEASE do not forget the benefit singing for Jeremy Gaddis. It is at Oak Grove. Supper at 4:30 and singing at 6:30. Please pray for a co-worker who had a baby and the baby is at Egleston. He has had several complications. Another co-worker will be having a baby Tuesday and she has been in the hospital for several, several weeks. She reads the journal everyday. We are thinking of you Beth, Ernie, and soon to be Colten.
May God Bless

Thursday, February 2, 2006 10:39 PM EST

Day 619

Mac has had a good day. We gave him a breathing treatment tonight and his lungs appear to be much better. Thank you for your prayers. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, February 1, 2006 10:59 PM EST

Day 618

Come on weekend! Mac said this morning that he did not feel too good. Later tonight, his Aunt Anna listened to his to his lungs and she hears something. She says it is a little heavier than it was before. We are going to call tomorrow to see if the lung doctor can see him also. He is not complain but it is for sure something that needs to be looked at. Please remember the upcoming cycle that starts on Tuesday. This will be a two week cycle of Decadron(steroid) and Vincristine(heavy chemo). Pray that his mood will stay calm, his appetite will stay undercontol and that he will not be sick. The last time he started to loose his hair so we are really praying that he will be spared this side effect this time also. Thank you for all of your prayers and concern for my family.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, January 31, 2006 9:54 PM EST

Day 617

Another long school has finished and I could not wait to get home to see my family. i think everyone had a wonderful night and now the game of getting them to sleep has started. This is always an interesting game. Every night is different. Mac is still eating like a horse. If he continues this when he is on the decadron someone will have so stay in the kitchen.

May God Bless You

Monday, January 30, 2006 8:49 PM EST

Day 616

Mac had a good day at school today. Since coming home this afternoon he has been playing hard. He want to ride the new exercise bike I bought. He can't reach the pedals to he wants me to do the work while he sits. That is the way to exercise.

May God Bless You

Sunday, January 29, 2006 9:43 PM EST

I hope you all are getting the website up okay. It is having some difficulties. Mac had a great day at church. He was a little slow this morning after playing so hard yesterday. He made a good come back. Just to remind everyone there will be a benefit singing Saturday for Jeremy at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Supper is at 4:30 and the singing begins at 6:30. Please come and support this family. They are going through some serious struggles with treatment. Jeremy was such a good buddy to Mac when we were in the same times.
Lots of Love
May God Bless
Ashlie

Saturday, January 28, 2006 10:55 PM EST

Day 614

It has been a long day. The gang went to the mountains with friends and from what I hear had a fun filled day. Dad was left at home to try and get caught up on school work. I do my best to make sure this does not have to happen to often. When me and Mac had our dinner together Mac had made a little fill in the blank question thing about his dad. I was 2 foot tall and weighed 60 pounds. The most important information on it was that the thing that dad loved to do was wrestle and play with him. I over heard on dad say that his son put that dad likes to work. I hope that Mac always realizes that he, Tori, and Ashlie are the most important people in my life. He had a late nap today so we may be in for a late night considering it is almost 11PM and he is still up. Best wishes to all. Worship the Savior tomorrow with all your heart.

May God Bless You

Friday, January 27, 2006 11:49 PM EST

Day 613

Mac has had a fun filled day. After school he spent the afternoon with my parents and avoided the dreaded nap. He has a way of staying out of bed sometimes. He got a new bunk bed tonight and has spent much of the night on it playing. We are trying real hard to get him in his bed at nights. This is a mixed blessing. We have both come real comfortable with him in bed between us where we know what he is doing but at the same time our little boy is growing up. He has been through so much but God is raising up a baby to become a boy to one day become a map after his own heart. May we have the wisdom to show Mac and Tori Christ in our own lives.

May God Bless You

Thursday, January 26, 2006 10:10 PM EST

Day 612

The day started off good and finished fantastic. Me and Mac had a wonderful time at the Father/child supper. Thank you to the folks at First Baptist for putting together this evening for the kids. A price cannot be put on memories like these. Mac is a big mamma's boy so when we get to do something special like this it makes the event even more special. God is good to such an underserving father. Mac had made a placemat for me with a poem about a son following in his father's footprint. The son is telling the dad to slow down because he is right behind him walking in his steps. That is so much like what our Father in heaven wants to hear. He wants us to follow in his footsteps and I do not think he minds when he needs to slow down a little while we keep up. If I keep my feet in the footprints of my Father in heaven, I know that Mac will have the right path to follow.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, January 25, 2006 9:56 PM EST

Day 611

Mac had a super day at school. He is still eating like a horse so we are not too sure about his counts because we have not heard from Egleston. We will be going on a Decadron/Vincristine cycle soon so please begin to life Mac up in prayer in preparation of this cycle. Our God will supply all of our needs and he does it through the prayers of our friends. Thank you to the wonderful friends that keep up with us through signing the guest book and for those that may not sign but we know of your prayers for Mac. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing and to lift up the brothers and sisters in Christ. Mac’s life is a testament to the prayers of Gods people and the grace of God. I hope that everyone will have a super day tomorrow. Continue to lift up Mac’s friend Jeremy as he goes through his treatment. Also, please lift up Mac’s great-grandfather,PawPaw, as he looks at each of his options in his own battle against cancer.

May God Bless You

Tuesday, January 24, 2006 10:08 PM CST

Day 610

Another day has came and gone and the blessings of the Lord are still all around. Mac is feeling great and Tori's rash has started to go away. We will still have to see the doctor abot the cause but for now she is feeling and looking better. We received a letter from Monica today. She had a good Christmas and is still enjoying her new home. Her safety and new home is definetly answered pray and a blessing from God.

May God Bless You

Monday, January 23, 2006 10:24 PM EST

Day 609

We started the day off with Tori still being broke out. We took her to the doctor this afternoon and they have referred her to an allergy person at Egleston. We sure do know our way around that place. Mac has had a good day. Please continue to pray for his friend Jeremy. He is still fighting his battle and really needs your prayers.

Sunday, January 22, 2006 10:38 PM EST

Day 608

We have had a wonderful time at church today. Tonight we had a a preacher come and bring a wonderful message and then had a time of fellowship. Mac and Tori played hard and eat a lot. Tomorrow we will probably have Mac's counts checked to see if they are coming back down into range.

May God Bless You

Saturday, January 21, 2006 10:02 PM EST

Day 607

The day was spent inside today because of the weather but we were still able to have fun. We had supper with some friends tonight. Mac and Tori both played well. It was a pleasant evening that we will have to try again soon. Sing your praises to the Lord tomorrow because he is GOOD>

May God Bless You

Friday, January 20, 2006 9:56 PM EST

Day 606

Another week is finally finished. We are such funny creatures. We work all week for the weekend to rest but at the same time we will play hard all weekend and end up getting more rest during the week. Go figure. Mac and Tori are doing super! We will have Mac's counts measured on Monday or Tuesday (locally) to see where he stands. This is a rountine check. I hope that everyone enjoys their weekend and stay busy but not so busy that you forsake the Lords House on Sunday. Worship the Father for he alone is worthy!

May God Bless You

Thursday, January 19, 2006 10:08 PM EST

Day 605

The weekend is almost here and we are all glad for that. Things have been pretty normal today with no major problems to report. Thank you for all of your prayers.

May God Bless You

Wednesday, January 18, 2006 8:26 PM EST

Day 604

Everyone has had a good day. Mac did not have any problems at school today and Tori did great at Gigi’s house. We received a letter today that might let us go to a hockey game soon. It is part of the Leukemia Society. We are going to try and work the date out. I am sure that Mac will have a super time. Best wishes to all. It was great to hear from you Mamma Duck. We love you!

May God Bless You

Tuesday, January 17, 2006 10:06 PM EST

Day 603

The weather has not been great but everyone has had a wonderful day. Mac was happy so see me when I got home from school. That is always a wonderful feeling. He will go back to school tomorrow since his foot is still holding steady. We are still watching it to make sure it does not get worse.

May God Bless You

Monday, January 16, 2006 9:37 PM EST

Day 602

High HO, High HO off to work we go. It sure is great to be able to spend time with your family. We found out today that the Make a Wish Foundation has approved Mac for a wish. He has wanted to go to Disney World so it looks like we will get to go. My many thanks to this organization for making this possible. I hope that everyone has a wonderful work week. Remember that behind every problem is the solution or the edurance to see the problem through and that is Jesus Christ!

May God Bless You

Sunday, January 15, 2006 10:57 PM EST

Day 601

We have had a super day at church. Mac helped out with the babies tonight in the nursery. He is still favoring his foot a little bit so we are deciding if we need to have another x-ray done on his foot. We are all looking forward to the day off tomorrow. It should be a fun filled day.

May God Bless You

Saturday, January 14, 2006 9:55 PM EST

Day 600

The weather was horrible today so we had to stay inside. The walls can really close in on children but they did a good job. Later in the afternoon we discovered that the trampoline had blown into our neighbors yard all the way across the road. (Sorry!) We went out to eat tonight. Mac got sick because of the smells in the restraunt and Tori was a pistol. We went shopping and the kids were super! Tori got tired in the last store but is was definetly on of the best shopping trips were have had in a long time. I hope that everyone has a wonderful time worshipping the Savior tomorrow. The Bible talks about this life being just a vapor in time. The true life lies on the other side of this world. We as Christians should realize this. As Christians we have this wonderful gift of hope but we fail to tell others. God has blessed my family more than I deserve. I hope that he will give me the boldness to tell other of the mercies and grace in my life.

May God Bless You

Friday, January 13, 2006 10:28 PM EST

Day 599

It is Friday. Yea!!! We have had a wonderful evening. We just stayed at home and watched a new movie Mac got for Christmas. (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) Mac really enjoyed it. He brought his daddy and invitation for the Dinner with Dad banquet. I am so excited for them. We have heard from Monica. She is having some difficulty at school, but Amy said she is working really hard. She went to Callaway to see the lights the week of Christmas. Thanks for checking in on us.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Thursday, January 12, 2006 9:45 PM EST

Day 598

Mac had a great day. He is running around everywhere and we are having to make him wear the boot for his foot. We thank you for your continued support and encouragement through each hump. My dad sings a song called Through the Fire. It says that God never promised that the road would not be easy. The past year has not been, but God has definitely given us lots of love through each of you.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Wednesday, January 11, 2006 8:00 PM CST

Day 597

We think there has been healing for the foot, since Mac decided to kick a ball with it tonight. All boy, is all I can say. He does still limp, but his foot is much better. He had a great day at school. He was glad to be back. His counts were extremely high yesterday, so I am praying that they will come down some.
May God Bless You

Check out the new pictures!!!

Tuesday, January 10, 2006 9:34 PM EST

Day 596

We had a good visit today at Egleston. Mac did a fine job with the access of his port. The dr. said that he may have something similar to a fracture on the top of his foot but it should heal quickly. He had a little boot to wear to protect his foot.

May God Bless You

Monday, January 9, 2006 8:56 PM EST

Day 595

Well we are still unsure about Mac's foot. We will let Dr. Briones and Ms. Tera decide tomorrow. He is still complaining with pain when he puts a lot of weight on it, but is trying to get around more. He has pretty much had to be in one spot today and be carried because of the type of cast or wrap they put on in the emergency room. Therefore Gigi had to call in reinforcement, with having an injured Mac and both girls. (Could you only imagine?) Thanks to everyone who helps us by going, taking care of the daily needs, getting medicine, and taking off. We appreciate it very much. Please be in prayer in the morning Mac will have an LP. We are thankful to God for new medicines which make this process easier. (Propofal) Each time they do an LP, they always check the spinal fluid. So we are praying for another good visit. Jeremy will also go tomorrow, so pray for him and his family.

Sunday, January 8, 2006 11:05 PM EST

Day 594

We had a wonderful day with a family get together but at the same time we had a little accident. Mac was playing on the trampoline and may have fractured a bone on the top of his foot. We ended up with a trip to the emergency room. The X-ray showed something but the Dr was not sure if it was a fracture. They said the truth would come if it did not get better soon. Mamma Duck, just wanted to let you know that he did not fall off the trampoline. He was just jumping with several other boys and appeared to come down wrong on his foot. We will let the Dr at Egleston look at it again on Tuesday.

May God Bless You

Saturday, January 7, 2006 11:33 PM EST

Day 593

Another end to a very good day. The weather was much better so the kids could play. Tomorrow should be wonderful with a high of 60. Best wishes to all. Please pray for our pastor's son, Mark. He hit his head and had to go to the emergency room. They feel like everything is OK but he does have a concussion.

May God Bless You

Friday, January 6, 2006 9:46 PM EST

Day 592

The weekend has finally arrived and we are looking forward to a great one. I found out today that me and Mac will attend a father/son dinner. That will be a blast. Everyone is feeling super and ready to play for 2 days. Please begin to pray for the LP procedure on Tuesday. Pray for God's blessings on the procedure and the continued cure of the Leukemia.

May God Bless You

Thursday, January 5, 2006 10:04 PM EST

Day 591

We had a great night tonight. We went to McDonald's in Buford and let the kids play for awhile. Then we went to the mall. Neither Mac or Tori have actually built a bear, so that's what we did. They had a really great time. Mac put a football jersey on his and David picked out a poodle skirt for Tori's. Usually when we all go to the mall everyone knows we are their. Tonight was really good. Pray for Damon and Jeremy.(friends at the clinic) Pawpaw is still running a fever. He will probably go back to the doctor tomorrow. Mac will be going Tuesday, January 10 for an LP. Please pray. Thanks
May God Bless
Ashlie

Wednesday, January 4, 2006 9:11 PM EST

Day 590

Mac did great at school today. He did not cry and loved seeing everyone. He said no one moved their car to yellow or red. He tells everything. Pawpaw is sick and went to the doctor today. He has an infection. Everyone else is doing well.
May God Bless
Ashlie

Tuesday, January 3, 2006 9:30 PM EST

Day 589

School starts tomorrow for Mac. It will be good to get the usual routine going again. He does much better with a schedule. He is still feeling great and playing hard.
Watching him and Tori grow up is a very special treat. The are so alike at times but at other moments they both show their own sides. Life is good.

May God Bless You

Monday, January 2, 2006 10:03 PM EST

Day 588

Today ended the Christmas break for us. Mac and Tori did well with the exception of a couple of meltdowns but I think we all would have liked to have been together. The kids come back to school tomorrow and life will start to get back to normal. Teaching is the best job around because you have an influence on so many students and you can spend so much time with your family. Keep up your prayers as we start this year.

May God Bless You

Sunday, January 1, 2006 9:56 PM EST

Day 587

We have had a great start on the new year. Everyone was able to attend church and all were well behaved. Mac had a long walk this afternoon so he took a wonderful nap. It was actually hard to get him up. I think his Aunt Abby wore him out. My family wishes each reader a wonderful 2006 and may God bless your household as much as he has blessed us!

May God Bless You
