I met Ron in 1996 as a 14 year old trying to get my first pheasant. I attended a Pheasants Forever youth event at Lone Oak farm and hunted behind a beautiful german shorthaired pointer named Blitz. I did in fact get my first bird after missing quite a few, but enjoyed walking and talking with the dogs owner even more! Fast forward 10 years, STILL being in school at OSU I met Ron again as he volunteered his time to teach a gaggle of college kids how to shoot skeet. In 2007 the Indians were on their playoff stint against the Yankees and we sat cheering together with Ron and his grandson. Ron was a good human being who shared his time and knowledge, I will miss him!

Peg, we can't imagine how difficult the time since mid 2019 has been for you and Ron. We are sad that you had so much loss and heartache throughout that time. We are grateful for the love that you had for each other. We wish we had known Ron better. He was obviously pretty special. Praying for you and family.

Peg, I was so sorry to read this and I am sorry for all of our loss! I remember Ron with such fondness as a kid! He always had a great smile and as everyone else has said, good humor. :) I wanted to bring Aunt Beverly to see him this spring. She will be so sorrowful to hear this news. Take care of you! We love you in the Rhoades family! :)

My heart aches for you. You gave Ron the gifts of love and gentle care. He knew and loved you for that. No spouse could ask for more than you gave because you loved him so much.
