Sign In to Show Your SupportDearest friends,
I am still in the hospital, with Sheyna now sitting next to me talking to her family in Israel. She's been here with me since Dec 22 and she goes back to Israel this Monday. She has been such an incredible godsend to me all this time. I've also had tremendous help from my stepdaughter Amber. Duncan is never far, in the house we've been renting since May which is about 25 minutes away, and of course he is here as much as possible.
Progress for me includes getting up out bed and sitting up in a chair for quite a few hours, with help from PT &/or OT. I'm able to take walks outside of my room, also with help, for short distances, and can be wheeled to a sunroom. Days often include streams of medical appointments, conversations w/ many different sorts of "providers" (of what, now, one has to wonder). The tumors I'm most aware of push down on my nerves in left shoulder & neck so that I have very little use of my left arm, which is a big challenge. I'm on various pain meds, including morphine. The goal is to get me strong enough to withstand some chemo again, to stop the growing cancer tumors. They want to get me into some different facility.
That's all for today. Love to you all -- Rebecca
