Hello everyone, thanks for the messages and prayers! The girls loved reading them!
We got here around 8 this morning and things have all gone smoothly.
1:30 pm- The neurosurgeon just came and talked to us about Molly. She is back in recovery right now, surgery went well. Two of Molly’s screws had come completely loose and were causing the bone to rub against her muscles which was causing the back pain she’s been having. He had to shave some of the bone (spinal process) down as well. She has 6 staples that will come out in 2-3 weeks.
3:00- Doctor came back and said Madelyn’s surgery went well too. He was a bit surprised that each one of her 8 screws had come loose and she also had a small piece of bone floating around with the screws. She has more staples than Molly since her scar was larger but overall everything looks good!
They are enjoying lots of popsicles, snuggles and snacks☺️❤️
We will be here until their pain is well managed but will discharge today sometime.
