Journal
Mom was sent to Presbyterian Village North in Dallas last Thursday, Oct. 17th. They are providing her skilled nursing and therapy services. We have been really impressed with the level of care at Presbyterian Village and are so grateful to all of the nurses, therapists, and doctors.
Current Condition:
We have seen mom continue to decline over this past week. Doctors have told us that she is not going to get any better. She is very weak and unable to walk, sit or stand without assistance. She struggles to talk, eat, drink and keep her eyes open. She is generally not interactive and is sometimes confused. She has been struggling with solid food, so they are giving her broth and ice cream. She is in constant pain and the doctors are working to keep her comfortable. Today, they decided to move to the Fentanyl patch.
We appreciate all of your prayers, love and support. Please reach out to me or David if you would like to come up to see her.
