So glad to hear that your pain level has been falling and that you are feeling good. Lisa and I are sending positive energy your way and will be thinking of you on Nov 2 as you celebrate 34 years of teaching and research at UW.

Bob & Sally, Good news that our many prayers are being answered. Not sure what retirement might look like for Wisconsin's "Engineering Energizer Bunny" but we are hopeful this will help focus you energy on the most important things in your truly amazing life. Sorry we will miss the retirement gathering on Friday. Although there are many humorous stories from conferences of yesteryear, I suspect the home team will go easy on you. Thanks for keeping us posted on the progress. Your good news has made my day, Dave & Terry

We are so glad to hear the good news of this progress! We will continue to pray for even more healing and improvement with pain management.

Your leadership and vision at WEMPEC and, of course, via your teaching and research - and so many other activities - will be rightly celebrated - and missed.

Bob, I'm so happy to hear some good news re: your cancer and that your pain level has greatly diminished. It sounds like your students will be well taken care of too as they continue their work to completion which must be a relief for you - as I know how dedicated you are to them (and to so many other people and causes). Enjoy your retirement celebration after 34 years of faithful service and I hope to see you in person soon! PS. I need to go to the early service at CPC. Blessings to you and Sally, Nancy G.

Although we never want to admit it, daily work activities place a large stress toll on our bodies. With your reduced workload we pray that your body will take the opportunity to fight back even more! Keep up the good battle! You are an inspiration to us all!
