Sign In to Show Your SupportGood Morning Everyone, Here I am filling you all in on my scan which I had on Thursday, also the visit with my Oncologist the following morning.
Obviously my abdomen is very photogenic not like my face, as the pictures of the scan came out so beautifully, 😀 The Oncologist came in and greeted us as usual, asked how I was feeling, then told Jim and myself that everything was looking good, and I am CANCER FREE! Needless to say, I cried.
Happy tears of course, especially for Jim, our family and friends who have been on this long journey with me. Without all the prayers, supportive messages, phone calls comforting me, lots of cards, flowers and gifts, this journey would have been much more difficult. I am truly blessed and so thankful.
I still have a few side effects troubling me from the chemo, however they should disappear in the next 4-5 weeks. I believe that I can manage that. Also, I have to have an appt. with the Genetics department, have a blood test to see if I have the Marker. That will be in a couple of weeks. Positive or not, I will have to take medication. It is not chemo, 👏👏
I must not forget my Cancer Care Team who have cared for me through my ups and downs . They are the best, always showing such love and compassion for their cancer patients. They are heaven sent. Some of them came out to see me and were so happy to hear my great news. Their arms outstretched, wanting to hug me and I them. Of course, not allowed.
I guess this is my farewell post. Thank you all for reading my weekly ramblings, and posting such endearing and warm hearted posts. They have uplifted me, and encouraged me to keep on fighting my cancer, You helped me WIN THE BATTLE.
