Hello!
The old saying no news is good news continues with our Ma!
She has been healing and her hair is growing back!
Mom had initially started chemotherapy and also a trial/research chemo drug. With all hopes of helping others find a cure, she has decided that she is just done feeling sick and yucky! She had a treatment last week and although she definitely misses all the nurses and staff at The Prairie Center she will not miss the yuckiness. So she has stopped the research drug.
She will begin radiation tomorrow and those will be 20 treatments five days a week. She has a date in her head that she would love to begin work again and she is working towards that goal!
Every day we hear of some one we know who has gotten a diagnosis of cancer! Some are very close to us and others we may only know through another friend. Here is one thing that you can do for anyone and that is to say a prayer! A prayer that the meds to stop the chemo from making them sick will do it's job, that they have great doctors who will not be afraid to try something new.
So, to our friends who are battling we will say a prayer for you! And then tell you to KICK it's @$$
As most of you know October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. This Friday the Sioux Valley Volleyball team will be dressed in Pink in honor of those who have battled. Taylor can't wait to play for her Nana!
