Darin thankfully had several good days last week. He was more like himself, got to visit with a few friends, and was able to eat some of his favorite foods.  But, as predicted, the rough days have arrived.  This round of chemotherapy has definitely had an impact on him and the rest of the family. Darin is in a lot of pain. He has a fever, mouth sores, and is having difficulty talking and swallowing.  Thankfully, he is allowed morphine, but the relief has been minimal and it causes him to move in and out of consciousness.  As you can imagine, it has been devastating for Rebecca to see him like this. Doctors predict that this could last about 7 to 10 more days. Please keep the Walds in your thoughts and prayers. Your love and support will help get them through the bad days  - so they can get to the better days ahead!
