I knew Andrew as an affable friend during my time at UNC Chapel Hill. I can picture him now with his long blonde ponytail and easy smile. He worked at Breadman's for a time, serving up breakfast and, I can imagine, making everyone laugh. He loved to regale in live music concerts and his easy going demeanor was truly a gem. He did care about friends and community and it is heartening to learn about all that he has accomplished and that he has raised a wonderful family and found the love of his life. I am so sorry to hear this news. I will treasure my memories of Andrew forever.

Oh Stewart, I am so so sorry about this and heartbroken. Andrew was such a force and a connection between so many people. I was lucky to have him as a friend in college and was always so happy to see him succeed. I will be thinking about you and your family.

Love, light and peace to the whole family. Andrew will be missed by so many...because he made such a point of making great memories wherever he went. From the moment I met him back in ‘96 to the last time we got to hang out up in the balcony at DPAC - so many good times! We know Andrew’s at peace now, and I hope you all will find peace in your own time. Look forward to big hugs soon!

Andrew leaves behind an incredible legacy of good times, great stories and deep connections with people that few can achieve.
He was already a legend when he arrived in Chapel Hill and we met in the mid 90's and continued to build and build on it through each phase in life. So thoroughly himself. So very many ideas. Most good. :-) What a guy. All the best to you Stewart.

Andrew and I were classmates in the UNCW MBA program. Andrew was such a wonderful, amazing human being,. He was intelligent, thoughtful, articulate, and kind. He treated everyone with respect and kindness, regardless of race or gender. He left an impression on veryone who met him. The world has lost a great man!
