Welcome to Al’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportIt has been one year since I went down with a hemorrhage and stroke. A lot has happened over this past year, and I would not wish that anyone would go through what I have gone through. A lot of things had to line up well for me to be on the path of recovery I am on. Thank goodness I made it to the hospital in a timely manner and serendipitously, there is a neurotrauma center close by. I thank all of the surgeons, nurses, therapists, doctors and staff who aided in my journey. I still have a long way to go, but I am optimistic that I will be back to living a full life and doing things I love. Finally, friends and family have gotten me through tough times. My brother and sister helped manage my care and I am fortunate for this. Thank you all, thank you so much for your support. If you take something from this, please know, stress is not worth it, and hug your loved ones extra tightly. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed and I hope you all know that now because you know someone who has lived through this ordeal.
