I didn’t know Andrew as well as most of you, but I was always in awe of him since the first time we met at his house in Carrboro decades ago. Very sad to hear this news, and my love to all he left behind.

Saddened by this news but know he is at peace. The legacy he left will surely be a pathway for Cutlar and Alexander to follow.
You are all in my prayers....

I can only imagine the antics on the other side now that Andrew has joined the party. He was such a fun, positive, energetic and creative person. I'm honored to have known him. I didn't realize the end was near and I wish I had left him a fond farewell message. Maybe the Jampire homing device transcends this lifetime and we will all meet again someday :) Stewart, your strength and presence through all this has been amazing. I'm so sorry for your loss. Wishing you, the kids and your families a time of healing and renewal. I'll be with all of you in spirit on the 16th. <3

Andrew and Stewart were our landlords for the past 4 years of the sweetest home! Ben was the first one to meet Andrew at the house expressing our interest in renting it. We were young, a dating couple, with a dog. Normally, a landlord would question this living situation, but Andrew did not. He saw similarity in us that he had with Stewart and knew we were right for the home, and he was correct. I met Andrew on moving day. I will never forget him falling off the stoop because he was just so excited! He was way more excited about us moving in than we were, which over the years we could understand why. The home they owned for sure became our home. Andrew and Stewart trusted us in their home in a way that is hard to explain. They are the definition of real, good people and I think they can see that in so many other people. They wanted for us what they had for each other and I will always keep that close to my heart. I would love seeing Andrew out at places like Calico Room just by himself because he wanted to listen to a few songs live for the night. His excitement for life and his smile will never be forgotten. Ben and I feel lucky to have met him.

Andrew had an internal light (some would say fire) that few people are blessed with. Whether it was organizing a festival, a party or just a get together among friends, Andrew had a gift for bringing people together, both new friends and old. Many of my fond memories of undergrad involved something Andrew had planned, and I’m thankful to have shared in the many circles of great people he brought together. Thoughts and prayers to you and the fam.

Andrew was an amazingly brilliant person and had such passion. He was so many wonderful things and had countless positive attributes. The thing I will remember the most about Andrew was his love for his family. He was always beaming anytime his wife or children came up in conversation. He was an extremely proud husband and father. He will be dearly missed by so many. My deepest condolences go out to his family.

Even in the hospital, Andrew continued to touch lives. I know I personally felt moved and inspired by his love of his family, music and the selfless desire to bring a laugh or smile to others, regardless of how he was feeling. I feel so privileged and grateful to have met him and his amazing (and strong!) family. Praying for you all.

Thoughts and prayers have been with your family and will continue! I worked for Andrew back when it was the very first days of merging TGK. He was such a bright force, and I have several fond memories from those days. Condolences to you and your beautiful children!

I’m so sorry. I just saw this and am devastated by the news. Please know that my heart is with you during this terrible time. He was a truly wonderful guy and he will forever be in my happy memories. Andrew and I met at LOCK’N the very first year and shared a love for music and laughter that will always stay with me.
My sincere condolences to Andrew’s friends and family.
Rest In Peace my brother Andrew,
Macon
