Merry christmas everyone!!!

It has been quite a long time since I have been on here to update Steven's info.

Steven has been doing better and better since his MAW basement was completed. His last cbc october 2007 was in the high 140k's His hemo Dr Blanchette is still dumbfounded over Steven's progress. He has never been one of the textbook ITP'rs with signs or symptons!!

It has been a very enlightening 9 yrs since his first diagnosis, some good times and quite a few worrying times along the way..

Steven is now 17 yrs old and a very handsome young man, he is very laid back and there is not much that bothers him or gets him angry.. He loves to play the drums, so we added a drumset to the basement. the air hockey table is gone, traded that for a reduction on the cost of re-vamping the arcade game after a power outage all over the city in 2004/5.

Steven has one more appt at sick kids in Toronto n if all goes well, hopefully his last. He has to get a cbc done in april. then his yrly check up in october..

I pray that all of the children with ITP are doing well..

"MERRY CHRISTMAS" from Wasaga Beach.

Boys were up a little later than usual, guess they are getting older now. 9:30am..LOL
Took Steven to Neelu's house (a friend of mine) to deliver presents. Then we had to stop in at Auntie Diane's house to deliver more presents then it was off home to get ready for the 1.5 hour drive to Mum and Dad's house in Wasaga Beach..

Mike drove the Honda (ofcourse) and I had to drive the Lumina, We brought the Dog and John brought his girlfriend so we had to take two cars. My toes were numb by the time we arrived.( not much in the way of heat in the Lumina).

The boys are having a blast here with their cousins, and it is so nice to see them again, esp since they will be leaving in a couple of weeks to go back to Kergyzstan. That is when I get a car with heat..YIPPEEEE!!

Tomorrow we drive to Toronto to visit Mike's Dad, usually we get together on Christmas eve, but this year I had to work late. So we postponed and decided it would be better to leave it till Dec 26th this year.

Steven is still doing great, His moods are fine and he has no new bruises or Petechaei anywhere. His Dad and I got him an MP3 player for his Christmas and when he opened his present from his Aunt and Uncle, guess what he got ( not to hard to figure it out LOL) He got another MP3 player. Probably the only 14 yr old with not one but two MP3 players. Needless to say his younger brother ( Gary 11 yrs old) is not too impressed as he wanted one but we thought he was too young..LOL ( ofcourse you know who will get it now, NO not me!!LOL)

Again Merry Christmas to everyone
God Bless

Today was our regular 6 monthly appointment at Toronto Sick Childrens Hospital.

Steven is overseen by Dr.Victor Blanchette, Dr Blanchette is one of the leading ITP researchers and has published numerous papers on ITP in Children.

Well the moment you have all been waiting for 90k.. Isn't that amazing. Dr Blanchette is not ready to discharge him from care just yet. ( awwwe), but as he said ITP is so unpredictable that it can turn around at any time. He would like to see Steven with at least a count of 150K ( low normal) for at least a year with no dips. Apart from that Dr Blanchette says Steven is doing fantastic and this is not the "NORM" for ITP, ( something I have always said " my son likes to be different).
NORM meaning Children who have been Chronic for as long as Steven has don't usually do that well with no treatments or supplements etc.,and tend not to bounce around in counts quite so much. Please everyone keep saying those prayers!!Maybe soon Steven will go into remission.. ( and really stump those Docs..)

Steven ( poor kid) is not a happy camper!!!LOL He has been bugging me for about a year now to play Paintball with his friends. NO WAY!! So being the type of mother who just hates to say NO, ( and my boys know it). I made an agreement with Steven, whatever Dr Blanchette says, I would abide by.. ( needless to say I sent a quick prayer up there before the Dr came into the room), then sighed with relief when Dr Blanchette said NO!!!No Way etc etc.,

ITP= FRUSTRATION!!!!

Today we were at a BBQ at a friends house, now you have to remember that Steven has NEVER has a problem with Chlorine. ( Chlorine can lower platelets for some of our ITP'rs).

Well today he was in the pool for about 3 hrs ( nothing unusual about that). What was unusual was that when Steven was drying off I notice 6/7 fingerprint bruises on the underside of his upper right arm. He also had quite a few streaks of petechaei.. Looks like Steven's ITP is changing on me again.

Oh well that is life with ITP/Frustrating..

Saturday, September 4, 2004 8:12 PM CDT

Well I finally got up the gumption to take Steven for another count..

82k, not too bad. School starts on Tuesday so I really needed to know. Ofcourse I am still waiting for the "bomb to drop" so to speak. It seems to me that Steven's ITP is changing once again, usually with counts between 80 and 110k, Steven is covered in bruises. Not so this time. Which is a good sign..Wonder what other changes his ITP has in store for us??

I took the Hockey sweaters and the Photo of Bobby Orr to get framed on Friday.. $750.. We are now officially POOR!LOL.

I think it is great all of those celebs actually take time to visit, sign things and really put a smile on these kids faces..

Another really busy and fun day!!!!

Today Breakfast Television was at the house. They filmed LIVE!!!

The camera crew arrived at 6am to set up the satellite outside the house. Jennifer Valentine arrived at 6:25am along with many other guests. There was the team of Interior Designers, MAW team two other MAW families. A sister and brother who are previous MAW recipients. The sister's wish was the Disney trip and the Brother rec'vd a Computer and accessories.

Steven ( 15 yr old) has just been approved by MAW, his wish is for a laptop and games. Sebrina is the wish grantor for Steven too ( she was one of the wish grantor's for my Steven). In fact Steven's Father Kenny ( works beside me at Transit).

Needless to say Steven's two friends slept here the night before. Tony and Kevin..although I don't think they actually slept, I know I didnt'..LOL

The Maw team brought in Coffee and Donuts for breakfast, which I thought was really sweet. In fact everyone was just so nice.. Lianne's ( one of the designers) mothers b'day was today and Jennifer let her say Happy Birthday to her mum, Also John asked if he could say Happy Birthday to his friend Steve ( a very popular name Steven is )LOL.. Every one was just so wonderful

I even got to present a check to MAW ( on camera...LOL) I was so nervous. I just saw a taped copy and I cannot believe how snotty I sounded.. esp when Jennifer asked if I drove school bus..I said NO no no City of Brampton Transit, I only meant to clarify that it was Transit who gave the donations. I actually drove School bus for about 7 yrs, and I loved it. I appologise if anyone thinks I came off as snotty. Believe me I am the last person to put on airs (sp) and graces. I can't even spell correctly..LOL

Steven was given a Team Canada Shirt ( signed by Wayne Gretzky), and a photograph of Bobby Orr, and it was signed too. He had already been given a Maple Leafs Shirt signed by Domi. ( think he is still in shock!!!)LOL

Jennifer brought Steven's best friend Tony into the middle of things too.. Tony should be the class clown, Jennifer asked if he was Steven's friend and the little pest said NO..LOL but Jennifer handled it like a pro and asked why he was here, so Tony said he is Steven's cousin.. LOL

Tony has been around since the begining of this ITP and he and Steven are inseperable. He is always here and when he is trying to be funny he calls me mum.. LOL

I felt like crying when I was saying goodbye to the MAW girls, but they know that if there is ever anything I can do for them, all they have to do is pick up the nearest phone..

Now it is time to get back to reality.. Housework YUK!!!

Daniella from MAW called and said that Jennifer from BT is really interested on doing a segment on Stevens MAW.. They will be here to film on Sept 2nd @ 6:30am..So for all of you who get channel 7 ( City T.V) you will see what I am so excited about..( Steven and the boys too.. that includes Daddy..LOL) From what I understand there will be 3 different segments on the same day!!!

I hope they don't ask me any questions, we all know how I did at the conference in Chicago!!! I told Daniella to make sure all questions are directed to Steven...LOL

Aren't I a nice mummy...LOL

Sunday, August 15, 2004 7:44 PM CDT

Yesterday was about as hectic as it could get.

I had invited all of the drivers, family and friends who have supported and encouraged us over the past 6 yrs. What a turnout. Suzanne ( her hubby is a driver, Brad) volunteered to do the BBQing while I greeted guests and showed them the games room.. There must have been over 100 adults in and out of the house. We started the BBQing at 10:30 and didn't stop till after midnight. Most guests brought their children, but some of the drivers came in between shifts and where still in uniform. While the children ( young and old) played in the games room, some of us were out in the backyard eating and just having a blast.. Spencer ( another ITP child ) was there with his two siblings ( Paxton and Hayden) and his parents,Judy and John. We had Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Potatoe salad, macaroni salad, Chicken breasts, chips, pop etc etc, but I was so gratefull to the people who brought extra with them.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who brought extra Pop, chips,Gatorade etc.,and to those who helped to make this day possible.

A very special thanks to those who helped in the planning of this event. Suzanne, you are a gem!Brad, Thank you so much for covering my work for the day.. Love ya sweetie
Joann, without you no-one would have eaten.. ( Joann picked up all of the food while I was at work). I cannot forget to thank my hubby Mike, who also did a lot of running around on Saturday for those little last minute things ( propane LOL) Can u just imagine having a BBQ and forgetting to top up the propane tank..LOL

Even at the end of the night, Suzanne was there to help with the clean up, Cat..( my bus bunny!!!LOL) and John also helped to clean up the back yard before they headed home.

I hope I haven't left anyone out, have a slight sleep depravation prob today, if I didn't mention your contribution, PLEASE don't take offense, I appreciated everyone who came and made this into a huge success and something Steven will always remember..

It is completed. ( well almost!!!)..

The games were delivered yesterday, and everything was set up..

I just can't find the right word to describe it, fantastic, Kewl, awesome and amazing just don't seem to do it justice.. The basement is no longer!! It is now an Arcade/Games room.

Martina (MAW) Suzanne ( Interior Designer) and two other pple ( the woman's name was Cathy ) but for the life of me in all of the excitement I just cannot remember the man's name. Anyway, all four of them worked so hard and completed the basement so that Steven could see it and have somewhere to play this weekend.

If you could have seen Steven's face, it was a picture ( actually I got a pic of it). I took the pics in to get them put on CD, but they forgot to put the CD in the envelope, AARRRGH!! So I am gonna have to run over to the City Center tomorrow and get them.

Well I know everyone is just dying to see the finished basement, but you will all have to wait for one more day..LOL

The Mural of Steven's drawing has not been done on the wall yet, it is to be done sometime this week..

On Saturday 07th is when we will be having the official openning with MAW!!
The week after on the Saturday 14th, I will be having a BBQ for all of those who have been supoprtive and helpfull to Steven and the family during teh past 6 yrs.

Needles to say the boys are downstairs right now, I probably will never see them again..LOL

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH MAKE A WISH FOR PUTTING A SMILE ON STEVEN'S FACE ONCE AGAIN..

Well, things are really moving fast now with Steven's Wish.

Martina called about 5 mins ago (MAW).. The interior designers are coming tonight to deliver some furniture and then the games will be here tomorrow. Just in time for the long weekend. Steven will be so excited when I tell him..

Hey what do I mean Steven?? I am sooooo excited!!!LOL John finally gets his bedroom back and I finally get my dinning room.LOL only kidding!!

I have arranged for Steven and his younger brother Gary to be out of the house when the furniture arrives tonight, but will have to think of something fast for tomorrow. It would be such a shame to spoil the surprise on the last day..

With all of this good news I am wondering if I should take Steven for a count, or better yet, I think I will continue to bury my head in the sand and just hope that he has great counts..LOL Denial ( it's a wonderful thing!!!)

Tuesday, July 13, 2004 1:37 PM CDT

Finally have some spare time to post regarding the ITP conference.

What can I say, It was great to meet new people and get re-aquainted with friends from previous conferences.

I have posted some pics on the ITPFamiles site if anyone would like to go take a wee gander at them. ( please email me with your email addy and I will send you an invitation) Membership is by approval of the managers. The site is completley free of charge..

Leslie, Steven and I left the house late Thursday ( early Friday) we had a very interesting drive and never really did get lost. although a couple of times we were not quite sure of exactly where we were..LOL
We arrived in Baltimore at about 1:30pm and checked into the hotel.

There were 5 of us in the Hotel room, needed to keep the cost down a bit.

Jen ( Matthew's mum), karen ( Jacob's mum) Leslie ( Matthew's mum) Steven and I.

I was helping out on the registration table so I had to be downstairs by 5pm..
I was pleased to see Liz there at the registration table, Liz and I are old friends from previous coferences and both get along like a house on fire.

Once the registration was closed for the night, we entered the conference hall.I took some notes, but now ( as usuall) I can't make them out..LOL

The Conference was a 3 day affair, on the Saturday night, pdsa with the help of sponsors put on a Casino night. Steven had a blast at the Poker table..LOL

Before the Casino was scheduled to begin, about 9 of us headed for the bar and some food, Dr Drew Proven joined us and we all chatted, asked some questions and had some laughs. Steven and Ron Strom played some pool and we all had a good time.

Casino night went off without a hitch, and lots of prizes were to be had.. Leslie ( Matthews mum) won the two airline tickets.. ( must be Irish with all of that Luck of hers)..LOL

I spent most of the night relaxing in the Bar with others chatting about what we had learned that day.

I had mentioned to Ron, Peg and a few of the others that night that I had a question and really didn't want to ask it in front of everyone.. ( regarding puberty and boys etc.,)
Anyway, didn't Ron (Peg's hubby)go and ask for me. I still go red in the face when I think about it...LOL but it was something that worried me. Especially since Steven is getting older now.
Turns out there is really nothing to worry about, as long as Steven tells me ( or his father) of any bleeding.

On the Sunday it was so sad to leave and say goodbye.. Everyone there was so nice. I have added quite a few more people to my list of ITPfriends. Even though we met through ITP, I hope that we will remain good friends when a cure is found and ITP is no longer a threat to anyone anymore..

Hopefully with all of the research into this dissorder, a cure won't be too far off in the future.

June 24th

Today was the day of the Golf tournament..

It took about 1 hour to drive there, and it was a beautiful day for golfing..

The boys have never golfed, but did want to try the driving range, they were each allowed to Hit as many balls as they wanted.

Steven's speach was great, he is so calm, cool and collected. he explained a little about ITP and also said Thank You to all who had helped in his wish.
I am so proud of him, he is growing up and maturing so fast!! I can't really call him my little boy anymore..

June 23rd

I took the day off work and picked up Leslie ( Matthew's mum) at the airport today. Matthew also has ITP.

Leslie, Seven and I are drivig to Baltimore late Thursday ( early Friday) depending on how you look at it. We are going to be attending the annual ITP Conference.

Leslie, is such a sweetheart.. she brought a "Flyers" T-shirt for Steven and a oil burner for me, ( along with a ring that one of her friends makes) The ring even fits..LOL

Thursday, June 10, 2004 4:24 PM CDT

Steven and I spent the whole day in Toronto.. Steven's sick kids appt was at 1:30pm and we were outta there by 2:30pm ( now that's a first)LOL

Wasn't the best appointment we have ever had. Did NOT hear that long awaited for word "REMISSION". :(

Instead Steven's cbc 62k, that is down by almost half since his last count of 110k just over a week ago.. So I guess we take another ride on the roller coaster, thought for sure we would get off this time, but it is just not meant to be..

62k, is still not too shabby of a count, considering his treatment level is now 20k, and he can still do most normal activities, just be a little more carefull..( and 13 yr old boys know how to be carefull "right" LOL)..

I forgot to mention in my last entry that Steven was asked to draw a pic of whatever he wanted to give to the company who are hosting the Golf tournament in his honour. This picture is to be made into placemats for everone who is having lunch there.. Anyway when the MAW team were here on Saturday, a suggestion was made that an enlarged replica of Steven's drawing be painted on one of our basement walls.. Now isn't that a fabulous idea???!!!

His next cbc will probably be on the 23rd, just before we leave to go to the conference. ( just in case).

Saturday, June 5, 2004 1:47 PM CDT

It is only 3pm and so far we have had a very busy and interesting day.
The Wish crew came at 10am this morning with the plans for the basement. Wow.!!! You should see what they have planned. We have decided to go with the complete overhaul. They will be ripping out the panneling and putting up dry wall. ( something we had wanted to do but couldn't for numerous reasons). We took Steven down to the basement and told him about the plans, but we could not let him see the drawings as there are a couple of surprises in there..I would love to tell you what they are, but daren't in case he reads it on here. They will be putting up new lighting (pot lights). He knows about the fooseball table and the Air Hockey table and the games table that will be put in downstairs, but that is all I can tell you about it right now. They are hoping to have it all completed by June 29th.

I will be travelling to the conference in Baltimore this year on June 25th, so that will give them carte blanche with the work as Steven is coming with me. Mike, John and Gary will still be here though. ( need someone to let them in and make sure the dog is okay with them).I could just imagine them coming and the Dog not letting them in the door.. ( now that would be really embarrassing) They also have carpet squares to put down. So it will be a brand new basement.

I had to laugh though as the designers said that this is a first "Wish" for them.(hmmmm???)lol.I have faith in them!!! :) I know they will do a great job.

Mike and I took Steven and Gary to see the new Harry Potter movie in the afternoon, the boys really enjoyed it and honestly so did we.

Hubby took Steven for a cbc today, he is leaving for Montreal and Ottawa on a school trip on Monday. This is the first time he will be away from Home ( well me at least) and I am so nervous about it.

The Lab called tonight to say the results were in, but when I called back to find out what they were, I was on hold for the longest time. ( think I bit every nail right down to the quick..LOL)

Wow can u believe it, 110K, slowly but surely his counts
are on the upswing..

I am flabbergasted.., this is by far the longest time he has had between treatments( two years and 3 months) and his lowest cbc was 49K, ( March 03)..

I don't know if this has any bearing or not, could just be another coincidence, but when Steven was first approved by the make a wish foundation , That is when his counts started to climb on their own this time.. If stress can lower platelets why can't good news help them to increase..( just a thought).

Hope everyone is doing well..

Love, Hugs and Platelets
Lynn

P.S. Martina from Make A Wish called today and asked if we were available to meet the desingers on Saturday June 5th at 10 am.. Hey honestly I would meet them at midnight if they asked, they are doing such great things for my boy. I really do believe his wish has a lot to do with his increased platelet count..

Monday, April 26, 2004 0:42 AM CDT

The Charity Bowl yesterday was a great success. The boys had a blast.
We drove to the bowling alley at 11:30am, even though the bowling was not to start till 1pm. Mum and Dad made up bags for the raffle. There were two raffles and something like 50 prizes. The first was a free raffle and every bowler was given a ticket. They had about 45 prize laid out on a table and when a number was called out, the person got to choose wich one they wanted. Gary's ticket number was picked and he chose a envelope with Tim Horton vouchers..( Maybe he will give them to me..LOL). Steven picked a personal phone book/address book and a pen.The other raffle was 3 tickets for $2. I bought six tickets and gave the boys 2 each and kept 2 for myself. Needless to say I never won, but Gary's number was called again. Gary picked a basket with all sorts of things in it ( picture frames, candles and candle holders). Says he is keeping it to give to his Gran for her B'day in October.LOL

We finally got home at about 6:30pm, just in time for Steven to watch Hockey with his Dad.

Again the boys had a great weekend.

Friday, April 23, 2004 3:42 AM CDT

I thought I would add this in seperately as this just happened today.

Got a call from Steven's school at 11am. He was not there. As usual I panicked. I couldn't find him in the house. I was just about to leave and go to the mall to see if he was maybe in the arcade, when Steven came upstairs out of the basement. He said he fell asleep in the spare room, when I asked him "why?. He said that he made a promise to himself that he would Never come out of the room till he no longer had ITP. Then he proceeded to cry his little heart out.. Just when you start to relax, ITP bites you in the butt as if to say " I am still here". I am gonna keep an eye on him over the next couple of days to see if his moods improve, otherwise it is off to the lab for another cbc.
Steven does not always show signs of low counts, ( bruises etc.,). In fact he can look great at a count of 8k, and can be covered in bruises at higher counts (the pic above was taken when he was 87k), which realistically is a pretty good count. especially when you consider most kids are not treated till 10k or 20k. The only way I can even begin to fathom his counts is by his moods.

Seratonin- Chemical in the brain that regulates mood swings, sleep patterns, energy etc., is actually stored ( up to 98%) in platelets. So when platelets are low then so must the Seratonin. Therefore unusual mood swings and sleep patterns etc., At the times when Steven has low counts or when his counts take a big swing, he seems to get pretty depressed. e.g. hates his life, cries at the drop of a hat etc., etc., Steven knows all about Seratonin, but at the time it doesn't make it any easier to deal with.

The other theory is that he is just being a typical teenage boy.. puberty, ya gotta love it..LOL

I hate this disorder!!!!!!

Friday, April 23, 2004 3:33 AM CDT

Wow we had a really busy week at our house, on Monday and Tuesday I had to take an Air brake course. Gotta sit my Z endorsement again. ( renewal). Anyways, on Tuesday 20th, it was International Kids Make a Wish day, There must have been about 40 ppl from MAW all of us at the Blue Jays Baseball game at the Toronto Skydome. We had a blast.

We arrived there at 3:45pm to meet with the MAW granters and other MAW kids. One of the kids threw the first pitch ( Murray). We were all led into the skydome at 4:15pm, the game was not due to start till 7:05pm. So we were all allowed to go and watch the players warm up. The MAW kids were all given baseballs ( the players were practising with) and everyone there was given a Blue Jays baseball hat. One of the players came over to say high to the kids and signed the baseballs and the hats. MAW even sent a hat home for my oldest son ( John) as he was not there. Then just before they opened the gates to the public we all went to our seats.. The boys had a blast. ( so did I).

Make a Wish Foundation is just awesome!!!

Another big day for Steven ( and his older brother John). Due to the generosity of a MAW donor, Steven again recieved two tickets to the Raptor's game. This one was on Sunday April 11,2004. Both boys had an excellent time and the Raptors lost ( sniff sniff) during overtime. I could never afford to send Steven and any of his brothers to the Raptors games. Especially to sit in the fantastic seats that are donated to MAW. These ones were seat 1&2 row 27. Talk about reach out and touch someone..LOL

I am gonna have to save some money up so that I can send my younger son to the game with them one of these days. Needless to say he is feeling a bit left out here, but since the donation was for two tickets, and Steven is only 13 yrs old, I felt it best to have his older brother (18 yrs) take him..Actually Gary is okay with this arrangement as he gets to play on the X-box ( live) when my oldest is not hogging it to himself..LOL

Well I registered for the ITP conference in Maryland this year. So Steven, Leslie ( Matthew's mum) and I will drive there late on the 24th. I can't wait to see all of my old friends from previous conferences and meet friends from the web site for the first time. The conferences are always so exciting and informative.

Saturday, April 3, 2004 9:23 PM CST

Dropped Steven and John ( 17) at the Air Canada Center in Down town Toronto for the Raptors game. The tickets were given to Steven by Lina at the Raptors Gala, From what she said a co-worker gave them to her to give to Steven. I am so amazed that there are so many caring people in this world, If not for the donation of the tickets, I don't think Steven would ever have seen the raptors play ( except on T.V.) of course. The seats are just way too expensive for my budget.

My Dad is running a bowl-A-Thon for The O.E.S. ( Staynor chapter) and all proceeds are being donated to the Children's wish foundation. So on Monday I am taking the pamphlet into my work to get some sponsor's. I work with a great bunch of people and they are always willing to help out in any way they can.

Things are starting to move really fast now with Steven's
Make a Wish..

Daniella, called yesterday and was talking to me about the
company who are sponsoring Steven's wish. They are having a Golf Tournament and want Steven and the rest of the family to be there. Leslie, ( another ITP mother from Canada, will be here at that time and they have said that she is welcome too).Daniella had also suggested that one of us ( Mike or I) get up and make a speach.. I already tried to speak at the ITP conference and I couldn't do it again,( dissaster)..lol
Steven also spoke that day and he did a fantastic job, so he has said that he will speak at the tournament "My little Man"!!!
He has made me so proud, all through this ITP he has been great. He truly deserves for his wishes to come true..
All of our children with ITP deserve to be granted a wish.

Tuesday, March 16, 2004 4:41 PM CST

Wow Where to start,

Lina from Bell Canada donated 3 tickets to the Toronto Raptor's Gala to Make A Wish Foundation and Martina gave the tickets to Steven.

We had a fantastic night out..

It started at 6pm at the Air Canada Center in Downtown Toronto.

Upon arriving there, we met with Lina and she is such a sweetheart. We entered the auditorium ( think that is what you call it). There were basketball games ( like in the Arcades) and about 10 playstations set up for people to play and I lost count of the amount of diner tables.

Steven and Tony ( his best friend) walked around and got signatures of the Baskeball Players and I took photo's of them. The Toronto Raptor's need a really big pat on the back for pulling of this Charity event, they raised something like $45,000 for the Children's Wish Foundation.

Steven was shooting hoops and there were two of the Raptors players there shooting hoops too, ( andSteven beat them) It was Fantastic, the players were so surprised, a crowd of people started to gather around Steven and chant " way to go Kid" He was over the moon. One of the players was Alvin Williams and I can't for the life of me remember the name of the other. Steven played 4 games with Alvin and won 3 of them. The other player was ( after about 5 games) massaging Steven's shoulders it was very exciting and lots of fun.

My oldest son ( John ) just phoned from work and said that he saw Steven on the news on Channel 7, early this morning and he was "high Fiving" one of the players ( the one I just can't think of his name..LOL)

The food was excellent and from what I understand The Team cooked the diner for everyone.

The memory of last night will last Steven a lifetime.

Thank you Lina and MAW for everything you have done..

I have posted some of the pics on the ITPFamilies site @ groups.msn.com/ITPFamilies

Steven is having a great day today, I just informed him that Martina from make a wish had called me and has given us 3 tickets to the Toronto Raptor's Gala. Steven is over the moon with excitement, he loves basketball. It is being held on Monday at 6pm in the Air Canada Center in Toronto, there will be tons of celebrities attending. We are being allowed to take a camera with us, so I will be posting pictures of the event as soon as I can. It is so nice that Make A Wish Foundation can do this, these kids really deserve some time to forget all about this disorder, and I think this should do it for a little while at least.
