So many great memories of Tony & Chip ~ the fantastic Brothers Kinman ~ at the Masque ~ so many clubs & so much time as we were young & free & ferocious & had a lot to say ~ whether playing or in the audience Club 88 Baces Hall Starwood Cathay De Grande Hong Kong Cafe Larchmont Hall ~ or the punk rock riot @ the Elks Lodge ~ wherever the wind blew the "original 100 punks" it was always a blast~ the Dils were West Coast frontrunners w/scathing short but sweet fiery & succinct & wild anti-societal musical statements full 'o' wrath & humor ~ Tony & Chip created so many amazing bands together Rank & File & Cowboy Nation & Blackbird & never stopped breaking ground & doing music they loved ~ So glad to hear Tony is looking at trees & listening to birds & smelling comforting food & surrounded by loved ones ~ Truly ~ Tony will be dearly missed & never forgotten <3

Thank you for those beautiful words. I have an indelible image of Tony holding the reins of a horse in a frezzing blizzard while a cabin in the distance twinkles with a warm glowing light (2 miles from town). His words and depth of honesty in his voice painted wonderful imagery and sung with such warmth, soul and love...this can never be taken away. God speed to everyone.

Tony - you're a brave man - a strong man - thank you for loving your family, for loving the creative process of making music, and then sharing it with us. Godspeed - we will see you on the other side! Tim White (Fundamental Records)

I only really spent a day or two really talking to Tony, when Cowboy Nation played the Parkside and Chip and Tony, stayed at my house. Those days stand out in my memory, what a wonderful guy.

My wife Cori and I are sending our love and support (and Reiki from Cori) to Tony and to all of you. Lots of love from Canada and Thank You so much for all of the wonderful music that you've given us fans over the years! I've been listening to nothing but Rank & File, Dils, Blackbird and FDMDXD driving to and from work lately. Thank you Tony. Thank you Chip <3

I know it's been a long time, but I often look back on my time in LA and think of Tony. We lost touch, then I moved (to Carlsbad!). Nothing but great memories. Mucho Love, ~Mike Palm

You will always be an inspiration to me and served to guide my music to this day. We share many memories of the days back in San Francisco. The world truly has been made a better and more interesting place having you grace it. Your will always be on my thoughts in and my prayers.

Thank you for sharing, Lisa. I have never met your brother-in-law and only saw him play with Blackbird decades ago but, of course I have been affected by his art like so many others, and feel even closer after getting to know you and Chip. Sending big hugs to the family and blasting music by the Brothers Kinman right now... xoxoxo
