It's been over a year since transplant! That's a big one. I still do blood tests in town every two weeks but other than that the doctors only need two see me once a month.
My last appointment went well. They are doubling the dose of my chemo pill now that they know I don't seem to have any side effects. My old one messed with my liver so they are being cautious. The pill is precautionary so no bad cells can get started again.
Having been off steriods for weeks I can now start my vaccinations! Been waiting patiently/impatiently for this to happen. Right now I'm like an infant with no immunity. After my shots I will again be immune to most illnesses. Covid is still here, but I've worn a mask for the past 13 months, long before it was popular. Last winter a small child saw me walking with my mask and looked at me like my hair was on fire. Funny the difference a couple of months makes.
I've been able to work a little more which lets me feel more productive. I don't know how my co-workers do it. I work three hours and I'm wiped out. They are putting in 9-12 hour days right now.
I thank The Lord for my progress. Even in this time of turmoil we need to remember "He's got this". I want to wish everyone a blessed holiday season and hope you all can spend some time with family. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
