AYDEN

Welcome to Aydens page. Ayden was diagnosed with stage 2B Neuroblastoma at the age of 4 weeks. A large tumor was found in an ultra sound that was looking for Pyloric Stenosis. Ayden had surgury one week later and had the tumor, his adrenal gland, a kidney and some lymph nodes removed. We agreed to put him in a study POG#9641 which means he was not treated with Chemotherapy instead he is monitored with CT and MRI. He is now four and is doing well. We thank God every day for Aydens early detection and pray for others who are dealing with neuroblastoma on all levels as we know any one of the others could have been us.

Please pray for these children who are either fighting cancer, in remission or have lost their battle. Ryan, Katie, Tori, Austin, Ashley, Morgan, Daniel, Chris, Gregory, Christopher, Garret, Christa, Emma, Hannah, Ezra, Hailey, Jessi, Gooch, Jay, John, Sarah, Zoe, Jake, Matthew. Anyone intrested in being a support to any of these families let me know and I will give you their sites or addresses.

NEUROBLASTOMA IS NOT A WELL KNOWN CANCER SO THERE IS NOT ALOT OF FUNDS GOING TO RESEARCH. ANYONE INTERESTED IN HELPING RAISE FUNDS FOR NEUROBLASTOMA RESEARCH PLEASE SEE THIS IMPORTANT SITE www.ottawanrf.com/home.htm

Well its been a long time since I updated the site. Thanks to all those who still stop by. Life gets busy and when Ayden is doing well I dont think to post anything. Ayden will be 5 next month Wow I can t beleive my baby is 5. Things are going well, we had a scare a few months back but a bone scan showed nothing so that eased our minds. Ayden had a hearing test during the summer because we find he yells alot and his Junior Kindergarten teacher also thought it would be a good idea to check things out. He passed the hearing test but still didnt pass the eardrum function test. He for some reason cant drain that darn fluid in his ears. This has been a ongoing problem except when he had the tubes in which fell out almost 2 years ago now. It might mean he has to get them put in once again but he will be going back for another test sometime this fall. They said he is probably yelling because the fluid in his ears would make it seem to him that he has water in his ears. It doesnt mean he cant hear but he doesnt hear the same way. Other then that things are well. I will be moving into a new place on Nov 1st with my new boyfriend and all the kids. He has two kids so we got a 5 bedroom, so that there is room when his kids come on the weekend. We have been living in a two bedroom with a third room I put in the basement and I need to get out. Its crazy when all five kids are here. I have been looking for something for a year and a half now so I am glad I finally found something. Well again thanks for checking in. Ayden is big and definately bad. Cant complain I would rather bad then sick anyday. Hope all is well with everyone else take care

Josie
