A couple of weeks ago you mentioned that you love the clothes at JCPenney...well did you know that I work at JCPenney?? Yup, I do - I've worked here for almost 4 years!! p.s. Sorry to hear about the headaches! I get yucky headaches too - and believe it or not the thing that helps them the most is HOT PEPPERS in my nose!! I know it sounds really crazy, but there's this stuff called capsation (sp?) in the peppers that relieves the pressure in your sinuses and head. There's a spray called "Sinus Buster" that is basically hot pepper spray that you put up your nose - it's a miracle! :)

I'm sorry to hear you have been having head aches. Yuck! I hope they go away very soon. Do you think it could be allergies? My daughter gets horrible head aches too(worse when it's wet- we just found out it is a mold allergy). She had scratch tests and started on nose spray and Zyrtec and now she doesnt get them as often. I hope that you feel better soon! I can't even believe that summer is over. It went by too fast, didn't it?

My little Mamie has a cousin named Madison, but she's really, really old - she's in high school.

I'm glad to see that you seem so cheerful about things, even needle sticks. I can understand your mommy feeling a little strange about liking to see your blood, though. Maybe you can work at the Red Cross, or be a doctor or nurse, or even a scientist and work with blood to find a cure for leukemia. Maybe you could even invent an easier way to get the blood and platelets for transfusions - the veins in my left arm just won't hold still and when I give platelets they sometimes have to stick me four times before it works.

It is so true, and we thank God many times a day, that our kids have done so well. I look at Andrew and cant help but realize that a decade ago, I probably would not have been able to see him grow up. I think of the times where he really struggled...and now, with only 7.5 months to go (yippee!!) he looks and acts like a regular 5 year old (with extra steroid tantrums along the way.)

Glad you all had such a great time at the retreat....keep on enjoying life as a Survivor!!

Hey Madie- I am glad to hear that your sore spot is feeling better :) It usually is pretty quick to heal unless you slide down a 100 foot rock water slide, right? That is when I had to have mine taken out. Not too fun, for sure. I will be praying for your Aunt Rhonda to feel better. It is not fun being in the hospital!!! I hope we get an invite to your birthday party. I can't wait to see you. I keep meaning to call your mom to see when we can get together, but it seems like everyone is really busy these days. OH MY POOR LITTLE MADIE!! I have felt your pain and worse too. Just lay on your tummy A LOT! You would be suprised what you find to do lying on your tummy. Ask mom to put some dirty ol' rags on your belly and you can be her dust mop! :) Just teasing. The pillow mom got for you is the best, but be careful not to sit too much on it b/c the area around the sore spot starts to swell up and this is make it worse. If you take ibuprofen for a few days you will be fine. Warm baths too. Ask mom to let you take a bath in "mineral salts", Epsom salt, it helps to ease muscle soreness and might help that too. I love you my little friend. Take care of yourself. Give yourself a hug from me.

We went to Florida for Thanksgiving and had a superfantabulous time! Tyler felt pretty good this week but phooey, it was time to start his icky chemo again Tuesday. We always pray that it doesn't make him too sicky feeling and that he can still go to school, games, and have fun. We will be coming to the Lighthouse party on Sunday so we will get to see you in your pretty skirt! But we won't get to go to the Camp Sunshine party because we will be on our way home from the Smokey Mountains. Do you know Where that is? Ask your mom to get out a map and you can see where they are. Anyway, we might catch the tail end of the CS party but we're just not sure. Ok, I know what it is like to always wonder if the cancer is gonna come back, but you really have to try to not worry, and live everyday the best way you can. Remember to "Cast all your cares upon him (Jesus) because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 I bet you already know that verse, but I wanted to remind you about it. We love you little Madie and hope you have a wonderful day!!

My boss already promised the other one to someone else but on Friday she told me about some other kittens at her vet that have been rescued from Hurricane Katrina. She said they needed a good home. Hey, sounds like things are really going great for Madie (except for having to give away all the cool shoes!) I'm sorry to hear we missed you at Family Camp; we went last weekend.
