Our 3rd time Septic Shock survivor was discharged late yesterday.  What a week...

Because of all the surgeries Bruce has had, and the pocket of fluid in his abdomen that just won't go away, he is susceptible to infection. And because he has had sepsis (and septic shock), he is susceptible to get it again.

Oh, and remember me mentioning that he had an upper respiratory thing starting and that I thought maybe that caused his fever to spike after being fever free for a couple of days?  Whelp... I got the same thing 2 days later.  Not sure when we were exposed, but I tested both of us last night, and we have COVID.   Really?  Quite the ending for this last week.

Bruce was sent home with IV antibiotics for 2 weeks, then he will be taking oral antibiotics for the next 4 weeks after that.

Praises:

~That God brought Bruce to the other side of Septic Shock again!

~For all the healthcare professionals that God is working through.

~For all of you who pray for him and our family... We are beyond grateful.

Prayer requests:

~Again, first and foremost, that God would give us another miracle and remove Bruce's cancer.

~If not, that the cancer does not grow or spread during these next few weeks of taking antibiotics... He cannot have chemo or immunotherapy at the same time as antibiotics.

~For God to protect his body from  infection, especially Sepsis.

~For a resolution to this abscess, or pocket of fluid, in his abdomen he has had since his big surgery a little over 2 years ago.

~That we both heal from Covid quickly...  and that it does not cause any issues for Bruce.

Romans 8:18

Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
