April 15th Hello Oliver. Thinking of you and your family as the snow is falling on this use to be tax day pre Covid19. I hope that Cady got home safely and quarantine was successful. Where have been out walking in the interesting weather? I ventured to your neighborhood the other day as an alternative to my usual CH walk. The neighborhood paths are very interesting and I discovered the labyrinth at St. Catherines. Daffodils to you. Love bunches.
Oliver, I just now read your journal entry of three weeks ago and am holding you in the light. Your dear mom tells me your are surrounded by family and are doing what brings you joy - such as long walks - 9 miles the other day. May you continue to walk in the light.
Oliver,
Although I haven't received such a succinct prognosis, I'm not doing at all well, either. I totally understand your decision, and if told the same thing, would make the same decision. You are lucky to still be able to take walks outside. Savor every moment. I hope spring hurries its arrival. My best to all of you. Love, Norma
Dear Oliver,
What a brave man you are and what a model of how to live! I’ve been thinking a lot about you and your family. Although I’m sequestered in my home a lot, I do take walks with friends (keeping distance). I’d love to connect with you (and Amelia too!). I hope this gets to you. My number is 277-1620 (or we could just chat!) if you wish.
Oliver, we are so sorry to hear this difficult news but appreciate your courage and honesty in sharing it. We're sending our love, support and prayers to you, Amelia, Peter and Cady. We know you'll all make the most of and treasure every moment together, as you always have. A model for us all. Peace and love from the Sipples
I am so very sorry that you have received such bad news. You were doing so well after everything that you have gone through. My heart aches for you and your family. Through everything, you've demonstrated such strength, confidence, compassion, and positiveness. You have become an icon of perseverance for me. If there's anything you need or anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. My prayers are with you and your family as you maneuver these troubled waters.
Oliver, I enjoyed our conversations and time together in the strength and mobility class at CRC. I was so sorry to hear this news. Sending you strength of body and spirit.
Oliver, your courage and levelheadedness through this whole journey have been truly inspirational. You were always so incredibly helpful and kind whenever our paths crossed at Cornell. I am sure your remarkable courage will continue to be a source of strength for you and your family.
Oliver, we’re so sorry to hear this news, and sad that we can’t gather with you and Amelia during this time. Wishing you both some good, long walks, fresh air, and peace.
Gretchen and Leah
