Leila, thank you so much for letting us share your heartache and writing how specifically we can be praying for you all. Carter’s urgent needs, as well as you and the rest of your family, have been in my constant thoughts and prayers.

Love and prayers. Think of your family often. As I was posting these scriptures came to mind.

Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. ... Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Dear Leila and Chuck,
I’m so very sorry that Carter and you are going through such a tremendous difficulty. Carter sounds much like my son, who is an avid free diver and sailor. My heart goes out to all of you and I will be praying for Carter and for both of you.

As a Mom my heart goes out to you... I hesitate commenting as I do not know Carter very well but I feel convicted to tell you my thoughts and prayers are with you and your son.

I have only known Carter since I began volunteering at LMC a few months ago. Carter is a very kind, helpful and hardworking guy. The road to recovery might be difficult but I believe that all things are possible with Christ. I also believe in the power of prayer and love. I have enlisted a few prayer warriors to continue praying for you all. Carter is in my thoughts all the time. He is such a lovely person and I feel so sad that this has happened to him. It will be hard on my education shift at LMC tomorrow telling people about the sea turtles with boat strike injuries. I hope the corrected surgery on his wrist is going well.
