When we pulled into the guarded entrance to the NIH campus this morning, the attendant asked what brought us in today. My answer elicited this excited proclamation from her “Two years scan!!!!! Ain’t God good!” He is indeed and I am overjoyed to tell you that my scan was clear!!!! Clear, clear, clear! There are (as always) some concerning symptoms, but whatever they are, it’s not cancer. There is no cancer here! And I don’t come back for another scan for 6 months. That’s almost incomprehensibly far away. What a gift! Thank you so much for your prayers. They truly keep me upright when the weight grows too heavy to bear alone.
I have so much more to share, but it will have to wait. Our oldest son, Jackson, graduates from high school this weekend and we head to the Blue Ridge School tomorrow for the festivities. There will be much to celebrate this weekend and hopefully next week I can share some of the things I’ve been reading/learning/thinking about these last several months.
