It is with heavy heart that I write this. I have lost my other half. Our fur babies do not understand other than they get to sleep with mom and look at dad's chair.
Gene's extended family as well as daughter Deb were able to be with him in the almost week following his emg surgery. He was getting better and then took a turn for the worse. I have had to make decisions based on discussions that we had over time and they were his wishes, He passed away peacefully on May 7,2018 at 9:30 p.m. with family at his side.
There is both a funeral with info on the Daniel funeral home web site and a Memorial Celebration that will take place later on June 23, 2018.
Thanks to all for comments and support it means a lot to me and he would be humbled if he was here and read them.
My heart goes out to Mary and the girls at this difficult time. There is a huge extended family sending love and hugs to you, and some brothers and sisters waiting up there to laugh again with Uncle Gene.

My dad passed away last night. Thank you all for your kind words. He was very special. One of a kind and we were all very blessed to know him. I will be praying for Mary to get through this. They were so close.
