This is after completing IV chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, a majority of my scheduled immunotherapy and some of my oral chemotherapy treatments. We are so blessed to share that my mammogram scans were clear of malignancy and showed no evidence of disease. It has been a very long road the past year. I have 1 more immunotherapy infusion to complete and will soon have my port removed. Then I will hopefully be able to tolerate at least two more rounds of oral chemotherapy. The end of my systemic treatment is in sight, finally. We continue to work on processing the long road ahead once treatment is complete. There will always be so much fear in the unknown. This experience has been the biggest challenge of my mental health, my faith, and ability to let go of control. A challenge that will continue but in no way am I ready to give up on. Right now we are very much celebrating this victory of me still being cancer free!
