Hi Jennifer and Jackson -
I just wanted to Thank you for your thoughts and prayers while Skylar going through such a similar experience to the one Jackson went through. They are truly amazing children. I really appreciated your words of encouragement today. I know maintenance is supposed to be easy, I hope you are right. Anyway - I hope to get together with you soon. I know that you know how crazy things are right now. Thanks again for everything.
God Bless,
Amy and Skylar

I just happen to come across Jacksons site, we have a little girl in our hometown that is battling cancer, she has been through soo much, she had her bone marrow transplant and on her 80 day check , cancer showed up again. She is only 8 years old, her name is Baily Rocha, if you could ad her to your prayer list, she could use all the prayers she can get!!!
It was nice to actually read your journal and see that children actually do get better, and what a little cutie he is!
I just thought since I read your sons life story, lol, that I needed to at least say hi and I am so glad to see that he and your family is doing well,,, God is great!

Jackson, CONGRATULATIONS! What a handsome little graduate you are! Wow, you will be in kindergarten! I teach kindergarten here in Arkansas...I just said good-bye to my students this past Friday. I don't know where the time goes. It seems like we just started school yesterday, not several months ago. Tell Mom to enjoy the time...it goes WAY too quickly. :) Have a fun summer; I still check on you and pray for you.

Dear Jen,

I am so very happy that Jackson's blood work is clear. Those who have not had a child with cancer seem to think that all our worries are gone once our child is off treatment or if we've lost our child to this terrible disease that we have no more worries. Either way, we will always be scarred by this disease. I hate cancer and all that it has done to our families. Wishing you peace.

Love,

Laura

Jennifer,
I went to Jackson's link after viewing your message in Cam's guestbook. I admire your honesty in your anger with the course life sometimes takes. You're right...it is VERY difficult to understand why some people who are bad people to the core will live and live and why good, wonderful people like Cam have to die. I've only met Cam's parents once, but am friends with his uncle who is devastated and doesn't have the same acceptance of fate that Michelle and Erik have come to terms with. I'm happy for you and your family that your prognosis continues to look up and I wish that for you always.

Jackson, as soon as I visited your site (which I do nightly), I saw the new border and thought, "There is a new entry I bet!" I was so pleased to hear your last bloodwork was good and that you are doing well. I agree with Mom...it is hard to understand why some kids don't get better and some kids do. I will pray for your friend Cameron. I will also continue to pray for you so that you DO stay healthy. Have a great rest of the weekend!

This is the first time I have visited Jackson's website, but it is so wonderful to visit a site with happy news. My grandson was diagnosed with Infiltrating pontine glioma on March 17, 2004. His test results have always been miraculous. He just finished his fifth round of chemo and has an MRI next week. I am sure you understand how hard we are praying for good results. I will add Jackson, the grilled cheese monster, to my prayer list. Please stop by and visit sometime.

Hi Jennifer and Jackson
This is Jordans mum, I know for some reason we have never realy spoken at the hospital. I can honestly say I dont know why, as you seem Like the obvious person to speak to since Jordan must have been the next child diagnosed with ALL after Jackson on the 16th just 8 days after Jackson,
I just wanted to say sorry If I ever seemed distant from you,at the time Jordan was diagnosed I was a bit of a space cadet and once it set in I felt like when ever I saw you and Jackson that you were in your own little world of trying to cope that it didnt seem appropreate to try to get to know you.I just wanted to say that Im a very caring person and I very often came home from hospital and thought about how beautiful your little Jackson is.
Im glad he is doing well.
Just a little coincidence Jennifer you look so much Like my best friend in Newcastle every time I see you at the hospital I think about her and It makes me smile.
Take Care

In your intro you say he is your hero...

Is your hero your parent?
the one who was there to pat you on back or your back-side.

Is your hero the cop or fireman?
Either holding out a helping hand.

Is your hero the school teacher, neighbor...(make your own list)
all deserving, all important. Heros are in short supply these days.

Mine happens to be a little four year old who knocked on heavens door and was let in.

Through the transplant, countless spinal taps, procedures and all she did in fact have her bad days... but, through it all she forever had a smile for me when I walked through the door.

I ALWAYS had a hug waiting for me no matter if it was at home or at the hospital.

My hero, my daughter, who crammed more life into four years one month and one day, then most of us will be able to do in our entire life time.

Give all your family a hug for me.

My Goodness - has it really been over a month since I stopped by your place for a visit?!?! I feel so awful that I have been so lacking in the guestbook signing department, However I think that things around our house are finally slowing down, so I should be able to visit more often from now on, at least that is what I am hoping.
I hope that everyone around your house is doing well and that you are enjoying the end of Summer, and having lots of fun. You are in our thoughts, wishing you a great week, awesome weekend, and sending lots of love, hugs, and prayers your way

Hello, i was watching a couple of new records being set at the Olympics today, so thought i would look up some slightly stranger ones instead of some jokes.

Here's a couple;

Most spoons balanced on the face
Tim Johnston (USA) (b. 1 January 1992), was able to balance on his face (one on each ear, two on each cheek, three on his chin, two on his lips, one on his nose and three on his forehead) and balance them for 30 seconds at on May 28, 2004.

British pub landlord Garry Turner clipped 153 ordinary wooden clothes pegs on his face at the WH Smith bookshop in York, Yorkshire, UK, on September 28, 2002

I found this poem on another web page, thought I would share it with you.

WHY US

Most women become a mother by accident, some by choice, a few by habit.
Did you ever wonder how mother of children with cancer are chosen?
Somehow, I visualize God hovering over the earth selecting his instruments for propagtion with great care and deliberation. As He observes, He instructs his angels to make notes in a giant ledger...
"Armstrong, Beth, son, patron saint Matthew"
"Forest,Marjorie, daugher, patron saint Cecilia"
"Rutledge, Carrie, twins, patron saint Gerard. He's used to profanity"
Finally, he passes a name to an angel and says, "Give her a child with cancer."
The angel is curious. "Why this one God? Shes's so happy."
"Exactly, similed God. "Could I give a child with cancer a mother who does not know laughter? That would be cruel."
"But does she have patience?" asks the angel.
"I don't want her to have too much patience or she will drown in a sea of self pity and despair. Once the shock and resentment wears off, she will handle it."
"I watched her today," said God. "She has that feeling of self-independence that is so rare and necessary in a mother. You see, the child I'm going give to her has its own world. She has to make it live in her world and that's not going to be easy."
"But Lord, I don't think she even believes in you," said the angel.
"No matter. I can fix that. This one is perfect, she has just enough selfishness."
The angel gasps, "Selfishness? Is that a virtue?"
God nods. "If she can't seperate herself from the child occasionally, she'll never survive.
Yes, here is a woman I will bless with a child less than perfect. She doesn't realize it yet, but she is to be envied. She will never take anything her child does for granted. She will never consider a step ordinary."
"I will permit her to see clearly the things I see...ignorance, cruelty, prejudice...and allow her to rise above them."
"And what about her patron saint?" asks the angel, his pen poised in mid-air.
God smiles and says "A mirror will suffice."

Jennifer & Jackson,

Hey there! Sorry to hear that you were so sick, but I am glad that you are feelinh better now.. I hope that you have a really good week,

Jennifer,
I can somewhat relate to what you are saying.. Every time that Dillion is sick I tend to panic, and treat everything as something major even if it is not.. Don't feel bad for doing that.. It is nothing to feel bad about, You are simply a mother trying very hard to protect her baby, but please try to stay positive.. I know it is hard, but life is a lot easier (ok not easier but less stressful) when you try to keep a positive additude..

I will be saying tons and tons of prayers for you and for Jackson.. Hope that you have a really great week!!

SMILE!!!!

Ps. I am hear if you ever want to talk, or vent.. Feel free to write me an e-mail

Hi there Jennifer,
I'm glad you're feeling much better and most importantly that you have wonderful support there for you when you need a little encouragement. You're such a great Mom! Your little boys are so blessed and though they might not realize that while they are young, when they are older they will and they will tell you just how much your love and wonderful care of them meant as they were growing up.
I'm here most every day, gotta get my Jackson smile fix you know! I don't post every time I'm here, afraid to make a pest of myself, but I'm going to start posting a little something every time I'm here, even if it's just a little picture for the boys or something like that. I always look forward to reading your journal entries. Thank you for continuing to keep us updated!

YEAH Jackson OT. Way to go.

Jennifer you have every right to feel the way you do. I am sure that when we get OT, I will feel the same way. We will never look at a simple cold, as simple, or a fever the same way. I think we will always be a little scared and we have the right to.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to my reg sights. But my compurter friends are never out of my mind. All of you keep up the great work, and try to enjoy the "normal" life.

Thoughts and prayers sent your way. Oh I think it was you who asked what we are having. They think it is a Boy.

A big hug for you tonight Jennifer. I can understand completely all the feelings you are having and my heart goes out to you. You know there are so many of us out here that love you and your family and continue to hold you up to our Father in prayer. I am so thankful that Jackson is in remission and has finished his chemo. I join you in holding on to the hope, and believing that your lives will now go on and you will find out what "normal" is again, never to have it taken from you again.
Give both your sweet boys a hug for me and KNOW that you are loved and thought of often.

(www.caringbridge.org/mo/jacobrudisaie) Two weeks ago today the doctors said we may only have two weeks left with our son but he's still going strong even though we have stopped all treatment. May the Lord be with you now and always and we feverently pray that Jackson stays in remission.

Jennifer, I just stopped by on my daily check of things and now I have tears in my eyes. You and your family have touched my life in a special way and I imagine we'll stay in touch long after Jackson has grown up and has children of his own (by then, I'll be a really old FairyGodmother...lol). I'm so glad you are saving all these messages for him when he is older. God has blessed you with two precious sons and I know everyone who reads your journals joins me in thanking you for sharing them with us.
I am so excited that Jackson is almost done with all his chemo and the shots. We are going to think positive thoughts and continue to hold Jackson up to God in prayer.
Again, thank you so much for your kind words. It's always an honor and my pleasure to visit here, being welcomed by such a sweet smiling face.

Hi Jackson and Jennifer,

I laughed out loud when I read about the Cal King mattress, and how you might as well be comfortable. We had to do the same thing recently, and that was our exact thoughts. Cheyenne is the baby in the family and the last in the house. She has her own bathroom that we just decorated, and 2 bedrooms. Guess where she sleeps? Yep, in our new King bed. And I don't think anyone has ever used her bathroom. Ha. Oh Well!!

God Bless you all. Have a Great Day tomorrow..

Hi Jackson and Jennifer,
Thanks for visiting Krissi's site. You are such a little cutie. and doing so well. Jennifer, I had the same knowing about krissi's diagnosis. I knew it was leukemia befor the docs told me. In fact I knew something was going to happen to her years ago. I dont know how to explain it. it must be mother's intuition. I'm glad Jackson is doing so well and we will keep you in ours nightly prayers.

Jackson..what a cute boy you are!
I read the journal history your mom has kept and I have to agree...sometimes you just have a feeling about things. By reading about you and looking at your picture I get the same "peaceful" feeling that I get when I think about my son's future too! That must mean that you, as well as my son, are going to make it through this journey and come out on the otherside a person who has a very special place in the world. You will grow up to do great things!

Hi Jackson and Mom. Thank you visiting Megan's site. She loves hearing from people from different parts of the country. Megan also has High Risk ALL, she's classified High Risk because of her old age (10 at dx) and the fact she took 28 days to go into remission. The old lady is now 11 and is still in remission. She began Maintenance 2 weeks ago. Jackson, you're a beautiful little boy. I can see by your smile how happy you are and why your nurses call you lightbulb. I've always called my Meg my Sunshine for the same reason. God Bless, Sue G.

Hi Jennifer!
Thank you so much for signing our guestbook. I am sooooo very inspired by your story. What an incredible baby Jackson is. When we were waiting for the final word to confirm Leukemia, I remember thinking "it can't be Noah because he is the sweetest, most compassionate and tender little toddler I have ever seen". Then it occurred to me that these little children who face such challenges usually are the most amazing kids! Clearly, Jackson is one of God's most precious children, put on this earth to be the light you described. I had just finished posting a somewhat cynical journal entry when I found your guestbook note. My whole mood has changed after visiting your site. I may have to re-post. :o) Thanks for sharing. We will keep your family in our prayers.

I'm bringing you a big hug this morning and I hope your day is filled with lots of those precious smiles. Maybe you and Jordan can have some fun playing hide and seek.
Jennifer, you're doing a wonderful job with both your boys. I know it must be difficult for Jordan to watch his little brother be sick. The message you posted for him was so sweet. Things like that will comfort him and help him to get through these times.
