Oh, Stephen, What a relief it was to hear from you today and know that things are looking up, due to your
own positive personality and your drawing out your attenders with such genuine interest and care. Everyone
needs to know they are being appreciated for their gifts and their skills. You are an inspiration to the rest
of us, as usual!!!!!!!! Tom and continue to pray for you daily. Love, Sue

Speaking if "hunks" reminded me of the time Carl Magruder was in hospital recovering from a motorcycle accident and his Dad and I visited. Man every female staff person in the place kept making excuses to stop by and check on him! Not all of us get that kind of attention in such circumstances. Love you,

Stephen, I am so glad to hear that you are in a better room -- with a view, no less :) It makes such a difference. When I was in a SNF, I made a habit of raiding the snack table so I would nave something to eat after they served dinner too early and before the breakfast they served too late. No veggie choices, though -- pudding, cookies, breakfast bars, sometimes fruit.

I worked a bit in my garden yesterday. I spent more time pulling weeds than anything else, but I did a last harvest of Meyer lemons. the new blossoms are opening and sticking my head in the branches to get at the last of the lemons was an olfactory heaven. And there were a multitude of honey bees enjoying the nectar -- I was glad to see so many and very cautious about my movements.

We had very heavy rains over the weekend and my roofer was supposed t o start on Tuesday but he did not show up. No sign of him yet this morning. Better call and see what is happening.

Holding your smiling, biking image in the aLight,

Julie

Hey, Stephen. So good of you to keep the rest of us up to date while you've got so much on your plate now! When I broke a bone in my hand, I went to the guy I was told was the best hand guy in Portland. I was also warned he had no bedside manner. None is an understatement! I learned after the surgery that the hand clinic where he sent me for therapy actually stationed one of their OT's at his office one day a week, so I scheduled my follow ups with the surgeon for days I knew the OT would be there. She sat in on meetings, and literally translated for me what he was saying. More than once she would actually chase him down the hall to get the answers to my questions. BUT, my hand is fine. I guess we have to put up with these docs who think they have better things to do than actually related to patients. Love to you, Cousin Terry

We need a large poster of your strategy for endearing people! It absolutely works.
You are certainly kept busy & it seems very well taken care of, though I'd find it very frustrating not to know the results of the biopsy yet. Sorry I've lost (in my world of less memory), where are you? UCSF?
Sending good thoughts.
