So glad to see the update and that Fraser is going well. Both Bailey and Fraser have grown so much since we met. I'm glad to say Christopher is also going well. He is now in Yr 12, studying hard, has his drivers license and after a long battle to get medical clearance is having flying lessons. He has just passed the theory exam and will do the flight test in a few weeks. Apparently he is a natural. Mitchell has grown so much and is into everything sport, music, drama you name it. I hope everything continues to go well for Fraser and the rest of the family. Best wishes.

Fraser looks great in the pics. I'm so glad he is going well. Christopher is also going well. Since recovering from the surgery in Dec 05 he has not had any further problems. His personality returned to what it was prior to the problems 5 years earlier. He is a happy young man again (now 16 and almost 6ft) - not the miserable person he had become. We couldn't be happier. Mitchell says to say hello to Bailey.

Hi it's Jay and his mum darlsy - sorry we have not dropped in sooner had a lot on. Decisions are hard to make - Jay had his tumor wrapped enitirely around every part of his spinal cord, it was a mess - he lost the use of his leg and arm - I did not want the radiation for JAY - I have my reasons, he had very agressive chemotherapy (Adult doses) and steroids - they removed in a very risky op what they could around Jays spine & chest & abdomen - he still has mass which sits on his spine but he walks, runs, plays, rides bikes - so all i am saying is that doctors are not always right in what they say and you go with what you believe is the right thing to do - they told me Jay would never walk again (yea right). Fraser is doing a great job, and if you always stay strong and positive things always turn out. Jay sends lots of his strength and courage to Fraser and a BIG KOALA HUG.

Hi there from the coast of California. I feel for you guys while you make hard decisions. I know exactly how that feels. My daughter, Justina, had neuroblastoma 2A at the age of 19 months. Although, my daughter had a rare accompanying disease that comes with 1 percent of NB. She had an immune system that attacked her cancer but, also attacked her brain, essentially it wanted to kill her brain as if it were tumor. While she never did have any progression she did have a tumor that couldn't be completely removed. We opted for aggressive treatment for the cancer and the autoimmue disease. This included 12 rounds of high dose cytoxin and followed by a stem cell transplant (her own cells). It wasn't until we did the transplant that her tumor (and her other disease) were finally put into remission.
Our children are very different and all kids have different responsives but, I feel leaving tumor behind could be dangerous. BUT, you need to follow your gut!!!! Mommy can usually always figure out what's going on with your child. Maybe a change in chemo, maybe direct chemo to the tumor, transplant.... there are options out there and you can take the opportunity to find them. Have you ever had online/phone consultation in the states. Money is a horid barrier to our children's health but, I have heard of miracle surgeries on children that were flat out told there was NO way to do surgery. The doctor's name is Dr. Laguardia ( or something like that he's in New york and members on the NB are very familiar with him.
I'm sending happy healthy thoughs your way. Your fraser has the most amazing smile and I can feel his spirit through his eyes.
So kick cancer's butt to oblivion.

Hope Bailey had a great birthday - they grow up too quickly. We had appt with Christopher's Perth based Neuro last Wed but unfortunately he was quite pessimistic about C's surgery - we thought he would be pleased that C is doing so well. I hope your scans come out ok, I hate waiting, I just had my MRI we got a sort of result but not a proper one which we are waiting on as well. It is hard to tolerate that horrible chemo but you are a strong little man and a great fighter. I wanted to wish you all the best for Christmas and hope it is hospital free for you.
