Thank you for your words, Fr. Dave. Such a blessing to have you in our lives and for you to still be teaching us life's lessons and about the unfailing love and grace of God as you deal with your own struggles. The Holy Spirit is so amazing and so evident in your life!

I continue to feel so enriched, so blessed to be able to read your news, your reflections. Thank you again for sharing all of this with us. You are so very sincere, consistent, and giving with the love that pours forth from your messages. Thank God for blessing you with this sincerity, consistency, and insights, and thank you for writing all of this to us. I pray that the hard part of chemo is brief, and the good part effective and lasting.

I finally read The Brothers Karamazov a few months ago and found lots of insights for fruitful meditation. I'm edified by your example Fr. Dave as you so willingly lay your heart open to the graces made available at this difficult time. And I am smiling as I realize the truth in Dostoyevsky's words are lived out as we open our hearts to receive a share in those graces :)
I am praying for you in a special way today!

Admiring the drooping icy branches in my backyard this morning and thinking of how you must be feeling. Praying the ice melts from your limbs and you’re raising your arms with strength and warmth from the sun soon.

Have been reading the parable of the 'rich fool' who takes all the credit for his blessings and seeks to keep them for himself, not acknowledging that all is gift and from the Lord; gifts meant to be shared with all. Thank you for being so willing to share with us the many gifts you have been blessed with, especially the insights during this 'journey-time.' You're no fool! Blessings and continues prayers.
