Sending love and strength to you Bill! I know my words won't change the feeling of letting people down, which you stated you know is irrational. I will just say on behalf of everyone who knows you; we all feel lucky to know you and your humor, your warmth and love that you share freely. So it is our honor to care for you in your time of need. That's what friends are for buddy. We are all happy to help because we love you. Hang in there man. Thanks for sharing how you're doing. Don't feel bad about getting by with a little help from your friends. Let me know if there is anything I personally can do to help.

Brother Bill, the Waxwings and Robins are flocking through Birmingham,...a perennial sign that Winter's end is near. You've had a positive impact on many of us. You aren't letting anyone down. Don't let yourself down. Heal, friend. Stick with it. Spring beckons.

It's so heartening to read that your body is feeling even slightly better and your mind is freer - just hang in there through #4, knowing that hundreds of people are thinking of you with intense positive energy! Good thoughts! Strong thoughts! We're on your side in this ordeal!

Mr. Bill! Linda and I talk about you often out here in Colorado. What a great time we had with you all during the Readers' Rendezous. What a tough guy we know you are in fighting this cancer. What a difference you've made in the lives of so many. And what fun it will be to see you again out leading folks with your energy and wit! All the best, my friend! Carl & Linda

My husband and I continue to think of you and your family every single day, many times a day.

The Land of Rumination is littered with booby traps. How about some lighter food for thought?

- If a blue-footed booby were to lay a booby trap, what sort of booby trap would it lay? There’s got to be a joke in there somewhere...

- What do you get if you cross a computer with a vampire bat?
Love at first byte.

- I’ve heard the easiest way to I.D. a crow in the U.S. is to ask, “Are you an American?” If he says, “nuh-uh,” well, then he’s a fish crow.

- A penguin went into the mini-mart while waiting for his car to be repaired. It was a warm day, and he was feeling feverish. He waddled over to the frozen food case and hopped in. While he was in there, he noticed the vanilla ice cream was on sale... you know where this is going, don’t you? Once he tried a beakful, he couldn’t help himself. He gobbled it all down, until he was practically falling over and his beak and breast were an absolute mess.

When there was no more ice cream left to eat, the bloated, sticky penguin paid his ice cream bill, and waddled back over to the garage. The mechanic came out, took one look at the penguin, and said, “Sorry sir, but it looks like you blew a seal.” To which the penguin replied, “No no, that’s just ice cream. Now about my car...”

Hi Bill! As a cancer and chemo survivor....the effects are cumulative and I remembers reaching a "tipping point" in my mind, but you just hang on and point yourself toward the fact that after tomorrow's treatment there is ONE more....you've made it through THREE!! Focus on the "brighter" side of the process and you'll make it through...I am sending you positive thoughts, prayers and energy...MA
