In 1958 I moved to Hallock to teach. There I met Nancy Berg. She was so smart, so full of questions. She'd range from the existence of God through Shakespeare to my high heels. When I left Hallock, I encouraged her to come along and get a summer job n Medora. She did. we stayed in touch . She did so much good in this world. Tom was the perfect husband for her. May she be happy in a place of questions and answers. May she always be smiling.

Jenny and Tom, I am sorry to hear about your mothers passing. I first met your mother last September while moving my mother into (1st floor) Willows. My mother was nervous, uncertain and unfamiliar about her new settings at Willows (as I was) but your mom welcomed my mom and invited mine to join her and Margaret to their table to eat and that was it...what a God-sent! They ate together often, attended their exercise class and activities together or sat near each other. I'll remember your mothers smile when I'd visit my mom and your mom would always say hello, She was so welcoming. I am grateful that their lives crossed. I am truly sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace. Your family is in our prayers. Keep me posted. Take care.

We met Nancy and Tom at the Willows. She became good friends with Bill's mother, Rita. Rita and Nancy spent a lot of time together talking, sitting outside in the garden and watching TV in Rita's room before Rita passed away. They each found a lot of comfort in having a friend who could carry on an interesting conversation. We enjoyed visiting with Nancy and could clearly see she was a special person who had led a significant life. Love to her family and friends.

Tom and Jen, so sorry to hear of Nancy’s death. We had so much fun growing up together in tiny Hallock, knowing one another’s families and getting into mischief. The stories she could (and did) tell! She never lost that little twinkle in her eye...and she was there when I needed help.

I only met Nancy Coleman once but she made a big impression! She was very excited to meet my baby chickens and, when she did, they flew right into her lap. My chicks didn't exhibit this trust with anyone except their caretakers... except Nancy. Even they knew she was special.

Holding out our best thoughts for Nancy's family at her loss. I cannot tell you how many times Nancy just made my day! Her delight in the kids, her sense of wonder and artful soul, her wisdom concern and candor, all made her a remarkable person. I loved how she'd wax romantic sometimes, too. We were so lucky to have our time with her.
In gratitude for her life,
Heid & family

Jenny, Tomkin and Julie, I'm both saddened for your loss of the physical presence of your dear, fun Mom , but also amazed and amused that good ol' Nancy was in charge after all! She chose the best day, the day of Resurrection, celebrated all over the world to go home to her beloved Tom and to God Who is Love. Finally relieved of her pain and anxiety, now she can dance and sing and laugh to her hearts' content. Let us celebrate what a gift she and Tom have been to each of us. And may you feel the comfort of all your loving friends' arms around you as you cope with your loss. Much love, Jeannie ps. Please keep me on your list.

We are so sad to hear the news of the loss of our Dear Friend, fellow Benedictine Oblate and Christ the King Catholic Church parishioner, Nancy Coleman on this Easter Sunday morning.
May she be reunited with her husband, Tom in heaven and be forever surrounded by angels.

Nancy was playful, prayerful, devoted to friends and family, and always joyful.
