Maggie, I have a huge lump in my throat, after reading the most recent update. It does seem that God is calling you home. Your children have made a very brave decision today. I just want you to know how much your friendship means to me. Our Lord works in very mysterious ways. We long to be with Him and be free of earthly restraints, especially pain. I am so grateful we were able to hug each other a couple of weeks ago. As your Heavenly Home beckons, know that Jim will be waiting for you. Both of you raised wonderful children and your grandchildren will carry your torch. Joe & I send our love, peace and comfort.
It might be helpful if your children gather around you and recite the Rosary. Maybe she has some special songs that will also wrap her soul in a warm blanket. I will miss my dear friend but, I know that this was in God’s hands and she will be with her Jim. She leaves us with so much....her words and kindness will always be in our hearts. She was one of the most compassionate people I know.
She was so proud of her kids and I know that you will always remain close as a family through the good and challenging times of life. She loved that you were a close family.

This is the most difficult decision that a family has to make. I know that you have made it from a place of knowledge, caring and love. Thank you. Maggie was a courageous woman. She loved you all with everything she had and was so proud of the adults that you have become. We have been friends through thick and thin. I have so many memories of her and of you all. However, I find solace knowing that she is at peace now. I love you all.💖
