Today Mark gets another round of IV chemo. Please pray that he tolerates it well and remains in overall good health. We praise God that all this cancer treatment is keeping the cancer in remission!
After the chemo a few months ago, he began feeling sick with a variety of symptoms, including pink eye, a sinus infection, ear infection, fevers and so on. He would seem to get better and then get something else, along with another fever. Thankfully his doctor ran a plethora of tests and it was found that he had a potentially dangerous bacteria (Haemophilus Influenzae) which most people’s bodies can fight off themselves, but not the very young and/or immunocompromised. With a round of strong and specific antibiotics, he is feeling much better. Please pray that this bacteria is eradicated from his body and doesn’t resurge after this round of chemo. I can’t help but think about the fact that there are so many viruses and bacterium that seem like they’d re trying to harm all of us (especially after all we’ve been through with covid)! Thank God that he has made our bodies such that we can fight off so many things without even knowing it’s happening.
And thank God for you, who continue to pray throughout this long cancer journey Mark is on.
