Journal
Thank You all again for reaching out to us as we grieved the loss of our Amazing Dad/Gpa/Great Grandpa.
Our life has settled into a rhythm and we’re honoring him by living our lives fully as he would’ve wanted us to do.
Seeing his headstone at Fort Snelling was such an emotional day for us. It also brought peace. He’s no longer fighting blindness or cancer. I’ve seen or heard many visits from him since he passed. The creaking of the floor outside his room. The lights going out and a curtain moving with no breeze to cause it to move. Furnace breaking and of course the snow he sent Tom to shovel, snow blow and roof rake.
The birds flocked back to his feeder and every day we see him and Mom visiting as Cardinals and Blue Jays.
As Easter approaches I’m reminded of his belief in God and his joy in seeing his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He loved it when we gathered to hunt eggs and enjoy our meal. He will be missed in person, but he’ll be with us in spirit.
Please tell those you love you love them because nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.
Bless You!!!
