Our hearts are saddened, but also rejoicing that we know you and call you "friend". We continue to pray for you and yours. God Bless You.

Hey there, Just catching up on your posts/blogs. Difficult time you are going through. I am sorry to hear it. Your writings are, as always, beautiful and thoughtful. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Michele
Bill, I can picture you trying to bend spoons! In fact, having seen my daughter go through what you are dealing with, I can picture so much more too, and I marvel at your ability to express yourself and share your feelings despite your body feeling like shit. You are my hero! Today you are getting another dose of that nasty stuff but we all hope it will kill the bad stuff in you body and bring you back to your good healthy self. Happy Valentines Day from your biggest fan in Maine. Hugs, Becky
I don’t know if you remember me Bill, I was your assistant at the Winter Wings Festival in Klamath Falls. I just found out about your battle with cancer and want to let you know I am praying for you. If justice Ginsberg can beat pancreatic cancer, you can too! Apparently she had it back in 2009. I had one of the best days out birding ever with you. You are one of the warmest hearted, most fun people I have ever met. Sending hugs and healing thoughts!
Thanks for the update Bill. Hang in there and it is good to hear from you and how you are doing with your treatment. Many blessings coming from Cincinnati. Keep up the good work and may all the chemicals do their job and eat up the bug of cancer in your body.
Peace to you this day Bill and don't beat yourself up, You are still a great individual and we appreciate you everyday. Marty
continue with all your very positive thoughts as you go through unimaginable discomfort. It will be a very healing aspect to add to your care. Know that we in your far-reaching birding community are all with you and also sending lots of positive energy. Blessings, and be well
Sending you best wishes and healing vibes. Your whole family instilled a love of birding in my late 40’s from first meeting you in 1997 ish at the Lakeside Midwest Birding Symposium that has only grown as I’ve aged. You guys and gals have facilitated so many of us interconnecting and spreading conservation, education, and recruiting younger converts here on the Lake Erie shore. I treasure Julie’s books, the Rain Crows CD’s, my collection of BWD’s, the memories of watching your kids grow up, and delightful conversations with your mom. I understand how helpless one can feel staring at your own mortality and having to adjust to a different reality...I’ve been there, but do the best you can and the new reality can be even more rewarding. Love to you all!
