Dear Friends/Family❤️
I hesitated to post this picture of Jeff post surgery but I also appreciate authenticity. This is my miracle man. I don’t think if I was in his place I could be this strong. 
The surgery went very well though the surgeon said it was one of his most unusual cases. He had to do some “adjustments” to Jeff’s jaw bones to get the lower shape of Jeff’s jaw to fit the upper correctly. I am choosing my words carefully for those of you who are more sensitive. In addition to this the tongue fenulum had to be detached then reattached after the chin procedure. Ok not so sensitive there…Needless to say Jeff is very swollen and sore. Thankfully he has some great pain medication to help him. 
The surgery lasted less than we anticipated only three 1/2 hours. I continue to be amazed at the health care professionals that care for Jeff. I cannot imagine doing their jobs every day. I truly believe its a calling to tirelessly help people every day. 
Jeff is staying the night at the hospital which I am thankful for. He will be on a liquid diet for a while until his mouth heals. The Doctor will need to remove some screws in a few weeks. Both he and Jeff joked about going to the doctors house or him coming to ours to remove them since he lives around the corner from us😂
Also Jeff will not have his lower dentures for several months. After several months of healing Jeff looks forward to getting implants though that will be yet another surgery. Thank you Doctor Weber for your plan that Dr Desa carried out through the surgery. Without these Doctors working together this would not have been so successful. And a giant thank you to Tina our caseworker who got the surgery approved in an incredibly short period of time. God picked her just for us! Too much to explain in this message.
Today I received so many kind texts of encouragement and prayers. So so thankful beyond words. Very grateful for my Brother in law Neal coming to the hospital today. Though he always says “well he is my brother”. 😁And then one of our Pastors brought me lunch! Thank you Pastor Eric!
 It’s been a long day but I wanted to get everyone updated. Your prayers for healing are much needed and appreciated.
As Jeff and I said together this morning before he went into surgery “God is good all the time and all the time God is good!”🙌🏻🙏🏼❤️
