Hey everyone, this is Estelle's  (the Princess') sister Penni.

After some rough times and lots of thought and tears, Estelle has decided it's time to enter hospice. She will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow and go home with comfort meds and those she loves.

I apologize to those of you who are learning of this through this post. I know it's a hard way to find it out and I apologize. If you know Estelle/Princess you know she is deeply loved by many. This is the hardest thing her family including extended family has had to deal with and our reserves are low for communication. We (including Estelle/Princess)greatly appreciate your love, support, and concern during this time.

We also recognize many of you want to do something, whether it's a visit, a card, or flowers.

Estelle/Princess has requested no more cards and no flowers. If this changes, I promise I'll let you know. But during these emotional times they are more difficult to look at than comforting. Thanks for honoring her requests about this. She knows you love her and appreciates the cards you sent in the past.

Also, understandably, many of you want to come visit to offer help, support, express your love, etc. While we greatly appreciate the outpouring, please recognize there is a lot going on and a lot for Sal, Estelle/Princess and her caretakers to manage. We are asking that you not come to visit unless it's been specifically cleared with someone. Again, we know how hard this is and why you want to come. We do, and we appreciate it. However, it's a lot to manage. We know you don't want to create more stress than we are all undergoing. So, please, ensure your visit is convenient and scheduled. By honoring this request you are demonstrating your love and respect towards Estelle/ Princess and Sal during this difficult time. Many of us are used to Estelle/Princess and Sal's warm hospitality and please understand why it's not being extended during this time. I know there will be a time when Sal will appreciate your visits, but we are not there right now.
