We are making great progress in ICU. Working with infectious disease to come up with a plan for six weeks of multiple IV antibiotics. You read that right - SIX WEEKS. 

Of course we do not want to be hospitalized that entire duration so the plan is for Nicholas to get a central line and set up home healthcare to administer the IV antibiotics with appropriate blood work. 

Please continue prayers toward that goal. I have learned a very important fact these past couple of weeks:

ADHD + HOSPITALS DO NOT MIX WELL

When we checked out of our hospital in Houston, we tried to commemorate this achievement with a celebratory picture before leaving. We burst into laughter many, many times. After taking approximately 368 pictures, we finally got one where my son was not making a face of, “Really, Mom???”. Definitely an unexpected miracle. Even taking pictures with this boy is an adventure. I sure love this kid!

Thank you Lord for our Nicholas and the joy he brings to our life.
