Most of you know that I was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I'm using CaringBridge website to keep family and friends updated in one place. I had a core biopsy on 9-10-21 of my right breast. The pathology report confirmed: Invasive Breast Ductal Carcinoma, with metastatic carcinoma involving lymph nodes & extention into chest muscle & surrounding tissue. Over the last 2 weeks I've under gone MRI, CT, PET scan & Nuclear Bone scan to see if the cancer has metastasized anywhere else. The CT of my chest revealed 2 nodules found in each of my lungs, the PET scan shows they are too small to uptake tracer & will have to be checked again in 6 months. The MRI revealed 4 more masses in my right breast & 2 in my left breast. They took biopsies of these on 10-1-21 and we are waiting on the pathology results to determine the full extent of the cancer and what my best surgical options will be.
