Welcome to Tahlia’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportTime for a loooong overdue update! Tahlia has been doing great these past many weeks. Several weeks ago, she and I both ended up with a yucky little head cold. Thankfully, after consulting with her doctors over the phone, we were able to handle it completely at home! I feel like that is a huge win for her.
Tahlia has been growing like a weed- she has gained over 4 pounds since coming home! Still short though… But she is also hitting her 4 month developmental milestones like a champ. She can roll herself out of tummy time at will. She can hold onto toys and bring them to her mouth, and she thinks our entryway light fixture is just the funniest thing she has ever seen. She is also getting more tolerant of light, which has made going outside with her a little easier.
Tahlia will be having her g-tube surgery this week, so prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery would be greatly appreciated. During the surgery, they will also do a direct laryngoscopy/bronchoscopy to try to figure out why she still can’t swallow safely.
Finally, Tahlia has some big news: she is going to be a big sister in January! This is very unexpected for us, but we are so excited for a second baby. We are praying that this pregnancy goes much more smoothly than the last one. So far things are already looking better than they were by this point with Tahlia, so we are hopeful.
