Bob thanks for sharing the good news! Glad to hear the retirement process went well and will be thinking of you this Friday. UW Engineering was lucky to have you on the faculty for 34 years! Many significant contributions over those years. My wife and I will continue to pray for you and yours.
Prof Lorenz, I'm happy to read the encouraging news. Also, congratulations on the upcoming retirement. You've had an incredible career - one that the rest of us can only dream of having. Your deep knowledge and tireless enthusiasm for motor controls has inspired many generations of engineers to get excited about motor controls (including myself)!
