We know it wasn't easy to let Dale go, what courage he had to stay with us as long as he could. You must treasure those precious moments you had together. Our journey on earth is short compared to the eternity we will spend with Jesus. It is a comfort to know Dale will meet us there. His example of trusting in the Lord and loving him as his Savior is his legacy for us to emulate. We know this didn't just begin with the diagnosis but that is how Dale lived his life, walking and talking to Jesus. We can imagine he will do so in his new home. He will also continue to radiate this love and his examples whenever we remember being in his presence. We will miss him very much and may the many friends and family members keep your spirits up when you are down and may we comfort you in the knowledge that we loved him too. May you always know we love you and treasure having had Dale in
our lives. God be with you, Aunt Joanne and Uncle Al .

Dear Betsy, nothing will ever take away the good memories of living next to you both. We remember Dale standing on our doorstep one Easter with a beautiful Lili plant offering support when we needed it. From overseas, there is nothing we can do for you now but offer mental support in times to come and keeping memories of Dale alive! Love Rene and Monique

Betsy,
It is with such sadness that I read all these beautiful tributes. Your last entry was so well expressed and I agree with you that Dale loved fully each one that he came in contact with. When I think of him, I see him with that huge grin that reached his eyes and made you feel that he was so glad to see you. He touched each one of us with graciousness and genuine faith that is an example to us daily. He is, and will continue to be, so missed in daily moments. He was a true gentleman and my life is made richer for having known him.

Beautiful words Betsy! You have been so strong, supportive, encouraging and caring through this whole journey. Dale and your family have been so blessed by you. We love the new photos with each of you and Dale´s contagious smile. He is walking with his precious Savior now and He is always with you. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

James 5:11 (ESV). Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.
