Sign In to Show Your SupportDavid has been feeling pretty awful for several weeks now and as I posted last week he made the decision last Sunday to go off of his latest chemotherapy medicine. Today he decided to no longer continue receiving blood transfusions, and tomorrow he will go into Hospice care. It has not been an easy decision to make. As anyone who knows him knows, he does not give up easily. or quickly. But there comes a time when you realize that hanging on is not what you can make yourself do anymore.
He has lived his life with an intense intent to help others, be kind to others, and do the best he can with all of the integrity he can muster. I am sure that he will live out his final days doing the same.
We have been blessed. The words to this song have been going through my mind and heart frequently the past few days.
