Dear Father, I’m reading about you for the first time on Father’s Day. What a gift you spiritual fathers are to the world!
I go to Adoration each week from 4-5 AM and the Lord has spoken some beautiful things to me during those quiet times. I’ve lifted up loved ones. I’ve laid intentions and sorrow a d struggles at the pierced feet of Jesus. Sometimes I’ve simply sat there and cried. Or smiled. And He has taken it all into His Immaculate Heart.
Tomorrow I will offer my time with Jesus for you, Father Ryan. Suffering is indeed a mystery, but the older I get, the more I see the beauty in it. United with Jesus, all suffering can bring love into the world. God bless you and heal you! Happy Father’s Day!

Dear Fr. Ryan, Thank you so much for sharing your journey . Your testimony gave me hope and strength to embrace our cross according to God’s will.
My husband Daniel Brochu has been battling a metastasized prostate cancer. He goes to MDAnderson too. He turned 75 last June 16. His prostate cancer was diagnosed 2001. He had prostatomy. He was in remission . Then in 2010, MRI showed brain tumor mass and recurrence of prostate cancer . Six months later, brain tumor miraculously disappeared.
Since 2010 to the present time , he has been going different treatments, radiation , chemo. , etc.
Finally in Nov. 2020, all treatments had to stopped because it is no longer working and cancer is spreading to different organs.
Then last week, MDAnderson informed him that he is qualified for a trial study treatment. In spite of the advance stage of his cancer , he agreed to participate in this trial study.
Fr Ryan, as I read your story, my heart is so heavy with pain for (even just as a caregiver to my husband’s terminal illness), I have seen and have experienced the pains, side effects, emotional challenges of what you are going through .
Fr. Ryan , I will be placing you at the foot of Christ cross daily when praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy .
Please pray for my husband Daniel Brochu.

God bless you Fr. Ryan. Anything I write may sound trite but this journey you are on and all that you share reminds me that you are not walking this journey alone. My prayers are lifted for you, your family, your medical team, your friends. May you continue to touch lives and share this Christian journey along with your care❤
