Well reported and said Marilee. Thank you for theses posts. The tribute to Steve was special - and honoring of his life and impact. Maggie and kids were awesome. I am honored and blessed to have had Steve impact my life since 1978 and his impact and influence on me will live on.

Thank you for your updates throughout. The service was a beautiful tribute to Steve. He was such a dedicated and loving shepherd to our flock. To see Maggie up there with the five kids was a blessing. The Lord has given them strength in the midst of their grief. Sending my love and prayers to Maggie and the whole family.

Thank you Marilee for doing an amazing job of keeping all of us informed. I felt my prayers and thoughts of Steve were more on target after reading your updates. I am sorry I couldn't be at the service but am holding all of the Marshall family in my heart and continued prayers to find their way thru the grief of being without their "Special Person" here in this life. I know Steve lives on in their hearts and souls and thru his service to others. What a blessing he was to all of us.

Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for all the kind words and for spearheading this entire Caring Bridge story. It truly helped those of us who are far away but still knew Steve and loved his family. -Kris Kellar Kahle (childhood friend)

Merilee, thank you for always keeping your posts honest, sometimes difficult to read without tears, and always from the heart. For those of us out of the area, you have been our lifeline and for that, I am so grateful. The service was beautiful, Maggie is possibly the strongest woman I have ever met. It was remarkable to see all the kids and hear their heartfelt words about their Dad. A bit thank you to all of them for sharing their dad with us. Steve truly did show everyone the Father’s love by the way he lived and nurtured relationships.

I too am so proud of Maggie and the strength she walked in yesterday. I keep seeing in my mind Maggie at the podium with the five grown kids behind her. It was such a beautiful picture. The sharing they all did was a gift to us all. The video was so touching. Seeing Steve as a child was precious. Walking through hard things is hard. To have someone you have known for over 40 leave this Earth....I am grateful to have heaven to look forward to. Love to Maggie, Jessica, Bobby, Abby, Allen, and Teddy. We all loved your Dad!! Thanks for sharing him with us.
