Josh is in the hospital. He has had a recurrence at the site of his original tumor that is now causing a near complete obstruction (in layman’s terms: rectal tumor is blocking his pooper). Right now he has an NG tube to suction to decompress his stomach and intestines. He’s getting fluids and will get TPN soon. He can’t eat or drink anything. He needs surgery, but the timing and details are still a little fuzzy. Initially the plan was for a diverting colostomy on Monday, but he may need more time to allow for decompression and swelling to decrease. There’s been some talk of a stent. Hopefully we’ll know more tomorrow. Mav and I came to visit, with a surgery in the future Mav may not get to see Dada for a while.
