My barely 2 year old nephew was diagnosed last month with a rare childhood cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. This has been very devastating to our family and is very heartbreaking. You can't feel how much pain it is unless it happens to you.
Unfortunately, there isn't much attention in Childhood Cancers since most of them are rare cancers. In effect, there isn't much studies and research done for their cure.
I signed the petition "Cure Childhood Cancer - Another Inconvenient Truth". I'm asking you to sign this petition to help us reach our goal of 1,000,000 signatures. I care deeply about this cause, and I hope you will support our efforts. Thank you!

Cure Childhood Cancer - Another Inconvenient Truth
Target:
News media (e.g. 20/20, Dateline, 60 Min.) - we need to tell our story!
Sponsored by:
CureSearch & Texas Children's Hospital

RAISE AWARENESS & FUNDING FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER
Childhood Cancer Facts

- Childhood cancer is the #1 killer disease of our children, more than from asthma, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies, and pediatric AIDS combined

- 1 in 300 children will be diagnosed with cancer before age 20
- Each year 3,000 children die, and 35-40,000 are in treatment

- The National Cancer Institute's (NCI) federal budget was $4.6 billion. Of that, breast cancer received 12%, prostate cancer received 7%, and all 12 major groups of pediatric cancers combined received less than 3%

OBJECTIVE - RAISE AWARENESS

-Deliver signatures to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and Fox and challenge every prime time, investigative or news media to produce a special devoted solely to childhood cancer.

- The show will RAISE AWARENESS OF THE PROBLEM and show how special these kids are. Show how they face fear, pain, boredom and the unknown, many times for years on end. They may live or die, yet each will forever impact those around them in ways beyond their years.

You can make a difference. You can help. Please sign.

Hi, Shane!

This is my first visit to your site. It's so wonderful that you have had clear scans for so long! I'm praying for good scans next month and forever.

Do you talk to your little sibling in your Mommy's tummy? Did you know that if you do, he or she will be born already knowing your voice? We kind of knew that Mamie was a girl, but we weren't absolutely sure, so we didn't name her till she was born. When she kicked I would get close to her Mommy's tummy and say "Hey, Baby Person, stop kicking your Mommy!"

Kayla couldn't get a word in with all the talking that Shane was doing..and me..forget it except for answering his questions and statements! We sang alot, even sang to some of the store workers...they enjoyed that I am sure! I didn't have much luck though...got kayla something ,she was happy about that I am sure! My feet hurt now so I am going to put them up and read my book in between doing clothes. CONGRATULATIONS on losing your tooth. Have a great time at your birthday party on the trolley! I haven't checked in a few days because mom NEVER updates and here she did and I missed it! But here I am...should I be the first to tell of the new baby news? I will...nothing exciting like the sex or anything...I tried my darndest (sp) to see something but it all looked like clouds on that screen! I did get to see an awesome spine and rib cage along with the little one sucking his thumb! Just like Jr and me! Kayla mom says you did too, but not with as much dedication to thumb sucking as your brother and I did! LOL! Let's see we saw an excellent shot of the foot...but the lady didn't print mom out a photo of that...figures. I guess I should say for those unaware...I got to go see Cheryl's ultrasound today...that's how I saw the unborn! HA! Anywho...guess that's it...it was very exciting and HOT! Think Saharra Desert hot in that room! WHOA! Ok...I'll talk to you later!
