Sign In to Show Your SupportI had my last treatment yesterday. The 17th and last round of chemo. It all went well and I got a good nap afterwards.
I had my chemo port taken out today. There were no complications and I got to say goodbye to my port (aka, my little buddy). I was awake during the procedure, a local anesthetic is used to numb the area.
I am very glad to have all this behind me now and I can hopefully get back to normal. My poor finger and toe nails can't take much more of this, they are super brittle and one finger nail keeps peeling lower and lower. I will have follow up appointments with my oncologist. We met with her yesterday before treatment and she told me I will see her 4 more times over the next year just to check in on how I am doing.
I am so thankful for all the love and support you guys have given me and I am so appreciative of all the prayers/good wishes/good karma you have given me. I wish everyone good health and I really hope no one has to go through this (or through it again).
