We’ve got great news! Grant got the call yesterday from his pulmonary office with the results from his overnight pulse ox.. he officially no longer needs extra oxygen for sleeping!! 🙌🏼😭🙏🏼
God’s timing is always perfect. We were a bit annoyed at how long it took to receive the pulse ox and then anxious to get the results but how perfect that we received the news on the 365th day of Grant using oxygen. A year ago today is the day I brought Grant to the ER so he's been on some sort of oxygen for exactly 365 days. 🤯WOW. For the next few months we'll be saying "a year ago ________ happened" a lot. I think it will be good to remember, to process, and to continue to thank God for all He's done in one year.
I read Jesus Calling this morning curious what the message is for today’s date as I did not read it last year. It’s no surprise that it’s so applicable to what we went through and would have been a great message for us to read on that day. That first week of Grant in the hospital I was not looking to God for security. It wasn’t until I surrendered everything (after he was put on the ventilator) that I was able to see the radiance of Jesus’ face in the darkness and feel His Presence and Peace.
Our prayer for you all who followed along on our journey is that when you find yourself going through a valley, you will remember that nothing is impossible with God. Surrender your control because God’s plans are so much higher and greater than you could ever imagine and He will meet you where you’re at.
God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations!
Ephesians 3:20-21 (The Message)
Thanks a million for your prayers again. 🙏🏼🤍
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
