Welcome to Petra’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportWe have many things to be thankful for this year, and we're especially thankful that Petra has just received a clean bill of health. Her bone marrow biopsy results are in and the doctors say that she is cured of her leukemia. Moving forward, she will have monthly check-up visits to monitor her blood levels and to make sure that she's not having a relapse.
There's no doubt that our family has all been through a lot these past six months, and we've got some relearning to do as we are finally back together again as a complete family unit. Right now we're just thankful to be on the other side of this thing, and our hearts are with the families that are still in the thick of things back at Doernbecher. Remember them in your prayers.
Listen, I'm here to tell you that there is absolutely no way that we could have successfully navigated this experience without God's help. He provided for us, guided us, and gave us hope through the dark and lonely times. I would like to take this oppotunity to appeal to whomever is reading this: Please! Give your life wholly to Him today! People and situations will let you down. God will never let you down. Even though situations may not be going how you would wish, if you look, you can find His purposes in it for your good.
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6
We would like to once again thank everyone who helped us, prayed for us, brought us food, sent us money, watched our children, sent us gifts, and so much more. You were the hands and feet of God to us. God bless you all for your generousity!
This will most likely be our last post on here, Lord willing.
