Sign In to Show Your SupportHappy New Year! I can’t tell you how happy I am to type that. It is a HAPPY new year! Mom gave us a scare on Friday evening. She was admitted into the hospital after we went to the ER for severe stomach pain. Enteritis and some GI issues caused this. After she got some fluids, meds and some food to agree with her, she was permitted to leave. I had her home by 6pm last night and she got right on to making our filets. Super hero doesn’t even come close to describing her. I genuinely struggle finding the right words to describe how I feel about my mom and how much I admire her strength and will to keep going. Hospital visits are no fun, as we learned in 2021. This was a much quicker visit. Thankfully!
She had her 59th chemo treatment on 12/13 and attempted her 60th last week, but was unable to complete due to low platelets. Honestly, it’s becoming more concerning that getting the chemo is becoming such an ongoing issue. She has started the new treatment plan that I shared in my last post, and it appears to be tolerable. There’s some muscle aches and pains. But the tummy issues aren’t too bad (most of the time).
It has been nearly 3 years since her diagnosis and we continue to fight and be positive and most importantly, appreciate every day. Things can always be better, and the can most definitely always be worse.
Thank you for the continued prayers and support. 💜 Have a happy and healthy 2023!
