To everyone on CaringBridge, a friend just contacted me and on Laura Goodwin's page on Facebook she announced about an hour ago that she had passed over to be with Jim.
So sorry for the loss of your mom, Maggie. I worked with your mom in Wayne-Westland , and I can tell you she loved you , her family, very much, just by the way she shared her stories about all of you. She was a very loving person who always tried hard to look at the brighter and lighter sides of things. I remember her saying,”well I guess that is what we’ll do.” The kids at school loved her. I remember when she taught kindergarten and the kids were all around her in her rocking chair. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. ❤️
What a very difficult decision for all of you. I knew your mother as a young, vibrant woman. She was one of my closest friends in high school. I had an opportunity to visit with her a few months after your father passed. She missed him terribly. Take comfort in knowing they will be together and that she impacted so many lives. To me, she will always be the funny, bright 17 year old I shared so much with as our lives started. Peace be to her and to each of you, her proudest accomplishment. Love, Barb LaBranche
What courage and strength you all have to honor your mother as you have. She’s with your Dad, and has found her peace. I’ll miss Maggie and her weekly visits, and her friendly greetings. She was a beautiful soul who deeply loved her family. May God bless you and lift you up as you move through the next few weeks and months to come.

Dear Loved Ones,
Judy and I send our most heartfelt condolences to all of you in the passing of your mom. It took so much courage and strength to make the decision you had to make today. She will truly be missed by her family and her many friends. A wonderful and caring person who made a tremendous impact on so many during her short stay with us. She was loved by us all and we pray for her happiness as she joins Jim in heaven with the Lord. God bless all of you. Mike and Judy Hurley
So well written. We are so very sad to hear that she is not doing better. We know how important her family is to her and you are proven to be a very caring family.
